Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
"Hijo de hombre, declara esto a tu pueblo; dile a ellos: 'Cuando Yo traiga una espada en contra de cualquier país, entonces el pueblo de esa tierra tome a un hombre de entre ellos mismos y lo hagan guardián para ellos.
Hijo del hombre, habla á los hijos de tu pueblo, y diles: Cuando trajere yo espada sobre la tierra, y el pueblo de la tierra tomare un hombre de sus términos, y se lo pusiere por atalaya,
Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
“Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and tell them, ‘When I bring the sword on a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman,
¡Él viera la espada mientras viene a la tierra, y él sopla su cuerno para advertir al pueblo!
Y él viere venir la espada sobre la tierra, y tocare corneta, y avisare al pueblo;
If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people,
Si el pueblo escucha el sonido del cuerno, pero no presta atención, y si la espada viene y los mata, entonces la sangre de cada uno está en su propia cabeza.
Cualquiera que oyere el sonido de la corneta, y no se apercibiere, y viniendo la espada lo tomare, su sangre será sobre su cabeza.
Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and doesn’t heed the warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.
Si alguien escucha el sonido del cuerno y no presta atención, su sangre está sobre él; pero si presta atención, él salvará su propia vida.
El sonido de la corneta oyó, y no se apercibió; su sangre será sobre él: mas el que se apercibiere, librará su vida.
He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
He heard the sound of the trumpet and didn’t take warning. His blood will be on him; whereas if he had heeded the warning, he would have delivered his soul.
Sin embargo, si el guardián ve la espada mientras viene, pero no sopla el cuerno, con el resultado que la gente no está apercibida, y si la espada viene y toma la vida de cualquiera, entonces la persona muere en su propio pecado, pero yo demandaré su sangre al guardián.'
Pero si el atalaya viere venir la espada, y no tocare la corneta, y el pueblo no se apercibiere, y viniendo la espada, tomare de él alguno; él por causa de su pecado fué tomado, mas demandaré su sangre de mano del atalaya.
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
But if the watchman sees the sword come and doesn’t blow the trumpet, and the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’
¡Ahora, tú mismo, hijo de hombre! Yo te he hecho un guardián para la casa de Israel; tú oirás las palabras de mi boca y les advertirás de mi parte.
Tú pues, hijo del hombre, yo te he puesto por atalaya á la casa de Israel, y oirás la palabra de mi boca, y los apercibirás de mi parte.
So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
“So you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and give them warnings from me.
Si Yo le digo a una persona malvada: '¡Malvado, tú de seguro morirás!' pero si tú no anuncias esto para advertir al malvado sobre su camino, entonces el que es malvado morirá en su pecado, pero ¡Yo demandaré su sangre de tu mano!
Diciendo yo al impío: Impío, de cierto morirás; si tú no hablares para que se guarde el impío de su camino, el impío morirá por su pecado, mas su sangre yo la demandaré de tu mano.
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
When I tell the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you don’t speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.
Pero tú, si adviertes al malvado sobre su camino, para que él pueda volverse de este, y si él no se vuelve de su camino, entonces él morirá en su pecado, pero tú, habrás salvado tú propia vida.
Y si tú avisares al impío de su camino para que de él se aparte, y él no se apartare de su camino, por su pecado morirá él, y tú libraste tu vida.
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn’t turn from his way; he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.
Así que tú, hijo de hombre, di a la casa de Israel, 'Tú estás dices esto: "¡Nuestras transgresiones y nuestros pecados están sobre nosotros, y nosotros estamos pudriéndonos en ellos! ¿Cómo podremos vivir?'"
Tú pues, hijo del hombre, di á la casa de Israel: Vosotros habéis hablado así, diciendo: Nuestras rebeliones y nuestros pecados están sobre nosotros, y á causa de ellos somos consumidos: ¿cómo pues viviremos?
Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
“You, son of man, tell the house of Israel: ‘You say this, “Our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we pine away in them. How then can we live?”’
Dile a ellos: 'Vivo Yo', esta es la declaración del SEÑOR Dios, Yo no me deleito en la muerte del malvado, puesto que si el malvado se arrepiente de su camino, ¡entonces él vivirá! ¡Arrepiéntete! ¡Arrepiéntete de tus caminos malvados! Porque ¿por qué deberías morir, oh casa de Israel?
Diles: Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que no quiero la muerte del impío, sino que se torne el impío de su camino, y que viva. Volveos, volveos de vuestros malos caminos: ¿y por qué moriréis, oh casa de Israel?
Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Tell them, ‘“As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?”’
Así que ahora tú, hijo de hombre, dile a tu pueblo: '¡La justicia de una persona justa no lo salvará si pecare! ¡La maldad de una persona malvada no causará que perezca si él se arrepiente de su pecado! Porque la persona justa no podrá vivir por su justicia si peca.
