Ezequiel 13

Dafür, und zwar dafür, daß sie mein Volk so täuschen, sie sagen: 'Gut steht es', da es übel steht, - so daß er eine lockre Wand sich baut, die sie in kümmerlicher Weise übertünchen,

Por tanto, y por cuanto engañaron á mi pueblo, diciendo, Paz, no habiendo paz; y el uno edificaba la pared, y he aquí que los otros la encostraban con lodo suelto;

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

“‘Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.
