Ezequiel 18
Nova Versão de Acesso Livre
1Veio a mim, mais uma vez, a palavra de Yahweh, dizendo:
2"Que quereis dizer, vós que usais este provérbio em relação à terra de Israel: 'Os pais comeram uvas verdes e os dentes dos filhos ficaram ásperos'?
3Tão certo como eu vivo — esta é uma declaração de Yahweh Deus — não mais haverá ocasião alguma para usardes este provérbio em Israel.
4Eis que toda a vida pertence a Mim — tanto a vida do pai quanto a vida do filho, ambas pertencem a Mim! A alma que pecar, esta morrerá!
5O que pode ser dito de um homem que é reto e pratica a justiça e retidão —
6se ele não come nos montes, nem ergue os seus olhos aos ídolos da casa de Israel, e não contamina a mulher do seu próximo, muito menos se unir com uma mulher durante a menstruação, ele é um homem correto?
7Que dizer do homem que a ninguém oprime, que devolve ao devedor o que foi posto como penhor num empréstimo, não rouba, mas dá a sua comida ao faminto e cobre o nu com roupas?
8Que dizer do homem que não cobra juros altos pelo dinheiro emprestado e não ganha lucros exagerados com o que vende? Diz-se dele que este homem pratica a justiça e estabelece fidelidade entre as pessoas.
9Se tal homem anda em Meus estatutos e guarda os Meus decretos para agir fielmente, então, a promessa para este homem reto é: Ele certamente viverá! — assim declara Yahweh Deus.
10Porém, imagina que ele tenha um filho violento, que derrama sangue e pratica muitas dessas faltas aqui mencionadas,
11ainda que seu pai não o tenha feito, o filho come nos montes e profana a esposa do seu próximo.
12Este homem oprime o pobre e o necessitado, extorque, rouba, não devolve o penhor, levanta seus olhos aos ídolos e comete abominações,
13empresta dinheiro com juros elevadíssimos e ganha lucro exagerado com aquilo que vende. Será que este homem deveria viver? É certo que não! Ele, certamente, morrerá e o seu sangue estará nele porque fez todas estas coisas detestáveis. Será culpado por sua própria morte.
14Imagina que haja um homem que tenha um filho e o filho vê todos os pecados que o pai cometeu e, embora os veja, ele não os pratica.
15Este filho não come nos montes, não ergue seus olhos aos ídolos da casa de Israel e não profana a esposa do seu próximo.
16Este filho não oprime a ninguém, não pega penhor, nem toma coisas roubadas; pelo contrário, dá a sua comida ao faminto e cobre de roupas o nu.
17Não retira do pobre a sua mão, não cobra juros que seja muito elevado, nem ganha muito lucro por um empréstimo, mas guarda os Meus decretos e anda de acordo com os Meus estatutos; este filho não morrerá pelo pecado do seu pai: certamente, viverá!
18Seu pai, uma vez que oprimiu aos outros por extorsão, roubou o seu irmão e fez o que não é reto entre o seu povo — eis que ele morrerá na sua iniquidade.
19Todavia, vós dizeis: 'Por que o filho não carrega a iniquidade do seu pai?'. Porque o filho pratica a justiça e a retidão e guarda todos os Meus estatutos; ele os põe em prática. Ele, certamente, viverá!
20Aquele que pecar é o que morrerá. Um filho não carregará a iniquidade do seu pai e o pai não carregará a iniquidade do seu filho. A retidão de quem age retamente, nele mesmo, estará; e a corrupção do mau estará nele mesmo.
21Mas, se o corrupto se desviar de todos os pecados que praticou, guardar todos os Meus estatutos e praticar a justiça e a retidão, ele, certamente, viverá e não morrerá.
22Todas as transgressões que ele cometeu não serão lembradas contra ele. Ele viverá pela retidão que pratica.
23Acaso, Eu Me regozijo na morte do corrupto — assim declara Yahweh Deus — e não em que ele se arrependa do seu mau caminho para que possa viver?
