1La main du Seigneur se posa sur moi et le Seigneur me transporta en esprit et me déposa au milieu de la vallée, laquelle était pleine d'ossements.
2Il me fit avancer près d'eux, tout autour; or, il y en avait un très grand nombre à la surface de la vallée, et ils étaient tout desséchés.
3Il me dit: "Fils de l'homme, ces ossements peuvent-ils revivre? " Je répondis "Seigneur Dieu, tu le sais."
4Et il me dit: "Prophétise sur ces ossements et dis-leur: Ossements desséchés, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel!
5Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu à ces ossements: Voici que je vais faire passer en vous un souffle, et vous revivrez.
6Je mettrai sur vous des nerfs, je ferai croître autour de vous de la chair, je vous envelopperai d'une peau; puis je mettrai en vous l'esprit, et vous vivrez; et vous reconnaîtrez que je suis l'Eternel."
7Je prophétisai comme j'en avais reçu l'ordre. Il se fit une rumeur, comme je prophétisais, puis un frémissement, et les os se rapprochèrent en s'ajustant l'un à l'autre.
8Je vis qu'il y avait sur eux des nerfs, qu'une chair s'était développée et qu'une peau s'étendait par-dessus, mais de souffle, il n'y en avait point encore.
9Il me dit fais appel à l'esprit, fais appel, fils de l'homme, et dis à l'esprit: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Des quatre coins, viens, ô esprit, souffle sur ces cadavres et qu'ils revivent.
10Et je prophétisai, comme il me l'avait ordonné; et l'esprit les pénétra, ils vécurent et ils se dressèrent sur leurs pieds, en une multitude extrêmement nombreuse.
11Alors il me dit: "Fils de l'homme, ces ossements, c'est toute la maison d'Israël. Ceux-ci disent: "Nos os sont desséchés, notre espoir est perdu, c'est fait de nous!"
12Eh bien! Prophétise et dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Voici que je rouvre vos tombeaux, et je vous ferai remonter de vos tombeaux, ô mon peuple! et je vous ramènerai au pays d'Israël.
13Et vous reconnaîtrez que je suis l'Eternel, quand j'aurai ouvert vos tombeaux et quand je vous aurai fait remonter de vos tombeaux, ô mon peuple!
14Je mettrai mon esprit en vous et vous serez vivifiés, et je vous asseoirai sur votre sol, et vous reconnaîtrez que je suis l'Eternel, -qui ai parlé et qui exécute, dit l'Eternel."
15La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes :
16"Or toi, fils de l'homme, prends une pièce de bois et écris dessus: "Pour Juda et pour les enfants d'Israël, ses associés. Puis, prends une autre pièce de bois et écris dessus: Pour Joseph, souche d'Ephraïm, et toute la maison d'Israël, ses associés.
17Rapproche ces pièces l'une de l'autre, pour n'avoir qu'une pièce unique; et elles seront réunies dans ta main.
18Et lorsque les enfants de ton peuple te parleront ainsi: "Ne nous révéleras-tu pas ce que tu entends par là? "
19Réponds-leur Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Voici, je vais prendre l'arbre de Joseph qui est dans la main d'Ephraïm, et les tiges d'Israël, ses associées; je les lui adjoindrai avec l'arbre de Juda, et j'en ferai un arbre unique, et ils ne feront qu'un dans ma main.
20Or, les pièces de bois sur lesquelles tu auras écrit seront dans ta main, visibles à leurs yeux,
21puis dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Voici, je vais prendre les enfants d'Israël d'entre les nations où ils sont allés, je les rassemblerai de toutes parts et je les conduirai sur leur territoire.
22Je les constituerai en nation unie dans le pays, sur les montagnes d'Israël; un seul roi sera le roi d'eux tous: ils ne formeront plus une nation double et ils ne seront plus, plus jamais, fractionnés en deux royaumes.
23Ils ne se souilleront plus par leurs idoles abjectes, par leurs turpitudes, par tous leurs forfaits; je les tirerai de toutes les demeures où ils ont péché, et je les purifierai: alors ils seront pour moi un peuple et moi, je serai pour eux un Dieu.
24Mon serviteur David régnera sur eux, il n'y aura qu'un pasteur pour eux tous; ils suivront mes lois, ils garderont mes statuts et s'y conformeront.
25Ils habiteront le pays que j'ai donné à mon serviteur Jacob, qu'ont habité vos pères; ils y demeureront, eux et leurs enfants et leurs petits-enfants pour toujours, et David, mon serviteur, sera leur prince pour toujours.
26Je contracterai avec eux une alliance de paix, une alliance éternelle leur sera accordée, je les rétablirai. Je les rendrai grands, et je mettrai mon sanctuaire au milieu d'eux pour toujours.
27Ma résidence sera près d'eux; je serai leur Dieu, et eux seront mon peuple.
28Et les nations sauront que moi, l'Eternel, je sanctifie Israël, puisque mon Sanctuaire sera au milieu d'eux pour toujours."

