Ezequiel 4

1“Agora, filho do homem, pegue um tijolo de barro ainda mole e grave nele um desenho da cidade de Jerusalém.
2Grave também figuras de rampas de terra construídas junto aos muros; desenhe acampamentos militares em volta da cidade e os grandes troncos usados para arrombar os portões.
3Apanhe uma panela de ferro e a coloque entre você e a cidade gravada no tijolo. Ela estará cercada, e é você que a está cercando! Cada detalhe tem um significado; isso servirá de sinal para os israelitas.
4“De agora em diante você deve dormir deitado sobre o lado esquerdo do seu corpo. Você terá de carregar a culpa de Israel durante o número de dias que estiver deitado sobre o lado esquerdo.
5Cada dia em que você se deitar sobre o lado esquerdo do corpo representará um ano de castigo para Israel, ou seja, por trezentos e noventa dias você carregará a culpa da nação de Israel.
6“Depois disso, passe a dormir sobre o lado direito do corpo, durante quarenta dias, para indicar o castigo de Judá pelos seus pecados. Cada dia vai significar um ano.
7Enquanto isso, você deve continuar representando o cerco de Jerusalém. Deve ficar com o rosto virado para o desenho da cidade; com o braço nu estendido em sua direção, profetize contra a cidade.
8Vou paralisar você com cordas, obrigando-o a ficar na mesma posição, até terminarem os dias da sua aflição. Você não poderá se virar para o outro lado!
9“Durante os trezentos e noventa dias que estiver deitado sobre o seu lado, você deverá comer pães feitos de uma mistura de trigo, cevada, lentilhas e favas. Misture tudo isso numa vasilha, e depois prepare o seu pão.
10Você deve fazer um racionamento de comida; deve comer duzentos e cinquenta gramas por dia, em horas determinadas.
11Também deve racionar a água, bebendo apenas meio litro por dia, um pouco de cada vez, em horas determinadas.
12Prepare o seu pão como quem prepara broas de cevada. Leve a massa para um lugar onde todos possam ver, e lá asse tudo ao fogo. Para acender o fogo, você deve usar fezes secas de homem”.
13Porque o Senhor afirma: “O povo de Israel vai comer comida impura, proibida pela Lei, em terras estranhas, por onde eu espalhar o meu povo”.
14Então eu respondi: “Ah, Soberano Senhor! Eu nunca me contaminei comendo comida impura. Desde minha infância eu sempre evitei comer animais mortos por doença ou despedaçados por animais selvagens; nunca comi alimentos proibidos pela Lei!”
15Então ele me respondeu: “Está bem! Você pode usar esterco de vaca, em lugar de fezes humanas, para fazer o seu pão”.
16Depois acrescentou: “Filho do homem, eu provocarei falta de alimento em Jerusalém. A comida será tão pouca que vai ser cuidadosamente dividida entre os moradores. Também vai faltar água, e será necessário beber apenas alguns goles por dia. O povo todo ficará ansioso para beber, com medo de a água acabar.
17Por causa da falta de comida e água, todos terão medo uns dos outros. Os moradores de Jerusalém sentirão no corpo e na alma o castigo de seus pecados”.

1Y TÚ, hijo del hombre, tómate un adobe, y ponlo delante de tí, y diseña sobre él la ciudad de Jerusalem:
2Y pondrás contra ella cerco, y edificarás contra ella fortaleza, y sacarás contra ella baluarte, y asentarás delante de ella campo, y pondrás contra ella arietes alrededor.
3Tómate también una plancha de hierro, y ponla en lugar de muro de hierro entre ti y la ciudad: afirmarás luego tu rostro contra ella, y será en lugar de cerco, y la sitiarás. Es señal á la casa de Israel.
4Y tú dormirás sobre tu lado izquierdo, y pondrás sobre él la maldad de la casa de Israel: el número de los días que dormirás sobre él, llevarás sobre ti la maldad de ellos.
5Yo te he dado los años de su maldad por el número de los días, trescientos y noventa días: y llevarás la maldad de la casa de Israel.
6Y cumplidos estos, dormirás sobre tu lado derecho segunda vez, y llevarás la maldad de la casa de Judá cuarenta días: día por año, día por año te lo he dado.
7Y al cerco de Jerusalem afirmarás tu rostro, y descubierto tu brazo, profetizarás contra ella.
8Y he aquí he puesto sobre ti cuerdas, y no te tornarás del un tu lado al otro lado, hasta que hayas cumplido los días de tu cerco.
9Y tú toma para ti trigo, y cebada, y habas, y lentejas, y mijo, y avena, y ponlo en una vasija, y hazte pan de ello el número de los días que durmieres sobre tu lado: trescientos y noventa días comerás de él.
10Y la comida que has de comer será por peso de veinte siclos al día: de tiempo á tiempo lo comerás.
11Y beberás el agua por medida, la sexta parte de un hin: de tiempo á tiempo beberás.
12Y comerás pan de cebada cocido debajo de la ceniza; y lo cocerás á vista de ellos con los estiércoles que salen del hombre.
13Y dijo Jehová: Así comerán los hijos de Israel su pan inmundo, entre las gentes á donde los lanzaré yo.
14Y dije: ¡Ah Señor Jehová! he aquí que mi alma no es inmunda, ni nunca desde mi mocedad hasta este tiempo comí cosa mortecina ni despedazada, ni nunca en mi boca entró carne inmunda.
15Y respondióme: He aquí te doy estiércoles de bueyes en lugar de los estiércoles de hombre, y dispondrás tu pan con ellos.
16Díjome luego: Hijo del hombre, he aquí quebrantaré el sostén del pan en Jerusalem, y comerán el pan por peso, y con angustia; y beberán el agua por medida, y con espanto.
17Porque les faltará el pan y el agua, y se espantarán los unos con los otros, y se consumirán por su maldad.

1Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:
2And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
3Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
7Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
8And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
9Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
10And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
11Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
12And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
13And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
14Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
15Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
16Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
17That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
World English Bible
1“You also, son of man, take a tile, and lay it before yourself, and portray on it a city, even Jerusalem.
2Lay siege against it, build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it. Also set camps against it and plant battering rams against it all around.
3Take for yourself an iron pan and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city. Then set your face toward it. It will be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4“Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it. According to the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.
5For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred ninety days. So you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6“Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah. I have appointed forty days, each day for a year, to you.
7You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.
8Behold, I put ropes on you, and you shall not turn yourself from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.
9“Take for yourself also wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel. Make bread of it. According to the number of the days that you will lie on your side, even three hundred ninety days, you shall eat of it.
10Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day. From time to time you shall eat it.
11You shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin. From time to time you shall drink.
12You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.”
13The LORD said, “Even thus will the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them.”
14Then I said, “Ah Lord GOD! Behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals. No abominable meat has come into my mouth!”
15Then he said to me, “Behold, I have given you cow’s dung for man’s dung, and you shall prepare your bread on it.”
16Moreover he said to me, “Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem. They will eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness. They will drink water by measure, and in dismay;
17that they may lack bread and water, be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
