Ezequiel 17

La palabra del SEÑOR vino a mí, diciendo,

Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

The LORD’s word came to me, saying,

"Hijo de hombre, presenta un acertijo y habla una parábola a la casa de Israel.

Hijo del hombre, propón una figura, y compón una parábola á la casa de Israel.

Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel;

“Son of man, tell a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel;

Di: 'El SEÑOR Dios dice esto: un águila grande con alas grandes y largos piñones, lleno de plumas, y que era multicolor fue al Líbano y agarró el tope de un árbol de cedro.

Y dirás: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Una grande águila, de grandes alas y de largos miembros, llena de plumas de diversos colores, vino al Líbano, y tomó el cogollo del cedro:

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:

and say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “A great eagle with great wings and long feathers, full of feathers which had various colors, came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

Él le partió las puntas de las ramas y las llevó a la tierra de Canaán; él la plantó en una ciudad de mercaderes.

Arrancó el principal de sus renuevos, y llevólo á la tierra de mercaderes, y púsolo en la ciudad de los negociantes.

He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants.

Él también tomó alguna semilla de la tierra y la sembró en tierra fértil. Él la puso junto a un gran cuerpo de agua como un sauce.

Tomó también de la simiente de la tierra, y púsola en un campo bueno para sembrar, plantóla junto á grandes aguas, púsola como un sauce.

He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.

“‘“He also took some of the seed of the land and planted it in fruitful soil. He placed it beside many waters. He set it as a willow tree.

Entonces retoñó y se convirtió en una vid que se extendía bajo en el suelo. Sus ramas se giraron hacia él, y sus raíces crecieron debajo de él. Así que se convirtió en una vid y produjo ramas y retoñó.

Y brotó, é hízose una vid de mucha rama, baja de estatura, que sus ramas la miraban, y sus raíces estaban debajo de ella: así que se hizo una vid, y arrojó sarmientos, y echó mugrones.

And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.

Pero había otra gran águila con grandes alas y mucho plumaje. Esta vid giró sus raíces hacia el águila, y extendió sus ramas hacia el águila desde el lugar en donde había sido plantada para que fuera regada con agua.

Y fué otra grande águila, de grandes alas y de muchas plumas; y he aquí que esta vid juntó cerca de ella sus raíces, y extendió hacia ella sus ramos, para ser regada por ella por los surcos de su plantío.

There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.

“‘“There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers. Behold, this vine bent its roots toward him, and shot out its branches toward him, from the ground where it was planted, that he might water it.

Ella había sido plantada en buena tierra al lado de un gran cuerpo de agua para que produjera ramas y brotara fruto, para convertirse en una vid magnífica.'

En un buen campo, junto á muchas aguas fué plantada, para que hiciese ramos y llevase fruto, y para que fuese vid robusta.

It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.

Di al pueblo: 'El SEÑOR Dios dice esto: ¿Prosperará? ¿No será desarraigado y despojado de su fruto para que se marchite, y todo su crecimiento fresco se marchitará? Ningún brazo fuerte ni mucha gente será necesario para arrancarlo por sus raíces.

Di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Será prosperada? ¿No arrancará sus raíces, y destruirá su fruto, y secaráse? Todas las hojas de su lozanía secará, y no con gran brazo, ni con mucha gente, arrancándola de sus raíces.

Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.

“Say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Will it prosper? Won’t he pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, that it may wither, that all its fresh springing leaves may wither? It can’t be raised from its roots by a strong arm or many people.

Por tanto, después de que haya sido plantado, ¿crecerá? ¿No se marchitará cuando el viento del este lo toqué? Se marchitará completamente en su parcela."'

Y he aquí que plantada está ella, ¿será prosperada? ¿No se secará del todo cuando el viento solano la tocare? En los surcos de su verdor se secará.

Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.

Entonces la palabra del SEÑOR vino a mí, diciendo:

Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,

"Habla a la casa rebelde: '¿No saben ustedes lo que significan estas cosas? ¡Mirad! El rey de Babilonia vino a Jerusalén y se llevó a su rey y sus príncipes y los trajo con él a Babilonia.

Di ahora á la casa rebelde: ¿No habéis entendido qué significan estas cosas? Diles: He aquí que el rey de Babilonia vino á Jerusalem, y tomó tu rey y sus príncipes, y llevólos consigo á Babilonia.

Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;

“Say now to the rebellious house, ‘Don’t you know what these things mean?’ Tell them, ‘Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took its king, and its princes, and brought them to him to Babylon.

Entonces él tomó un descendiente real, hizo un pacto con él, y lo puso bajo juramento. Él se llevó la gente poderosa de la tierra,

Tomó también de la simiente del reino, é hizo con él alianza, y trájole á juramento; y tomó los fuertes de la tierra,

And hath taken of the king’s seed, and made a covenant with him, and hath taken an oath of him: he hath also taken the mighty of the land:

He took one of the royal offspring, and made a covenant with him. He also brought him under an oath, and took away the mighty of the land,

de modo que el reinado se humillara y no se levantara. Al mantener su pacto sobrevivirá.

Para que el reino fuese abatido y no se levantase, sino que guardase su alianza y estuviese en ella.

