Ezequiel 5

1Et toi, fils de l'homme, prends avec toi un glaive plus tranchant que le rasoir d'un barbier ; achète-le pour toi, et passe-le sur ta tête et sur ton menton ; tu prendras ensuite des poids et une balance ; puis tu sépareras ta barbe et tes cheveux.
2Tu en brûleras dans le feu un quart, au milieu de la ville, pendant que s'accompliront les jours du siège ; tu en prendras un autre quart pour le brûler dans son enceinte ; puis, avec le glaive, tu couperas le troisième quart autour de ses murailles ; enfin tu jetteras au vent le dernier quart, que je poursuivrai à coups d'épée nue.
3Et tu prendras quelque peu de poils, et tu les attacheras au bord de ton manteau.
4Et tu en prendras encore, et tu les jetteras au milieu du feu, et tu les brilleras dans le feu ; il en sortira une flamme, et tu diras à toute la maison d'Israël :
5Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : C'est là Jérusalem ; je l'ai placée, elle et son territoire, au milieu des nations.
6Et tu diras mes ordonnances à cette ville coupable entre toutes les nations, et mes préceptes aux peuples de son territoire ; car ils ont répudié mes ordonnances, et ils n'ont point marché selon mes voies ;
7À cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur : En punition de ce que les nations qui vous entourent ont été pour vous une occasion de péché ; de ce que vous n'avez point cheminé selon mes préceptes, que vous n'avez point exécuté mes lois, mais que vous avez suivi celles des nations qui vous entourent ;
8À cause de cela, ainsi parle le Seigneur : Voilà que je suis contre toi, et au milieu de toi j'exécuterai mon jugement devant les nations.
9Et je ferai en toi des choses que je n'ai jamais faites, et telles que je n'en ferai jamais de semblables pour punir toutes tes abominations.
10À cause de cela, les pères mangeront leurs enfants au milieu de toi, et les enfants mangeront leurs pères ; et j'exécuterai en toi mon jugement, et je disperserai tes restes à tous les vents.
11À cause de cela, par ma vie, dit le Seigneur, en punition de ce que par toutes tes abominations tu as souillé mes choses saintes, je te répudierai ; et mon œil sera sans pitié, et moi je serai sans miséricorde.
12Le quart des tiens périra par la peste ; le quart périra par la famine au milieu de toi ; le quart sera jeté par moi à tous les vents ; le quart périra autour de toi par le glaive ; et je les poursuivrai à coups d'épée nue.
13Et ma colère et ma fureur s'assouvira contre eux, et tu connaîtras que moi, le Seigneur, j'ai parlé dans ma jalousie, pendant que j'assouvissais ma colère contre eux.
14Et à la vue de tous les passants, je ferai un désert de toi et de tes filles qui entourent ton enceinte.
15Et tu seras gémissante et digne de pitié au milieu des nations qui t'entourent, pendant que j'exécuterai sur toi mon jugement en me vengeant de toi selon ma colère.
16Moi, le Seigneur, j'ai parlé, et quand je lancerai contre eux les traits de la faim, ils seront en défaillance, et je briserai le soutien de leur pain ;
17Et j'enverrai contre toi la famine et les bêtes farouches, et je me vengerai de toi, et la peste et le sang passeront sur toi, et je promènerai sur toi le glaive autour de ton enceinte. Moi, le Seigneur, j'ai parlé.