24Mas, se um homem justo se desviar da sua retidão, cometer iniquidade e praticar abominações, como todas as abominações que um corrupto comete, será que ele viverá? Toda a retidão que ele tiver praticado não será lembrada quando ele Me trair em sua transgressão. Portanto, morrerá nos pecados que ele cometeu.
25Mas vós dizeis: 'O caminho de Yahweh não é justo!'. Ouvi, casa de Israel! Será que os Meus caminhos são injustos? Não serão os vossos caminhos que são injustos?
26Quando o homem justo desviar-se da sua retidão e cometer iniquidade e morrer por causa dela, então, ele morrerá na iniquidade que ele tiver praticado.
27Mas, se um homem perverso se desviar da injustiça que tiver praticado e praticar justiça e retidão, então, preservará a sua vida.
28Porque ele viu e se desviou de todas as transgressões que fez. Ele, certamente, viverá e não morrerá.
29Mas a casa de Israel diz: 'O caminho de Yahweh não é justo!'. Por que o Meu caminho não é justo, casa de Israel? São os vossos caminhos que não são justos.
30Portanto, julgarei a cada um dentre vós de acordo com os seus caminhos, casa de Israel — assim declara Yahweh Deus. Arrependei-vos e vos desviai de todas as vossas transgressões, para que elas não sejam pedras de tropeço contra vós.
31Tirai de vós todas as transgressões que cometestes; e tende um novo coração e um novo espírito. Por que devíeis morrer, casa de Israel?
32Porque não tenho prazer na morte de ninguém — assim declara Yahweh Deus — então, arrependei-vos e vivei!".

1Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2¿Qué pensáis vosotros, vosotros que usáis este refrán sobre la tierra de Israel, diciendo: Los padres comieron el agraz, y los dientes de los hijos tienen la dentera?
3Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que nunca más tendréis por qué usar este refrán en Israel.
4He aquí que todas las almas son mías; como el alma del padre, así el alma del hijo es mía; el alma que pecare, esa morirá.
5Y el hombre que fuere justo, é hiciere juicio y justicia;
6Que no comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos á los ídolos de la casa de Israel, ni violare la mujer de su prójimo, ni llegare á la mujer menstruosa,
7Ni oprimiere á ninguno; al deudor tornare su prenda, no cometiere robo, diere de su pan al hambriento, y cubriere al desnudo con vestido,
8No diere á logro, ni recibiere aumento; de la maldad retrajere su mano, é hiciere juicio de verdad entre hombre y hombre,
9En mis ordenanzas caminare, y guardare mis derechos para hacer verdad, éste es justo: éste vivirá, dice el Señor Jehová.
10Mas si engendrare hijo ladrón, derramador de sangre, ó que haga alguna cosa de éstas,
11Y que no haga las otras; antes comiere sobre los montes, ó violare la mujer de su prójimo,
12Al pobre y menesteroso oprimiere, cometiere robos, no tornare la prenda, ó alzare sus ojos á los ídolos, é hiciere abominación,
13Diere á usura, y recibiere aumento: ¿vivirá éste? No vivirá. Todas estas abominaciones hizo; de cierto morirá; su sangre será sobre él.
14Pero si éste engendrare hijo, el cual viere todos los pecados que su padre hizo, y viéndolos no hiciere según ellos:
15No comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos á los ídolos de la casa de Israel; la mujer de su prójimo no violare,
16Ni oprimiere á nadie; la prenda no empeñare, ni cometiere robos; al hambriento diere de su pan, y cubriere de vestido al desnudo;
17Apartare su mano del pobre, usura ni aumento no recibiere; hiciere mis derechos, y anduviere en mis ordenanzas, éste no morirá por la maldad de su padre; de cierto vivirá.
18Su padre, por cuanto hizo agravio, despojó violentamente al hermano, é hizo en medio de su pueblo lo que no es bueno, he aquí que él morirá por su maldad.
