1L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Va vers Pharaon, et tu lui diras: Ainsi parle l’Éternel, le Dieu des Hébreux: Laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu’il me serve.
2Si tu refuses de le laisser aller, et si tu le retiens encore,
3voici, la main de l’Éternel sera sur tes troupeaux qui sont dans les champs, sur les chevaux, sur les ânes, sur les chameaux, sur les bœufs et sur les brebis; il y aura une mortalité très grande.
4L’Éternel distinguera entre les troupeaux d’Israël et les troupeaux des Égyptiens, et il ne périra rien de tout ce qui est aux enfants d’Israël.
5L’Éternel fixa le temps, et dit: Demain, l’Éternel fera cela dans le pays.
6Et l’Éternel fit ainsi, dès le lendemain. Tous les troupeaux des Égyptiens périrent, et il ne périt pas une bête des troupeaux des enfants d’Israël.
7Pharaon s’informa de ce qui était arrivé; et voici, pas une bête des troupeaux d’Israël n’avait péri. Mais le cœur de Pharaon s’endurcit, et il ne laissa point aller le peuple.
8L’Éternel dit à Moïse et à Aaron: Remplissez vos mains de cendre de fournaise, et que Moïse la jette vers le ciel, sous les yeux de Pharaon.
9Elle deviendra une poussière qui couvrira tout le pays d’Égypte; et elle produira, dans tout le pays d’Égypte, sur les hommes et sur les animaux, des ulcères formés par une éruption de pustules.
10Ils prirent de la cendre de fournaise, et se présentèrent devant Pharaon; Moïse la jeta vers le ciel, et elle produisit sur les hommes et sur les animaux des ulcères formés par une éruption de pustules.
11Les magiciens ne purent paraître devant Moïse, à cause des ulcères; car les ulcères étaient sur les magiciens, comme sur tous les Égyptiens.
12L’Éternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon, et Pharaon n’écouta point Moïse et Aaron, selon ce que l’Éternel avait dit à Moïse.
13L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Lève-toi de bon matin, et présente-toi devant Pharaon. Tu lui diras: Ainsi parle l’Éternel, le Dieu des Hébreux: Laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu’il me serve.
14Car, cette fois, je vais envoyer toutes mes plaies contre ton cœur, contre tes serviteurs et contre ton peuple, afin que tu saches que nul n’est semblable à moi sur toute la terre.
15Si j’avais étendu ma main, et que je t’eusse frappé par la mortalité, toi et ton peuple, tu aurais disparu de la terre.
16Mais, je t’ai laissé subsister, afin que tu voies ma puissance, et que l’on publie mon nom par toute la terre.
17Si tu t’élèves encore contre mon peuple, et si tu ne le laisses point aller,
18voici, je ferai pleuvoir demain, à cette heure, une grêle tellement forte, qu’il n’y en a point eu de semblable en Égypte depuis le jour où elle a été fondée jusqu’à présent.
19Fais donc mettre en sûreté tes troupeaux et tout ce qui est à toi dans les champs. La grêle tombera sur tous les hommes et sur tous les animaux qui se trouveront dans les champs et qui n’auront pas été recueillis dans les maisons, et ils périront.
20Ceux des serviteurs de Pharaon qui craignirent la parole de l’Éternel firent retirer dans les maisons leurs serviteurs et leurs troupeaux.
21Mais ceux qui ne prirent point à cœur la parole de l’Éternel laissèrent leurs serviteurs et leurs troupeaux dans les champs.
22L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Étends ta main vers le ciel; et qu’il tombe de la grêle dans tout le pays d’Égypte sur les hommes, sur les animaux, et sur toutes les herbes des champs, dans le pays d’Égypte.
23Moïse étendit sa verge vers le ciel; et l’Éternel envoya des tonnerres et de la grêle, et le feu se promenait sur la terre. L’Éternel fit pleuvoir de la grêle sur le pays d’Égypte.
24Il tomba de la grêle, et le feu se mêlait avec la grêle; elle était tellement forte qu’il n’y en avait point eu de semblable dans tout le pays d’Égypte depuis qu’il existe comme nation.
25La grêle frappa, dans tout le pays d’Égypte, tout ce qui était dans les champs, depuis les hommes jusqu’aux animaux; la grêle frappa aussi toutes les herbes des champs, et brisa tous les arbres des champs.
26Ce fut seulement dans le pays de Gosen, où étaient les enfants d’Israël, qu’il n’y eut point de grêle.
27Pharaon fit appeler Moïse et Aaron, et leur dit: Cette fois, j’ai péché; c’est l’Éternel qui est le juste, et moi et mon peuple nous sommes les coupables.
28Priez l’Éternel, pour qu’il n’y ait plus de tonnerres et de grêle; et je vous laisserai aller, et l’on ne vous retiendra plus.
29Moïse lui dit: Quand je sortirai de la ville, je lèverai mes mains vers l’Éternel, les tonnerres cesseront et il n’y aura plus de grêle, afin que tu saches que la terre est à l’Éternel.
30Mais je sais que toi et tes serviteurs, vous ne craindrez pas encore l’Éternel Dieu.
31Le lin et l’orge avaient été frappés, parce que l’orge était en épis et que c’était la floraison du lin;
32le froment et l’épeautre n’avaient point été frappés, parce qu’ils sont tardifs.
33Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon, pour aller hors de la ville; il leva ses mains vers l’Éternel, les tonnerres et la grêle cessèrent, et la pluie ne tomba plus sur la terre.
34Pharaon, voyant que la pluie, la grêle et les tonnerres avaient cessé, continua de pécher, et il endurcit son cœur, lui et ses serviteurs.
