1Der HERR sprach zu Mose: Gehe hinein zu Pharao und sprich zu ihm: Also sagt der HERR, der Gott der Hebräer: Laß mein Volk, daß sie mir dienen.
2Wo du dich des weigerst und sie weiter aufhältst,
3siehe, so wird die Hand des HERRN sein über dein Vieh auf dem Felde, über Pferde, über Esel, über Kamele, über Ochsen, über Schafe, mit einer sehr schweren Pestilenz.
4Und der HERR wird ein Besonderes tun zwischen dem Vieh der Israeliten und der Ägypter, daß nichts sterbe aus allem, was die Kinder Israel haben.
5Und der HERR bestimmte eine Zeit und sprach: Morgen wird der HERR solches auf Erden tun.
6Und der HERR tat solches des Morgens, und es starb allerlei Vieh der Ägypter; aber des Viehs der Kinder Israel starb nicht eins.
7Und Pharao sandte darnach, und siehe, es war des Viehs Israels nicht eins gestorben. Aber das Herz Pharaos ward verstockt, und er ließ das Volk nicht.
8Da sprach der HERR zu Mose und Aaron: Nehmet eure Fäuste voll Ruß aus dem Ofen, und Mose sprenge ihn gen Himmel vor Pharao,
9daß es über ganz Ägyptenland stäube und böse schwarze Blattern auffahren an den Menschen und am Vieh in ganz Ägyptenland.
10Und sie nahmen Ruß aus dem Ofen und traten vor Pharao, und Mose sprengte ihn gen Himmel. Da fuhren auf böse schwarze Blattern an den Menschen und am Vieh,
11also daß die Zauberer nicht konnten vor Mose stehen vor den bösen Blattern; denn es waren an den Zauberern ebensowohl böse Blattern als an allen Ägyptern.
12Aber der HERR verstockte das Herz Pharaos, daß er sie nicht hörte, wie denn der HERR gesagt hatte.
13Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Mache dich morgen früh auf und tritt vor Pharao und sprich zu ihm: So sagt der HERR, der Hebräer Gott: Laß mein Volk, daß mir's diene;
14ich will sonst diesmal alle meine Plagen über dich selbst senden, über deine Knechte und über dein Volk, daß du innewerden sollst, daß meinesgleichen nicht ist in allen Landen.
15Denn ich hätte schon jetzt meine Hand ausgereckt und dich und dein Volk mit Pestilenz geschlagen, daß du von der Erde vertilgt würdest.
16Aber darum habe ich dich erhalten, daß meine Kraft an dir erscheine und mein Name verkündigt werde in allen Landen.
17Du trittst mein Volk noch unter dich und willst's nicht lassen.
18Siehe, ich will morgen um diese Zeit einen sehr großen Hagel regnen lassen, desgleichen in Ägypten nicht gewesen ist, seitdem es gegründet ist, bis her.
19Und nun sende hin und verwahre dein Vieh, und alles, was du auf dem Felde hast. Denn alle Menschen und das Vieh, das auf dem Felde gefunden wird und nicht in die Häuser versammelt ist, so der Hagel auf sie fällt, werden sterben.
20Wer nun unter den Knechten Pharaos des HERRN Wort fürchtete, der ließ seine Knechte und sein Vieh in die Häuser fliehen.
21Welcher Herz aber sich nicht kehrte an des HERRN Wort, die ließen ihre Knechte und ihr Vieh auf dem Felde.
22Da sprach der Herr zu Mose: Recke deine Hand aus gen Himmel, daß es hagle über ganz Ägyptenland, über Menschen, über Vieh und über alles Kraut auf dem Felde in Ägyptenland.
23Also reckte Mose seinen Stab gen Himmel, und der HERR ließ donnern und hageln, daß das Feuer auf die Erde schoß. Also ließ der HERR Hagel regnen über Ägyptenland,
24daß Hagel und Feuer untereinander fuhren, so grausam, daß desgleichen in ganz Ägyptenland nie gewesen war, seitdem Leute darin gewesen sind.