Y tú, hijo del hombre, di á los hijos de tu pueblo: La justicia del justo no lo librará el día que se rebelare; y la impiedad del impío no le será estorbo el día que se volviere de su impiedad; y el justo no podrá vivir por su justicia el día que pecare.
Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
“You, son of man, tell the children of your people, ‘The righteousness of the righteous will not deliver him in the day of his disobedience. And as for the wickedness of the wicked, he will not fall by it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither will he who is righteous be able to live by it in the day that he sins.
Si Yo le digo al justo: "¡De seguro vivirás!" y si él confía en su justicia y luego comete injusticia, Yo no traeré a la mente ninguna de sus justicias. Él morirá por la maldad que cometió.
Diciendo yo al justo, De cierto vivirá, y él confiado en su justicia hiciere iniquidad, todas sus justicias no vendrán en memoria, sino que morirá por su iniquidad que hizo.
When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
When I tell the righteous that he will surely live, if he trusts in his righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous deeds will be remembered; but he will die in his iniquity that he has committed.
Así que, si digo al malvado: "Tú seguramente morirás," pero si él entonces se arrepiente por sus pecados y hace lo que es justo y recto,
Y diciendo yo al impío: De cierto morirás; si él se volviere de su pecado, é hiciere juicio y justicia,
Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
Again, when I say to the wicked, “You will surely die,” if he turns from his sin and does that which is lawful and right,
si él restaura la garantía del préstamo la cual él demandó perversamente, o si él hace restitución de lo que él ha robado, y si él anda en los estatutos que dan vida y no comete más pecado, entonces él de seguro vivirá. No morirá.
Si el impío restituyere la prenda, devolviere lo que hubiere robado, caminare en las ordenanzas de la vida, no haciendo iniquidad, vivirá ciertamente y no morirá.
If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity, he will surely live. He will not die.
Ninguno de los pecados que él ha cometido serán traidos a la memoria por él. ¡Él ha actuado justa y rectamente, y así, él de seguro vivirá!
No se le recordará ninguno de sus pecados que había cometido: hizo juicio y justicia; vivirá ciertamente.
None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
None of his sins that he has committed will be remembered against him. He has done that which is lawful and right. He will surely live.
Pero tu pueblo dice: "¡El camino del Señor no es justo!" ¡pero son sus caminos los que no son justos!
Luego dirán los hijos de tu pueblo: No es recta la vía del Señor: la vía de ellos es la que no es recta.
Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
“‘Yet the children of your people say, “The way of the Lord is not fair;” but as for them, their way is not fair.
¡Cuando la persona justa se vuelve de su justicia y comete pecado, entonces él morirá en este!
Cuando el justo se apartare de su justicia, é hiciere iniquidad, morirá por ello.
When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he will even die therein.
Cuando el malvado se vuelve de su propia maldad y hace lo que es justo y recto, ¡él vivirá por estas cosas!
Y cuando el impío se apartare de su impiedad, é hiciere juicio y justicia, vivirá por ello.
But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
When the wicked turns from his wickedness and does that which is lawful and right, he will live by it.
Pero ustedes dicen: "¡El camino del Señor no es justo!" ¡Yo los juzgaré a cada uno, de acuerdo a su camino, oh casa de Israel!'"
Y dijisteis: No es recta la vía del Señor. Yo os juzgaré, oh casa de Israel, á cada uno conforme á sus caminos.
Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is not fair.” House of Israel, I will judge every one of you after his ways.’”
Sucedió en el año duodécimo, en el quinto día del décimo mes de nuestra cautividad, que un fugitivo vino a mí desde Jerusalén y dijo: "¡La ciudad ha sido capturada!"
Y aconteció en el año duodécimo de nuestro cautiverio, en el mes décimo, á los cinco del mes, que vino á mí un escapado de Jerusalem, diciendo: La ciudad ha sido herida.
And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.
In the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, one who had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, “The city has been defeated!”
La mano del SEÑOR Dios había estado sobre mí en la tarde antes que el fujitivo viniese, y mi boca fue abierta cuando él vino a mí al amanecer. Así que mi boca estaba abierta; ¡Yo ya no estaba mudo!
Y la mano de Jehová había sido sobre mí la tarde antes que el escapado viniese, y había abierto mi boca, hasta que vino á mí por la mañana; y abrió mi boca, y no más estuve callado.
Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.
Now the LORD’s hand had been on me in the evening, before he who had escaped came; and he had opened my mouth until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no longer mute.
Entonces la palabra del SEÑOR Dios vino a mí, diciendo:
Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
"Hijo de hombre, aquellos que habitan esas ruinas en la tierra de Israel están hablando y dicen: '¡Abraham era sólo una persona, y él heredó la tierra, pero nosotros somos muchos! La tierra nos ha sido dada como posesión.'
