6Wenn aber der Wächter den bewaffneten Feind kommen sieht und nicht in die Trompete stößt, so daß das Volk ungewarnt bleibt, und der bewaffnete Feind kommt und bringt einen von ihnen ums Leben, so wird der Betreffende zwar infolge seiner Sündenschuld weggerafft, aber für den Verlust seines Lebens werde ich den Wächter verantwortlich machen.«

6Pero si el atalaya viere venir la espada, y no tocare la corneta, y el pueblo no se apercibiere, y viniendo la espada, tomare de él alguno; él por causa de su pecado fué tomado, mas demandaré su sangre de mano del atalaya.

6But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
