Ezequiel 13

1Me habló de nuevo el Señor, y me dijo:
2Hijo de hombre, vaticina contra los profetas falsos de Israel, que se entremeten a profetizar; y a estos que profetizan por su capricho, les dirás: Escuchad lo que dice el Señor:
3Así habla el Señor Dios: ¡Ay de los profetas insensatos, que siguen su propio espíritu y no ven nada!
4Tus profetas, ¡oh Israel!, son como zorras en los despoblados.
5Vosotros no habéis hecho frente, ni os habéis opuesto como muro a favor de la casa de Israel, para sostener la pelea en el día del Señor.
6Vanas son las visiones que ellos tienen, y embustes sus adivinaciones, cuando dicen: El Señor ha dicho; siendo así que no son enviados del Señor, y persisten en asegurar aquello que han anunciado.
7¿Acaso dejan de ser vanas vuestras visiones, y mentirosas las adivinaciones que habéis propalado? Vosotros decís: Así ha hablado el Señor; cuando yo nada os he hablado.
8Por tanto, esto dice el Señor Dios: Porque habéis publicado cosas vanas, y por ser mentirosas vuestras visiones, por eso vedme aquí contra vosotros, dice el Señor Dios.
9Y mi mano descargará sobre los profetas forjadores de visiones vanas y de mentirosas adivinaciones: no serán ya admitidos en la reunión de mi pueblo, ni escritos en el censo de la familia de Israel, en cuya tierra no volverán a entrar; y conoceréis que yo soy el Señor Dios.
10Porque han engañado ellos a mi pueblo diciéndole ¡Paz!, siendo así que no hay tal paz; mi pueblo construía una muralla, y ellos la recubrían con argamasa suelta sin mezcla de paja.
11Diles, pues, a esos que revocaban con mal mortero, que la muralla caerá; porque vendrán aguaceros e inundaciones, y arrojaré del cielo enormes piedras, y enviaré un viento tempestuoso que todo lo destruirá.
12Y cuando la muralla haya caído, acaso no se os dirá por mofa: ¿Dónde está la encostradura que vosotros hicisteis?
13Por tanto esto dice el Señor Dios: En medio de mi indignación haré estallar de repente un viento tempestuoso, y lleno de furor enviaré aguaceros, que todo lo inundarán, y airado arrojaré enormes piedras que todo lo arrasarán;
14y arruinaré el muro que encontrasteis con barro sin mezcla, y lo igualaré con el suelo, y se descubrirán sus cimientos, y caerá; y perecerán con él aquellos falsos profetas, y conoceréis que yo soy el Señor.
15Y desfogaré mi indignación en la muralla, y en aquellos que la encostraron sin mezcla, y os diré a vosotros: La muralla ya no existe; ni existen aquellos que la encostraron,
16es a saber, los profetas de Israel, que profetizaban sobre Jerusalén y veían para ella visiones lisonjeras o de paz, siendo así que no hay tal paz, dice el Señor Dios.
17Tú, ¡oh hijo de hombre!, reprende con rostro firme a las hijas de tu pueblo que profetizan por su propio capricho, y vaticina acerca de ellas,
18¡Ay de aquellos que ponen almohadillas bajo de todos los codos, y hacen cabezales para poner debajo de las cabezas de los de toda edad, a fin de hacer presa de las almas del pueblo mío, y mientras cazaban las almas de mi pueblo, decían que las vivificaban!
19Y me deshonraban delante de mi pueblo por un puñado de cebada y por un pedazo de pan, matando las almas que no son muertas, y dando por vivas las que no viven, vendiendo mentiras a mi pueblo, el cual da crédito a ellas.
20Por tanto, así habla el Señor Dios: Vedme aquí contra vuestras almohadillas o lisonjas, con las cuales cazáis las almas como las aves; y yo las destruiré en vuestras mismas manos, y haré volar libremente las almas que vosotros cazáis.
21Yo romperé vuestros cabezales, y libraré de vuestro poder a los del pueblo mío, y no dejaré que sean presa de vuestras manos; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.
22Porque vosotras con vuestras mentiras habéis entristecido el corazón del justo, al cual no había yo entristecido; y habéis fortalecido los brazos del impío, para que no se convirtiese de su mal proceder, y viviese:
23Por tanto, no tendréis ya en adelante esas falsas visiones vuestras, ni esparciréis vuestras adivinaciones, y yo libraré de vuestras manos al pueblo mío; y conoceréis que yo soy el Señor.

1Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2Hijo del hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan, y di á los que profetizan de su corazón: Oid palabra de Jehová.
3Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de los profetas insensatos, que andan en pos de su propio espíritu, y nada vieron!
4Como zorras en los desiertos fueron tus profetas, oh Israel.
5No habéis subido á los portillos, ni echasteis vallado en la casa de Israel, estando en la batalla en el día de Jehová.
6Vieron vanidad y adivinación de mentira. Dicen: Ha dicho Jehová; y Jehová no los envió: y hacen esperar que se confirme la palabra.
7¿No habéis visto visión vana, y no habéis dicho adivinación de mentira, por cuanto decís, Dijo Jehová; no habiendo yo hablado?
8Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto vosotros habéis hablado vanidad, y habéis visto mentira, por tanto, he aquí yo contra vosotros, dice el Señor Jehová.
9Y será mi mano contra los profetas que ven vanidad, y adivinan mentira: no serán en la congregación de mi pueblo, ni serán escritos en el libro de la casa de Israel, ni á la tierra de Israel volverán; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.
10Por tanto, y por cuanto engañaron á mi pueblo, diciendo, Paz, no habiendo paz; y el uno edificaba la pared, y he aquí que los otros la encostraban con lodo suelto;
11Di á los encostradores con lodo suelto, que caerá; vendrá lluvia inundante, y daré piedras de granizo que la hagan caer, y viento tempestuoso la romperá.
12Y he aquí, cuando la pared habrá caído, no os dirán: ¿Dónde está la embarradura con que encostrasteis?
13Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Y haré que la rompa viento tempestuoso con mi ira, y lluvia inundante vendrá con mi furor, y piedras de granizo con enojo para consumir.
14Así desbarataré la pared que vosotros encostrasteis con lodo suelto, y echaréla á tierra, y será descubierto su cimiento, y caerá, y seréis consumidos en medio de ella; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
15Cumpliré así mi furor en la pared y en los que la encostraron con lodo suelto; y os diré: No existe la pared, ni aquellos que la encostraron,
16Los profetas de Israel que profetizan á Jerusalem, y ven para ella visión de paz, no habiendo paz, dice el Señor Jehová.
17Y tú, hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro á las hijas de tu pueblo que profetizan de su corazón, y profetiza contra ellas,
18Y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de aquellas que cosen almohadillas á todos codos de manos, y hacen veletes sobre la cabeza de toda edad para cazar las almas! ¿Habéis de cazar las almas de mi pueblo, para mantener así vuestra propia vida?
19¿Y habéis de profanarme entre mi pueblo por puñados de cebada y por pedazos de pan, matando las almas que no mueren, y dando vida á las almas que no vivirán, mintiendo á mi pueblo que escucha la mentira?
20Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí yo contra vuestras almohadillas, con que cazáis ahí las almas volando; yo las arrancaré de vuestros brazos, y dejaré las almas, las almas que cazáis volando.
21Romperé asimismo vuestros veletes, y libraré mi pueblo de vuestra mano, y no estarán más en vuestra mano para caza; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
22Por cuanto entristecisteis con mentira el corazón del justo, al cual yo no entristecí, y esforzasteis las manos del impío, para que no se apartase de su mal camino, infundiéndole ánimo;
23Por tanto no veréis vanidad, ni más adivinaréis adivinación; y libraré mi pueblo de vuestra mano; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;
3Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
5Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
6They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
7Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
8Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
9And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
10Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
11Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
13Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
14So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
15Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
16To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.
17Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
18And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
19And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
20Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
21Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
22Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
23Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

1The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2“Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘Hear the LORD’s word:
3The Lord GOD says, “Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4Israel, your prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.
5You have not gone up into the gaps or built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in the LORD’s day.
6They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, ‘The LORD says;’ but the LORD has not sent them. They have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.
7Haven’t you seen a false vision, and haven’t you spoken a lying divination, in that you say, ‘The LORD says;’ but I have not spoken?”
8“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,” says the Lord GOD.
9“My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who utter lying divinations. They will not be in the council of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither will they enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.”
10“‘Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.
11Tell those who plaster it with whitewash that it will fall. There will be an overflowing shower; and you, great hailstones, will fall. A stormy wind will tear it.
12Behold, when the wall has fallen, won’t it be said to you, “Where is the plaster with which you have plastered it?”
13“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “I will even tear it with a stormy wind in my wrath. There will be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.
14So I will break down the wall that you have plastered with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be uncovered. It will fall, and you will be consumed in the middle of it. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
15Thus I will accomplish my wrath on the wall, and on those who have plastered it with whitewash. I will tell you, ‘The wall is no more, nor those who plastered it—
16to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says the Lord GOD.’”
17You, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them,
18and say, “The Lord GOD says: ‘Woe to the women who sew magic bands on all elbows and make veils for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people and save souls alive for yourselves?
19You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill the souls who should not die and to save the souls alive who should not live, by your lying to my people who listen to lies.’
20“Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I am against your magic bands, with which you hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms. I will let the souls fly free, even the souls whom you ensnare like birds.
21I will also tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand; and they will no longer be in your hand to be ensnared. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
22Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive.
23Therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”
