Ezequiel 20

Ma rattenni la mano mia, e nol feci per amor del mio nome, affinchè profanato non fosse davanti alle nazioni, di mezzo alle quali, elle stesse veggenti, io li trassi.

Mas retraje mi mano, y en atención á mi nombre hice porque no se infamase á vista de las gentes, delante de cuyos ojos los saqué.

Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
