1Als ich nun hinschaute, sah ich auf dem Himmelsgewölbe, das sich über dem Haupt der Cherube befand, etwas, das wie Saphirstein aussah: etwas wie ein Thron Gestaltetes wurde über ihnen sichtbar.
2Da gab er dem in Linnen gekleideten Manne den Befehl: »Tritt in den Raum zwischen dem Räderwerk unten am Cherubwagen hinein, fülle deine Hände mit glühenden Kohlen aus dem Raum zwischen den Cheruben und streue sie über die Stadt hin!« Da ging er vor meinen Augen hinein.
3Der Cherubwagen stand aber an der Südseite des Tempelhauses, als der Mann hineinging, während die Wolke den inneren Vorhof erfüllte.
4Da erhob sich die Herrlichkeit des HERRN von dem Cherubwagen nach der Schwelle des Tempels hin, so daß der Tempel mit der Wolke erfüllt wurde und der Vorhof voll vom Lichtglanz der Herrlichkeit des HERRN war;
5und das Rauschen der Flügel der Cherube war bis in den äußeren Vorhof vernehmbar gleich der Stimme Gottes, des Allmächtigen, wenn er redete.
6Als er nun dem in Linnen gekleideten Manne den Befehl erteilt hatte, Feuer aus dem Raum zwischen dem Räderwerk, aus dem Raum zwischen den Cheruben, zu nehmen, und dieser hineingegangen und neben das eine Rad getreten war,
7da streckte einer der Cherube seine Hand aus dem zwischen den Cheruben befindlichen Raum hervor nach dem Feuer hin, das sich in dem Raum zwischen den Cheruben befand, und hob einen Teil davon ab und gab es dem in Linnen gekleideten Manne in die Hände; der nahm es und ging weg.
8[Es wurde aber an den Cheruben etwas, das wie eine Menschenhand gebildet war, unter ihren Flügeln sichtbar.
9Als ich nämlich hinschaute, sah ich vier Räder, die neben den Cheruben waren, immer ein Rad neben jedem Cherub; die Räder aber waren wie glänzender Chrysolithstein anzusehen.
10Was aber ihr Aussehen betrifft, so hatten die vier alle dieselbe Gestalt, wie wenn ein Rad innerhalb des andern wäre.
11Wenn sie sich in Bewegung setzten, konnten sie nach allen vier Seiten hin gehen: sie brauchten sich nicht zu wenden, wenn sie gingen; sie gingen vielmehr immer nach der Richtung, die der Vordere einschlug, hinter ihm her, ohne eine Wendung zu machen, wenn sie gingen.
12Der ganze Leib der Cherube aber, auch ihr Rücken, ihre Arme und Flügel und ebenso auch die Räder, waren bei allen vieren ringsum voll von Augen.
13Was aber die Räder betrifft, so führten sie, wie ich mit eigenen Ohren hörte, den Namen ›Wirbelwind‹.
14Ein jeder von den Cheruben hatte vier Gesichter: das eine Gesicht war ein Stiergesicht, das zweite ein Menschengesicht, das dritte ein Löwengesicht und das vierte ein Adlergesicht.]
15Und die Cherube erhoben sich [es waren dies dieselben lebenden Wesen, die ich schon am Flusse Kebar gesehen hatte.
16Wenn nämlich die Cherube sich in Bewegung setzten, so fingen auch die Räder neben ihnen an zu laufen; und wenn die Cherube ihre Flügel erhoben, um vom Erdboden emporzusteigen, so entfernten sich die Räder nicht von ihrer Seite:
17wenn jene stehenblieben, so standen auch sie still, und wenn jene sich erhoben, so erhoben auch sie sich mit ihnen; denn der Geist der lebenden Wesen war in ihnen]. –
18Darauf verließ die Herrlichkeit des HERRN die Schwelle des Tempelhauses und nahm ihren Stand wieder über den Cheruben.
19Da schwangen die Cherube ihre Flügel und stiegen vor meinen Augen vom Erdboden empor, indem sie sich hinwegbegaben, und die Räder zugleich mit ihnen. Aber am Eingang des östlichen Tores des Tempels des HERRN machten sie wieder halt, während die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels sich oben über ihnen befand.
20Es waren dies dieselben lebenden Wesen, die ich unterhalb des Gottes Israels schon am Flusse Kebar gesehen hatte; und ich erkannte, daß es Cherube waren.
21Ein jeder hatte vier Gesichter und jeder vier Flügel; und etwas, das wie eine Menschenhand gebildet war, befand sich unter ihren Flügeln.
22Was aber die äußere Erscheinung ihrer Gesichter betrifft, so waren es dieselben Gesichter, die ich schon am Flusse Kebar gesehen hatte; sie gingen ein jeder geradeaus vor sich hin.