1Y TÚ, hijo del hombre, tómate un cuchillo agudo, una navaja de barbero toma, y hazla pasar sobre tu cabeza y tu barba: tómate después un peso de balanza, y reparte los pelos.
2Una tercera parte quemarás con fuego en medio de la ciudad, cuando se cumplieren los días del cerco, y tomarás una tercera parte, y herirás con cuchillo alrededor de ella; y una tercera parte esparcirás al viento, y yo desenvainaré espada en pos de ellos.
3Tomarás también de allí unos pocos por cuenta, y los atarás en el canto de tu ropa.
4Y tomarás otra vez de ellos, y los echarás en mitad del fuego, y en el fuego los quemarás: de allí saldrá el fuego en toda la casa de Israel.
5Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Esta es Jerusalem: púsela en medio de las gentes y de las tierras alrededor de ella.
6Y ella mudó mis juicios y mis ordenanzas en impiedad más que las gentes, y más que las tierras que están alrededor de ella; porque desecharon mis juicios y mis mandamientos, y no anduvieron en ellos.
7Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: ¿Por haberos multiplicado más que á las gentes que están alrededor de vosotros, no habéis andado en mis mandamientos, ni habéis guardado mis leyes? Ni aun según las leyes de las gentes que están alrededor de vosotros habéis hecho.
8Así pues ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí yo contra ti; sí, yo, y haré juicios en medio de ti á los ojos de las naciones.
9Y haré en ti lo que nunca hice, ni jamás haré cosa semejante, á causa de todas tus abominaciones.
10Por eso los padres comerán á los hijos en medio de ti, y los hijos comerán á sus padres; y haré en ti juicios, y esparciré á todos vientos todo tu residuo.
11Por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, ciertamente por haber violado mi santuario con todas tus abominaciones, te quebrantaré yo también: mi ojo no perdonará, ni tampoco tendré yo misericordia.
12Una tercera parte de ti morirá de pestilencia, y de hambre será consumida en medio de ti; y una tercera parte caerá á cuchillo alrededor de ti; y una tercera parte esparciré á todos los vientos, y tras ellos desenvainaré espada.
13Y cumpliráse mi furor, y haré que repose en ellos mi enojo, y tomaré satisfacción: y sabrán que yo Jehová he hablado en mi celo, cuando habré cumplido en ellos mi enojo.
14Y te tornaré en desierto y en oprobio entre las gentes que están alrededor de ti, á los ojos de todo transeunte.
15Y serás oprobio, y escarnio, y escarmiento, y espanto á las gentes que están alrededor de ti, cuando yo hiciere en ti juicios en furor é indignación, y en reprensiones de ira. Yo Jehová he hablado.
16Cuando arrojare yo sobre ellos las perniciosas saetas del hambre, que serán para destrucción, las cuales enviaré para destruiros, entonces aumentaré el hambre sobre vosotros, y quebrantaré entre vosotros el arrimo del pan.
17Enviaré pues sobre vosotros hambre, y malas bestias que te destruyan; y pestilencia y sangre pasarán por ti; y meteré sobre ti cuchillo. Yo Jehová he hablado.

1And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber’s razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.
2Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.
3Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.
4Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.
5Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.
6And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.
7Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;
8Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.
9And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.
10Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.
11Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
12A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.
13Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.
14Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.
15So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.
16When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:
17So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.

1“You, son of man, take a sharp sword. You shall take it as a barber’s razor to yourself, and shall cause it to pass over your head and over your beard. Then take balances to weigh and divide the hair.
2A third part you shall burn in the fire in the middle of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled. You shall take a third part, and strike with the sword around it. A third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.
3You shall take a small number of these and bind them in the folds of your robe.
4Of these again you shall take, and cast them into the middle of the fire, and burn them in the fire. From it a fire will come out into all the house of Israel.
5“The Lord GOD says: ‘This is Jerusalem. I have set her in the middle of the nations, and countries are around her.
6She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are around her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.’
7“Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are around you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my ordinances, neither have followed the ordinances of the nations that are around you;
8therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I, even I, am against you; and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.
9I will do in you that which I have not done, and which I will not do anything like it any more, because of all your abominations.
10Therefore the fathers will eat the sons within you, and the sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments on you; and I will scatter the whole remnant of you to all the winds.
11Therefore as I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you. My eye won’t spare, and I will have no pity.
12A third part of you will die with the pestilence, and they will be consumed with famine within you. A third part will fall by the sword around you. A third part I will scatter to all the winds, and will draw out a sword after them.
13“‘Thus my anger will be accomplished, and I will cause my wrath toward them to rest, and I will be comforted. They will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my zeal, when I have accomplished my wrath on them.
14“‘Moreover I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations that are around you, in the sight of all that pass by.
15So it will be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment, to the nations that are around you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and in wrath, and in wrathful rebukes—I, the LORD, have spoken it—
16when I send on them the evil arrows of famine that are for destruction, which I will send to destroy you. I will increase the famine on you and will break your staff of bread.
17I will send on you famine and evil animals, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood will pass through you. I will bring the sword on you. I, the LORD, have spoken it.’”