1Y LA mano de Jehová fué sobre mí, y sacóme en espíritu de Jehová, y púsome en medio de un campo que estaba lleno de huesos.
2E hízome pasar cerca de ellos por todo alrededor: y he aquí que eran muy muchos sobre la haz del campo, y por cierto secos en gran manera.
3Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, ¿vivirán estos huesos? Y dije: Señor Jehová, tú lo sabes.
4Díjome entonces: Profetiza sobre estos huesos, y diles: Huesos secos, oid palabra de Jehová.
5Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová á estos huesos: He aquí, yo hago entrar espíritu en vosotros, y viviréis.
6Y pondré nervios sobre vosotros, y haré subir sobre vosotros carne, y os cubriré de piel, y pondré en vosotros espíritu, y viviréis; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
7Profeticé pues, como me fué mandado; y hubo un ruido mientras yo profetizaba, y he aquí un temblor, y los huesos se llegaron cada hueso á su hueso.
8Y miré, y he aquí nervios sobre ellos, y la carne subió, y la piel cubrió por encima de ellos: mas no había en ellos espíritu.
9Y díjome: Profetiza al espíritu, profetiza, hijo del hombre, y di al espíritu: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Espíritu, ven de los cuatro vientos, y sopla sobre estos muertos, y vivirán.
10Y profeticé como me había mandado, y entró espíritu en ellos, y vivieron, y estuvieron sobre sus pies, un ejército grande en extremo.
11Díjome luego: Hijo del hombre, todos estos huesos son la casa de Israel. He aquí, ellos dicen: Nuestros huesos se secaron, y pereció nuestra esperanza, y somos del todo talados.
12Por tanto profetiza, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí, yo abro vuestros sepulcros, pueblo mío, y os haré subir de vuestras sepulturas, y os traeré á la tierra de Israel.
13Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando abriere vuestros sepulcros, y os sacare de vuestras sepulturas, pueblo mío.
14Y pondré mi espíritu en vosotros, y viviréis, y os haré reposar sobre vuestra tierra; y sabréis que yo Jehová hablé, y lo hice, dice Jehová.
15Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
16Tú, hijo del hombre, tómate ahora un palo, y escribe en él: A Judá, y á los hijos de Israel sus compañeros. Toma después otro palo, y escribe en él: A José, palo de Ephraim, y á toda la casa de Israel sus compañeros.
17Júntalos luego el uno con el otro, para que sean en uno, y serán uno en tu mano.
18Y cuando te hablaren los hijos de tu pueblo, diciendo: ¿No nos enseñarás qué te propones con eso?
19Diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí, yo tomo el palo de José que está en la mano de Ephraim, y á las tribus de Israel sus compañeros, y pondrélos con él, con el palo de Judá, y harélos un palo, y serán uno en mi mano.
20Y los palos sobre que escribieres, estarán en tu mano delante de sus ojos;
21Y les dirás: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí, yo tomo á los hijos de Israel de entre las gentes á las cuales fueron, y los juntaré de todas partes, y los traeré á su tierra:
22Y los haré una nación en la tierra, en los montes de Israel; y un rey será á todos ellos por rey: y nunca más serán dos naciones, ni nunca más serán divididos en dos reinos:
23Ni más se contaminarán con sus ídolos, y con sus abominaciones, y con todas sus rebeliones: y los salvaré de todas sus habitaciones en las cuales pecaron, y los limpiaré; y me serán por pueblo, y yo á ellos por Dios.
24Y mi siervo David será rey sobre ellos, y á todos ellos será un pastor: y andarán en mis derechos, y mis ordenanzas guardarán, y las pondrán por obra.
25Y habitarán en la tierra que dí á mi siervo Jacob, en la cual habitaron vuestros padres; en ella habitarán ellos, y sus hijos, y los hijos de sus hijos para siempre; y mi siervo David les será príncipe para siempre.
26Y concertaré con ellos pacto de paz, perpetuo pacto será con ellos: y los asentaré, y los multiplicaré, y pondré mi santuario entre ellos para siempre.
27Y estará en ellos mi tabernáculo, y seré á ellos por Dios, y ellos me serán por pueblo.
28Y sabrán las gentes que yo Jehová santifico á Israel, estando mi santuario entre ellos para siempre.

1The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
2And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
3And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
4Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
5Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
7So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
9Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
15The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
16Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
18And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
19Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
20And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
21And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
23Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
24And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
25And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
27My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
28And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

1The LORD’s hand was on me, and he brought me out in the LORD’s Spirit, and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.

3He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I answered, “Lord GOD, you know.”

17Then join them for yourself to one another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.
18“When the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Won’t you show us what you mean by these?’
19tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in my hand.
20The sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes.”’
21Say to them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land.
22I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. One king will be king to them all. They will no longer be two nations. They won’t be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
23They won’t defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. So they will be my people, and I will be their God.
