23Sobald nun der Inhalt des Briefs des Königs Arthahsastha Rehum und Simsai, dem Schreiber, und ihren Genossen vorgelesen worden war, zogen sie in Eile nach Jerusalem zu den Juden und nötigten sie unter Anwendung von Gewalt zur Einstellung der Arbeit.

23Entonces, cuando el traslado de la carta del rey Artajerjes fué leído delante de Rehum, y de Simsai secretario, y sus compañeros, fueron prestamente á Jerusalem á los Judíos, é hiciéronles cesar con poder y fuerza.

23Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes’ letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power.