19Y si dijereis: ¿Por qué el hijo no llevará por el pecado de su padre? Porque el hijo hizo juicio y justicia, guardó todas mis ordenanzas, y las hizo, de cierto vivirá.
20El alma que pecare, esa morirá: el hijo no llevará por el pecado del padre, ni el padre llevará por el pecado del hijo: la justicia del justo será sobre él, y la impiedad del impío será sobre él.
21Mas el impío, si se apartare de todos sus pecados que hizo, y guardare todas mis ordenanzas, é hiciere juicio y justicia, de cierto vivirá; no morirá.
22Todas sus rebeliones que cometió, no le serán recordadas: en su justicia que hizo vivirá.
23¿Quiero yo la muerte del impío? dice el Señor Jehová. ¿No vivirá, si se apartare de sus caminos?
24Mas si el justo se apartare de su justicia, y cometiere maldad, é hiciere conforme á todas las abominaciones que el impío hizo, ¿vivirá él? Todas las justicias que hizo no vendrán en memoria; por su rebelión con que prevaricó, y por su pecado que cometió, por ello morirá.
25Y si dijereis: No es derecho el camino del Señor: oid ahora, casa de Israel: ¿No es derecho mi camino? ¿no son vuestros caminos torcidos?
26Apartándose el justo de su justicia, y haciendo iniquidad, él morirá por ello: por su iniquidad que hizo, morirá.
27Y apartándose el impío de su impiedad que hizo, y haciendo juicio y justicia, hará vivir su alma.
28Porque miró, y apartóse de todas sus prevaricaciones que hizo, de cierto vivirá, no morirá.
29Si aun dijere la casa de Israel: No es derecho el camino del Señor: ¿No son derechos mis caminos, casa de Israel? Cierto, vuestros caminos no son derechos.
30Por tanto, yo os juzgaré á cada uno según sus caminos, oh casa de Israel, dice el Señor Jehová. Convertíos, y volveos de todas vuestras iniquidades; y no os será la iniquidad causa de ruina.
31Echad de vosotros todas vuestras iniquidades con que habéis prevaricado, y haceos corazón nuevo y espíritu nuevo. ¿Y por qué moriréis, casa de Israel?
32Que no quiero la muerte del que muere, dice el Señor Jehová; convertíos pues, y viviréis.

1The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
2What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?
3As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
4Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
5But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,
6And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,
7And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;
8He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,
9Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.
10If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,
11And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour’s wife,
12Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,
13Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
14Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father’s sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,
15That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour’s wife,
16Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,
17That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
18As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.
19Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
20The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
25Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
26When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
27Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
28Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
29Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
30Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
31Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
32For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

1The LORD’s word came to me again, saying,

15who hasn’t eaten on the mountains, hasn’t lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hasn’t defiled his neighbor’s wife,
16hasn’t wronged any, hasn’t taken anything to pledge, hasn’t taken by robbery, but has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;
17who has withdrawn his hand from the poor, who hasn’t received interest or increase, has executed my ordinances, has walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father. He shall surely live.
18As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, robbed his brother, and did that which is not good among his people, behold, he will die in his iniquity.
19“Yet you say, ‘Why doesn’t the son bear the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he will surely live.
20The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.
21“But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. He shall not die.
22None of his transgressions that he has committed will be remembered against him. In his righteousness that he has done, he shall live.
23Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord GOD, “and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?
24“But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, should he live? None of his righteous deeds that he has done will be remembered. In his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them he shall die.
25“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not equal.’ Hear now, house of Israel: Is my way not equal? Aren’t your ways unequal?
26When the righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in it, then he dies in his iniquity that he has done.
27Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he will save his soul alive.
28Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live. He shall not die.
29Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ House of Israel, aren’t my ways fair? Aren’t your ways unfair?
30“Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways,” says the Lord GOD. “Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin.
31Cast away from you all your transgressions in which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit. For why will you die, house of Israel?
32For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord GOD. “Therefore turn yourselves, and live!