1Y MIRÉ, y he aquí en la expansión que había sobre la cabeza de los querubines como una piedra de zafiro, que parecía como semejanza de un trono que se mostró sobre ellos.
2Y habló al varón vestido de lienzos, y díjole: Entra en medio de las ruedas debajo de los querubines, é hinche tus manos de carbones encendidos de entre los querubines, y derrama sobre la ciudad. Y entró á vista mía.
3Y los querubines estaban á la mano derecha de la casa cuando este varón entró; y la nube henchía el atrio de adentro.
4Y la gloria de Jehová se levantó del querubín al umbral de la puerta; y la casa fué llena de la nube, y el atrio se llenó del resplandor de la gloria de Jehová.
5Y el estruendo de las alas de los querubines se oía hasta el atrio de afuera, como la voz del Dios Omnipotente cuando habla.
6Y aconteció que, como mandó al varón vestido de lienzos, diciendo: Toma fuego de entre las ruedas, de entre los querubines, él entró, y paróse entre las ruedas.
7Y un querubín extendió su mano de entre los querubines al fuego que estaba entre los querubines, y tomó, y puso en las palmas del que estaba vestido de lienzos, el cual lo tomó y salióse.
8Y apareció en los querubines la figura de una mano humana debajo de sus alas.
9Y miré, y he aquí cuatro ruedas junto á los querubines, junto á cada querubín una rueda; y el aspecto de las ruedas era como el de piedra de Tarsis.
10Cuanto al parecer de ellas, las cuatro eran de una forma, como si estuviera una en medio de otra.
11Cuando andaban, sobre sus cuatro costados andaban: no se tornaban cuando andaban, sino que al lugar adonde se volvía el primero, en pos de él iban; ni se tornaban cuando andaban.
12Y toda su carne, y sus costillas, y sus manos, y sus alas, y las ruedas, lleno estaba de ojos alrededor en sus cuatro ruedas.
13A las ruedas, oyéndolo yo, se les gritaba: ¡Rueda!
14Y cada uno tenía cuatro rostros. El primer rostro era de querubín; el segundo rostro, de hombre; el tercer rostro, de león; el cuarto rostro, de águila.
15Y levantáronse los querubines; este es el animal que vi en el río de Chebar.
16Y cuando andaban los querubines, andaban las ruedas junto con ellos; y cuando los querubines alzaban sus alas para levantarse de la tierra, las ruedas también no se volvían de junto á ellos.
17Cuando se paraban ellos, parábanse ellas, y cuando ellos se alzaban, alzábanse con ellos: porque el espíritu de los animales estaba en ellas.
18Y la gloria de Jehová se salió de sobre el umbral de la casa, y paró sobre los querubines.
19Y alzando los querubines sus alas, levantáronse de la tierra delante de mis ojos: cuando ellos salieron, también las ruedas al lado de ellos: y paráronse á la entrada de la puerta oriental de la casa de Jehová, y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba arriba sobre ellos.
20Este era el animal que vi debajo del Dios de Israel en el río de Chebar; y conocí que eran querubines.
21Cada uno tenía cuatro rostros, y cada uno cuatro alas, y figuras de manos humanas debajo de sus alas.
22Y la figura de sus rostros era la de los rostros que vi junto al río de Chebar, su mismo parecer y su ser; cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro.

1Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
2And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
3Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
4Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory.
5And the sound of the cherubims’ wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
6And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.
7And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
8And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man’s hand under their wings.
9And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
10And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
11When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.
12And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
13As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.
14And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
16And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
17When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
18Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
19And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’s house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
20This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.
21Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
22And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.

1Then I looked, and see, in the expanse that was over the head of the cherubim there appeared above them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
2He spoke to the man clothed in linen, and said, “Go in between the whirling wheels, even under the cherub, and fill both your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” He went in as I watched.
3Now the cherubim stood on the right side of the house when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
4The LORD’s glory mounted up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory.
5The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.
6It came to pass, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim,” that he went in and stood beside a wheel.
7The cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took some of it, and put it into the hands of him who was clothed in linen, who took it and went out.
8The form of a man’s hand appeared here in the cherubim under their wings.
9I looked, and behold, there were four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside one cherub, and another wheel beside another cherub. The appearance of the wheels was like a beryl stone.
10As for their appearance, the four of them had one likeness, like a wheel within a wheel.
11When they went, they went in their four directions. They didn’t turn as they went, but to the place where the head looked they followed it. They didn’t turn as they went.
12Their whole body, including their backs, their hands, their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes all around, even the wheels that the four of them had.
13As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, “the whirling wheels”.
14Every one of them had four faces. The first face was the face of the cherub. The second face was the face of a man. The third face was the face of a lion. The fourth was the face of an eagle.
15The cherubim mounted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar.
16When the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels also didn’t turn from beside them.
17When they stood, these stood. When they mounted up, these mounted up with them; for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
18The LORD’s glory went out from over the threshold of the house and stood over the cherubim.
19The cherubim lifted up their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight when they went out, with the wheels beside them. Then they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’s house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
20This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim.
21Every one had four faces, and every one four wings. The likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
22As for the likeness of their faces, they were the faces which I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves. They each went straight forward.
