Então alguns dos anciãos de Israel vieram a mim e se assentaram diante de mim.
Y VINIERON á mí algunos de los ancianos de Israel, y sentáronse delante de mí.
Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.

A palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:

“Filho do homem, estes homens levaram seus ídolos para os seus corações, e colocaram o tropeço da sua iniquidade diante dos seus rostos. Acaso deveria eu ser consultado por eles?
Hijo del hombre, estos hombres han puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro: ¿acaso he de ser yo verdaderamente consultado por ellos?
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?

Portanto, fale com eles e diga-lhes: ‘Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Qualquer homem da casa de Israel que levar seus ídolos para o seu coração e colocar o tropeço da sua iniquidade diante do seu rosto, e então vier ao profeta, eu, o SENHOR, lhe responderei ali de acordo com a multidão de seus ídolos,
Háblales por tanto, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro, y viniere al profeta, yo Jehová responderé al que viniere en la multitud de sus ídolos;
Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him there according to the multitude of his idols,
para que eu possa capturar a casa de Israel em seu próprio coração, porque todos eles se afastaram de mim por causa de seus ídolos.”’
Para tomar á la casa de Israel en su corazón, que se han apartado de mí todos ellos en sus ídolos.
That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

“Portanto, diga à casa de Israel: ‘Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Voltem, e afastem-se dos seus ídolos! Desviem os seus rostos de todas as suas abominações.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
“Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.
“‘“Pois qualquer um da casa de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que vivem em Israel, que se separar de mim e levar seus ídolos para o seu coração, e colocar o tropeço da sua iniquidade diante do seu rosto, e vier ao profeta para me consultar em seu favor, eu, o SENHOR, lhe responderei por mim mesmo.
Porque cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel, y de los extranjeros que moran en Israel, que se hubiere apartado de andar en pos de mí, y hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido delante de su rostro el tropiezo de su maldad, y viniere al profeta para preguntarle por mí, yo Jehová le responderé por mí mismo:
For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:
“‘“For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me, I the LORD will answer him by myself.
Voltarei o meu rosto contra esse homem e farei dele um espanto, um sinal e um provérbio, e o eliminarei do meio do meu povo. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.
Y pondré mi rostro contra aquel hombre, y le pondré por señal y por fábula, y yo lo cortaré de entre mi pueblo; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

“‘“Se o profeta for enganado e falar alguma palavra, eu, o SENHOR, terei enganado esse profeta, e estenderei a minha mão contra ele, e o destruirei do meio do meu povo Israel.
Y el profeta, cuando fuere engañado y hablare palabra, yo Jehová engañé al tal profeta; y extenderé mi mano sobre él, y raeréle de en medio de mi pueblo de Israel.
And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
“‘“If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel.
Eles carregarão a sua iniquidade. A iniquidade do profeta será igual à iniquidade daquele que o consulta,
Y llevarán su maldad: como la maldad del que pregunta, así será la maldad del profeta;
And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;
They will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,
para que a casa de Israel não se desvie mais de mim, nem se contamine mais com todas as suas transgressões; mas para que eles sejam o meu povo, e eu seja o seu Deus,” diz o Senhor DEUS.’”
Para que no yerren más la casa de Israel de en pos de mí: ni más se contaminen en todas sus rebeliones, y me sean por pueblo, y yo les sea por Dios, dice el Señor Jehová.
That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.

A palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:

“Filho do homem, quando uma terra pecar contra mim, cometendo uma transgressão, e eu estender a minha mão contra ela, e quebrar o cajado do seu pão, e enviar fome sobre ela, e eliminar dela homens e animais—
Hijo del hombre, cuando la tierra pecare contra mí rebelándose pérfidamente, y extendiere yo mi mano sobre ella, y le quebrantare el arrimo del pan, y enviare en ella hambre, y talare de ella hombres y bestias;
Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
“Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal—
ainda que estes três homens, Noé, Daniel e Jó, estivessem nela, eles livrariam apenas as suas próprias almas pela sua justiça,” diz o Senhor DEUS.
Si estuvieren en medio de ella estos tres varones, Noé, Daniel, y Job, ellos por su justicia librarán su vida, dice el Señor Jehová.

Y si hiciere pasar malas bestias por la tierra, y la asolaren, y fuere desolada que no haya quien pase á causa de las bestias,
If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
“If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals—
ainda que estes três homens estivessem nela, tão certo como eu vivo,” diz o Senhor DEUS, “eles não livrariam nem filhos nem filhas. Apenas eles seriam livrados, mas a terra ficaria desolada.
Y estos tres varones estuvieren en medio de ella, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, ni á sus hijos ni á sus hijas librarán; ellos solos serán libres, y la tierra será asolada.

Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

ainda que estes três homens estivessem nela, tão certo como eu vivo,” diz o Senhor DEUS, “eles não livrariam nem filhos nem filhas, mas apenas eles mesmos seriam livrados.
Y estos tres varones estuvieren en medio de ella, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, no librarán sus hijos ni sus hijas; ellos solos serán libres.

Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:

ainda que Noé, Daniel e Jó estivessem nela, tão certo como eu vivo,” diz o Senhor DEUS, “eles não livrariam nem filho nem filha; eles livrariam apenas as suas próprias almas pela sua justiça.”
Y estuvieren en medio de ella Noé, Daniel, y Job, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, no librarán hijo ni hija; ellos por su justicia librarán su vida.

Pois assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Quanto mais quando eu enviar os meus quatro severos juízos sobre Jerusalém—a espada, a fome, os animais ferozes e a peste—para eliminar dela homens e animais!
Por lo cual así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Cuánto más, si mis cuatro malos juicios, espada, y hambre, y mala bestia, y pestilencia, enviare contra Jerusalem, para talar de ella hombres y bestias?
For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
For the Lord GOD says: “How much more when I send my four severe judgments on Jerusalem—the sword, the famine, the evil animals, and the pestilence—to cut off from it man and animal!
Contudo, eis que restará nela um remanescente que será levado para fora, tanto filhos como filhas. Eis que eles sairão até vocês, e vocês verão os seus caminhos e as suas ações. Então vocês serão consolados a respeito do mal que eu trouxe sobre Jerusalém, sim, a respeito de tudo o que eu trouxe sobre ela.
Sin embargo, he aquí quedarán en ella algunos residuos, hijos é hijas, que serán llevados fuera: he aquí que ellos entrarán á vosotros, y veréis su camino y sus hechos; y tomaréis consolación del mal que hice venir sobre Jerusalem, de todas las cosas que traje sobre ella.
Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

Eles os consolarão, quando vocês virem os seus caminhos e as suas ações; então vocês saberão que não foi sem motivo que fiz tudo o que fiz nela,” diz o Senhor DEUS.
Y consolaros han cuando viereis su camino y sus hechos, y conoceréis que no sin causa hice todo lo que habré hecho en ella, dice el Señor Jehová.
And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.