Hijo del hombre, los que habitan aquellos desiertos en la tierra de Israel, hablando dicen: Abraham era uno, y poseyó la tierra: pues nosotros somos muchos; á nosotros es dada la tierra en posesión.
Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.
“Son of man, those who inhabit the waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, ‘Abraham was one, and he inherited the land; but we are many. The land is given us for inheritance.’
Por lo tanto diles: 'El SEÑOR Dios dice: Ustedes comen sangre y alzan sus ojos hacia sus ídolos, luego ustedes derraman la sangre de la gente. ¿Deberían ustedes poseer la tierra?
Por tanto, diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Con sangre comeréis, y á vuestros ídolos alzaréis vuestros ojos, y sangre derramaréis, y poseeréis vosotros la tierra?
Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?
Therefore tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood. So should you possess the land?
Ustedes han dependido de sus espadas y han hecho cosas asquerosas; cada hombre profana a la esposa de su vecino. ¿Deberían ustedes poseer la tierra?'
Estuvisteis sobre vuestras espadas, hicisteis abominación, y contaminasteis cada cual la mujer de su prójimo: ¿y habréis de poseer la tierra?
Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour’s wife: and shall ye possess the land?
You stand on your sword, you work abomination, and every one of you defiles his neighbor’s wife. So should you possess the land?”’
Tú dirás esto: 'El SEÑOR Dios dice: Mientras YO viva, les aseguro que aquellos en las ruinas caerán por la espada, y Yo le daré a aquellos que viven en los campos a las criaturas vivientes como comida, y a aquellos en las fortalezas y en las cuevas morirán de plagas.
Les dirás así: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Vivo yo, que los que están en aquellos asolamientos caerán á cuchillo, y al que está sobre la haz del campo entregaré á las bestias que lo devoren; y los que están en las fortalezas y en las cuevas, de pestilencia morirán.
Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
“You shall tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “As I live, surely those who are in the waste places will fall by the sword. I will give whoever is in the open field to the animals to be devoured, and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves will die of the pestilence.
Entonces Yo convertiré la tierra en una desolación y horror, y el orgullo de su fuerza acabará, puesto que las montañas de Israel estarán desiertas, y no habrá ni uno que pase a través de ellas.'
Y pondré la tierra en desierto y en soledad, y cesará la soberbia de su fortaleza; y los montes de Israel serán asolados, que no haya quien pase.
For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.
I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment. The pride of her power will cease. The mountains of Israel will be desolate, so that no one will pass through.
Así que ellos sabrán que Yo soy el SEÑOR Dios, cuando Yo convierta la tierra en desolación y horror por todas las abominaciones que ellos han hecho.
Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere la tierra en soledad y desierto, por todas las abominaciones que han hecho.
Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.
Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment because of all their abominations which they have committed.”’
Así que ahora tú, hijo de hombre, tu pueblo está diciendo cosas sobre ti al lado de las paredes y las puertas de las casas, y se dicen uno al otro, cada hombre a su hermano: '¡Vayamos y escuchemos la palabra del profeta que viene del SEÑOR Dios!'
Y tú, hijo del hombre, los hijos de tu pueblo se mofan de ti junto á las paredes y á las puertas de las casas, y habla el uno con el otro, cada uno con su hermano, diciendo: Venid ahora, y oid qué palabra sale de Jehová.
Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.
“As for you, son of man, the children of your people talk about you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak to one another, everyone to his brother, saying, ‘Please come and hear what the word is that comes out from the LORD.’
Así que mi pueblo vendrá a ti, como muchas veces hacen, y se sentarán frente a ti y escucharán tus palabras, pero ellos no las obedecerán. Palabras correctas están en sus bocas, pero sus corazones van tras ganancia injusta.
Y vendrán á ti como viene el pueblo, y se estarán delante de ti como mi pueblo, y oirán tus palabras, y no las pondrán por obra: antes hacen halagos con sus bocas, y el corazón de ellos anda en pos de su avaricia.
And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
They come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don’t do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.
Puesto que tú eres como una canción de amor para ellos, un lindo sonido que está siendo tocado bien en un instrumento de cuerda, así que escucharán tus palabras, pero ninguno de ellos las obedecerán.
Y he aquí que tú eres á ellos como cantor de amores, gracioso de voz y que canta bien: y oirán tus palabras, mas no las pondrán por obra.
And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
Behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they don’t do them.
Así que cuando todo esto suceda, ¡Y esto sucederá! Entonces ellos sabrán que un profeta ha estado entre ellos."
Empero cuando ello viniere (he aquí viene) sabrán que hubo profeta entre ellos.
And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
“When this comes to pass—behold, it comes—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”