25Und der Hagel schlug in ganz Ägyptenland alles, was auf dem Felde war, Menschen und Vieh, und schlug alles Kraut auf dem Felde und zerbrach alle Bäume auf dem Felde.
26Allein im Lande Gosen, da die Kinder Israel wohnten, da hagelte es nicht.
27Da schickte Pharao hin und ließ Mose und Aaron rufen und sprach zu ihnen: Ich habe dasmal mich versündigt; der HERR ist gerecht, ich aber und mein Volk sind Gottlose.
28Bittet aber den Herrn, daß er aufhöre solch Donnern und Hageln Gottes, so will ich euch lassen, daß ihr nicht länger hier bleibet.
29Mose sprach: Wenn ich zur Stadt hinauskomme, so will ich meine Hände ausbreiten gegen den HERRN; so wird der Donner aufhören und kein Hagel mehr sein, daß du innewerdest, daß die Erde des HERRN sei.
30Ich weiß aber, daß du und deine Knechte euch noch nicht fürchtet vor Gott dem HERRN.
31Also ward geschlagen der Flachs und die Gerste; denn die Gerste hatte geschoßt und der Flachs Knoten gewonnen.
32Aber der Weizen und Spelt ward nicht geschlagen, denn es war Spätgetreide.
33So ging nun Mose von Pharao zur Stadt hinaus und breitete seine Hände gegen den HERRN, und der Donner und Hagel hörten auf, und der Regen troff nicht mehr auf die Erde.
34Da aber Pharao sah, daß der Regen und Donner und Hagel aufhörte, versündigte er sich weiter und verhärtete sein Herz, er und seine Knechte.
35Also ward des Pharao Herz verstockt, daß er die Kinder Israel nicht ließ, wie denn der HERR geredet hatte durch Mose.

1ENTONCES Jehová dijo á Moisés: Entra á Faraón, y dile: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, dice así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirvan;
2Porque si no lo quieres dejar ir, y los detuvieres aún,
3He aquí la mano de Jehová será sobre tus ganados que están en el campo, caballos, asnos, camellos, vacas y ovejas, con pestilencia gravísima:
4Y Jehová hará separación entre los ganados de Israel y los de Egipto, de modo que nada muera de todo lo de los hijos de Israel.
5Y Jehová señaló tiempo, diciendo: Mañana hará Jehová esta cosa en la tierra.
6Y el día siguiente Jehová hizo aquello, y murió todo el ganado de Egipto; mas del ganado de los hijos de Israel no murió uno.
7Entonces Faraón envió, y he aquí que del ganado de los hijos de Israel no había muerto uno. Mas el corazón de Faraón se agravó, y no dejó ir al pueblo.
8Y Jehová dijo á Moisés y á Aarón: Tomad puñados de ceniza de un horno, y espárzala Moisés hacia el cielo delante de Faraón:
9Y vendrá á ser polvo sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, el cual originará sarpullido que cause tumores apostemados en los hombres y en las bestias, por todo el país de Egipto.
10Y tomaron la ceniza del horno, y pusiéronse delante de Faraón, y esparcióla Moisés hacia el cielo; y vino un sarpullido que causaba tumores apostemados así en los hombres como en las bestias.
11Y los magos no podían estar delante de Moisés á causa de los tumores, porque hubo sarpullido en los magos y en todos los Egipcios.
12Y Jehová endureció el corazón de Faraón, y no los oyó; como Jehová lo había dicho á Moisés.
13Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: Levántate de mañana, y ponte delante de Faraón, y dile: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, dice así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirva.
14Porque yo enviaré esta vez todas mis plagas á tu corazón, sobre tus siervos, y sobre tu pueblo, para que entiendas que no hay otro como yo en toda la tierra.
15Porque ahora yo extenderé mi mano para herirte á ti y á tu pueblo de pestilencia, y serás quitado de la tierra.