That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping of his covenant it might stand.

Pero el rey de Jerusalén se rebeló contra él enviando sus embajadores a Egipto para adquirir caballos y un ejército. ¿Tendrá éxito? ¿Escapará el que hace estas cosas? ¿Escapará si rompe el pacto?

Rebelóse empero contra él enviando sus embajadores á Egipto, para que le diese caballos y mucha gente. ¿Será prosperado, escapará, el que estas cosas hizo? ¿y el que rompió la alianza, podrá huir?

But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?

¡Vivo yo! Esta es la declaración del SEÑOR Dios, que de cierto morirá en la tierra del rey que lo hizo rey, el rey cuyo juramento él despreció, y cuyo pacto él rompió. Él morirá en medio de Babilonia.

Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que morirá en medio de Babilonia, en el lugar del rey que le hizo reinar, cuyo juramento menospreció, y cuya alianza con él hecha rompió.

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.

“‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the middle of Babylon he will die.

Faraón con su ejército poderoso, ni el reunir de muchos hombres para guerra, no lo protegerá a él en batalla, cuando el ejército babilónico construya cercos de montículos y cercos de muros para destruir muchas vidas.

Y no con grande ejército, ni con mucha compañía hará con él Faraón en la batalla, cuando funden baluarte y edifiquen bastiones para cortar muchas vidas.

Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:

Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company won’t help him in the war, when they cast up mounds and build forts to cut off many persons.

Pues el rey despreció su juramento al romper el pacto. Él estrechó su mano a ellos para hacer una promesa, sin embargo, él hizo todas estas cosas. Él no escapará.

Pues menospreció el juramento, para invalidar el concierto cuando he aquí que había dado su mano, é hizo todas estas cosas, no escapará.

Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape.

For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant; and behold, he had given his hand, and yet has done all these things. He won’t escape.

Por lo tanto el SEÑOR Dios dice esto: Vivo Yo, ¿no fue Mi juramento que él despreció y Mi pacto que él rompió? Así que, ¡Yo traeré su castigo sobre su cabeza!

Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Vivo yo, que el juramento mío que menospreció, y mi concierto que ha invalidado, tornaré sobre su cabeza.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.

“Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘As I live, I will surely bring on his own head my oath that he has despised and my covenant that he has broken.

Tenderé Mi red sobre él, y él será atrapado en Mi red de cazar. Entonces, ¡Yo lo traeré a Babilonia y ejecutaré juicio sobre él ahí por su traición que él cometió cuando Me traicionó!

Y extenderé sobre él mi red, y será preso en mi malla; y hacerlo he venir á Babilonia, y allí estaré á juicio con él, por su prevaricación con que contra mí se ha rebelado.

And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.

I will spread my net on him, and he will be taken in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon, and will enter into judgment with him there for his trespass that he has trespassed against me.

Todos sus refugiados en sus ejércitos caerán por la espada, y los que permanezcan serán dispersados en todas direcciones. Entonces ustedes sabrán que Yo soy el SEÑOR; Yo he declarado que esto sucedería."

Y todos sus fugitivos con todos sus escuadrones caerán á cuchillo, y los que quedaren serán esparcidos á todo viento; y sabréis que yo Jehová he hablado.

And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken it.

All his fugitives in all his bands will fall by the sword, and those who remain will be scattered toward every wind. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken it.’

El SEÑOR Dios dice esto: 'Así que Yo mismo me llevaré la parte más alta del árbol de cedro, y Yo lo plantaré lejos de sus tiernas ramas. Yo lo arrancaré, y Yo mismo lo plantaré en una montaña alta.

Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Y tomaré yo del cogollo de aquel alto cedro, y pondrélo; del principal de sus renuevos cortaré un tallo, y plantarlo he yo sobre el monte alto y sublime;

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:

“The Lord GOD says: ‘I will also take some of the lofty top of the cedar, and will plant it. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.

Yo lo plantaré en las montañas de Israel para que eche ramas y produzca fruto, y él se convertirá en un cedro majestuoso, de manera que toda ave con alas vivirá debajo de él. Ellas anidarán en la sombra de sus ramas.

En el monte alto de Israel lo plantaré, y alzará ramos, y llevará fruto, y haráse magnífico cedro; y habitarán debajo de él todas las aves, toda cosa que vuela habitará á la sombra de sus ramos.

In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

I will plant it in the mountain of the height of Israel; and it will produce boughs, and bear fruit, and be a good cedar. Birds of every kind will dwell in the shade of its branches.

Entonces todos los árboles del campo sabrán que Yo soy el SEÑOR. Yo derrumbo los árboles altos y levanto los árboles bajos. Yo marchito el árbol regado con agua y causo que el árbol seco florezca. Yo soy el SEÑOR, Yo he declarado que esto sucederá; y Yo lo haré.'"

Y sabrán todos los árboles del campo que yo Jehová abatí el árbol sublime, levanté el árbol bajo, hice secar el árbol verde, é hice reverdecer el árbol seco. Yo Jehová hablé é hice.

And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.

All the trees of the field will know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree flourish. “‘I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it.’”