16Y á la verdad yo te he puesto para declarar en ti mi potencia, y que mi Nombre sea contado en toda la tierra.
17¿Todavía te ensalzas tú contra mi pueblo, para no dejarlos ir?
18He aquí que mañana á estas horas yo haré llover granizo muy grave, cual nunca fué en Egipto, desde el día que se fundó hasta ahora.
19Envía, pues, á recoger tu ganado, y todo lo que tienes en el campo; porque todo hombre ó animal que se hallare en el campo, y no fuere recogido á casa, el granizo descenderá sobre él, y morirá.
20De los siervos de Faraón el que temió la palabra de Jehová, hizo huir sus criados y su ganado á casa:
21Mas el que no puso en su corazón la palabra de Jehová, dejó sus criados y sus ganados en el campo.
22Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo, para que venga granizo en toda la tierra de Egipto sobre los hombres, y sobre las bestias, y sobre toda la hierba del campo en el país de Egipto.
23Y Moisés extendió su vara hacia el cielo, y Jehová hizo tronar y granizar, y el fuego discurría por la tierra; y llovió Jehová granizo sobre la tierra de Egipto.
24Hubo pues granizo, y fuego mezclado con el granizo, tan grande, cual nunca hubo en toda la tierra de Egipto desde que fué habitada.
25Y aquel granizo hirió en toda la tierra de Egipto todo lo que estaba en el campo, así hombres como bestias; asimismo hirió el granizo toda la hierba del campo, y desgajó todos los árboles del país.
26Solamente en la tierra de Gosén, donde los hijos de Israel estaban, no hubo granizo.
27Entonces Faraón envió á llamar á Moisés y á Aarón, y les dijo: He pecado esta vez: Jehová es justo, y yo y mi pueblo impíos.
28Orad á Jehová: y cesen los truenos de Dios y el granizo; y yo os dejaré ir, y no os detendréis más.
29Y respondióle Moisés: En saliendo yo de la ciudad extenderé mis manos á Jehová, y los truenos cesarán, y no habrá más granizo; para que sepas que de Jehová es la tierra.
30Mas yo sé que ni tú ni tus siervos temeréis todavía la presencia del Dios Jehová.
31El lino, pues, y la cebada fueron heridos; porque la cebada estaba ya espigada, y el lino en caña.
32Mas el trigo y el centeno no fueron heridos; porque eran tardíos.
33Y salido Moisés de con Faraón de la ciudad, extendió sus manos á Jehová, y cesaron los truenos y el granizo; y la lluvia no cayó más sobre la tierra.
34Y viendo Faraón que la lluvia había cesado y el granizo y los truenos, perseveró en pecar, y agravó su corazón, él y sus siervos.
35Y el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no dejó ir á los hijos de Israel; como Jehová lo había dicho por medio de Moisés.

1Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
4And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel.
5And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
6And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
7And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
8And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
11And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
12And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
13And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
15For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
16And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
24So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
29And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD’s.
30But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
31And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
32But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
33And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
World English Bible
1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,
3behold, the LORD’s hand is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.
4The LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’”
5The LORD appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.”
6The LORD did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.
7Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go.
8The LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.
9It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.”
10They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal.
11The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.
12The LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as the LORD had spoken to Moses.
13The LORD said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.
15For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;
16but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth,
17because you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.
18Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
19Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. The hail will come down on every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, and they will die.”’”
20Those who feared the LORD’s word among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.
21Whoever didn’t respect the LORD’s word left his servants and his livestock in the field.
22The LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”
23Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and the LORD sent thunder and hail; and lightning flashed down to the earth. The LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt.
24So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
27Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. The LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28Pray to the LORD; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”
29Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD. The thunders shall cease, and there will not be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.
30But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear the LORD God.”
31The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley had ripened and the flax was blooming.
32But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up.
33Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to the LORD; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.
34When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35The heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go, just as the LORD had spoken through Moses.