35Le cœur de Pharaon s’endurcit, et il ne laissa point aller les enfants d’Israël, selon ce que l’Éternel avait dit par l’intermédiaire de Moïse.

1ENTONCES Jehová dijo á Moisés: Entra á Faraón, y dile: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, dice así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirvan;
2Porque si no lo quieres dejar ir, y los detuvieres aún,
3He aquí la mano de Jehová será sobre tus ganados que están en el campo, caballos, asnos, camellos, vacas y ovejas, con pestilencia gravísima:
4Y Jehová hará separación entre los ganados de Israel y los de Egipto, de modo que nada muera de todo lo de los hijos de Israel.
5Y Jehová señaló tiempo, diciendo: Mañana hará Jehová esta cosa en la tierra.
6Y el día siguiente Jehová hizo aquello, y murió todo el ganado de Egipto; mas del ganado de los hijos de Israel no murió uno.
7Entonces Faraón envió, y he aquí que del ganado de los hijos de Israel no había muerto uno. Mas el corazón de Faraón se agravó, y no dejó ir al pueblo.
8Y Jehová dijo á Moisés y á Aarón: Tomad puñados de ceniza de un horno, y espárzala Moisés hacia el cielo delante de Faraón:
9Y vendrá á ser polvo sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, el cual originará sarpullido que cause tumores apostemados en los hombres y en las bestias, por todo el país de Egipto.
10Y tomaron la ceniza del horno, y pusiéronse delante de Faraón, y esparcióla Moisés hacia el cielo; y vino un sarpullido que causaba tumores apostemados así en los hombres como en las bestias.
11Y los magos no podían estar delante de Moisés á causa de los tumores, porque hubo sarpullido en los magos y en todos los Egipcios.
12Y Jehová endureció el corazón de Faraón, y no los oyó; como Jehová lo había dicho á Moisés.
13Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: Levántate de mañana, y ponte delante de Faraón, y dile: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, dice así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirva.
14Porque yo enviaré esta vez todas mis plagas á tu corazón, sobre tus siervos, y sobre tu pueblo, para que entiendas que no hay otro como yo en toda la tierra.
15Porque ahora yo extenderé mi mano para herirte á ti y á tu pueblo de pestilencia, y serás quitado de la tierra.
16Y á la verdad yo te he puesto para declarar en ti mi potencia, y que mi Nombre sea contado en toda la tierra.
17¿Todavía te ensalzas tú contra mi pueblo, para no dejarlos ir?
18He aquí que mañana á estas horas yo haré llover granizo muy grave, cual nunca fué en Egipto, desde el día que se fundó hasta ahora.
19Envía, pues, á recoger tu ganado, y todo lo que tienes en el campo; porque todo hombre ó animal que se hallare en el campo, y no fuere recogido á casa, el granizo descenderá sobre él, y morirá.
20De los siervos de Faraón el que temió la palabra de Jehová, hizo huir sus criados y su ganado á casa:
21Mas el que no puso en su corazón la palabra de Jehová, dejó sus criados y sus ganados en el campo.
22Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo, para que venga granizo en toda la tierra de Egipto sobre los hombres, y sobre las bestias, y sobre toda la hierba del campo en el país de Egipto.
23Y Moisés extendió su vara hacia el cielo, y Jehová hizo tronar y granizar, y el fuego discurría por la tierra; y llovió Jehová granizo sobre la tierra de Egipto.
24Hubo pues granizo, y fuego mezclado con el granizo, tan grande, cual nunca hubo en toda la tierra de Egipto desde que fué habitada.
25Y aquel granizo hirió en toda la tierra de Egipto todo lo que estaba en el campo, así hombres como bestias; asimismo hirió el granizo toda la hierba del campo, y desgajó todos los árboles del país.
26Solamente en la tierra de Gosén, donde los hijos de Israel estaban, no hubo granizo.
27Entonces Faraón envió á llamar á Moisés y á Aarón, y les dijo: He pecado esta vez: Jehová es justo, y yo y mi pueblo impíos.
28Orad á Jehová: y cesen los truenos de Dios y el granizo; y yo os dejaré ir, y no os detendréis más.
29Y respondióle Moisés: En saliendo yo de la ciudad extenderé mis manos á Jehová, y los truenos cesarán, y no habrá más granizo; para que sepas que de Jehová es la tierra.
30Mas yo sé que ni tú ni tus siervos temeréis todavía la presencia del Dios Jehová.
31El lino, pues, y la cebada fueron heridos; porque la cebada estaba ya espigada, y el lino en caña.
32Mas el trigo y el centeno no fueron heridos; porque eran tardíos.
33Y salido Moisés de con Faraón de la ciudad, extendió sus manos á Jehová, y cesaron los truenos y el granizo; y la lluvia no cayó más sobre la tierra.
34Y viendo Faraón que la lluvia había cesado y el granizo y los truenos, perseveró en pecar, y agravó su corazón, él y sus siervos.
35Y el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no dejó ir á los hijos de Israel; como Jehová lo había dicho por medio de Moisés.

1Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
4And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel.
5And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
6And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
7And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
8And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
11And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
12And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
13And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
15For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
16And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
24So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
29And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD’s.
30But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
31And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
32But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
33And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,
3behold, the LORD’s hand is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.
4The LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’”
5The LORD appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.”
6The LORD did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.
7Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go.
8The LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.
9It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.”
10They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal.
11The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.
12The LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as the LORD had spoken to Moses.
13The LORD said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.
15For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;
16but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth,
17because you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.
18Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
19Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. The hail will come down on every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, and they will die.”’”
20Those who feared the LORD’s word among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.
21Whoever didn’t respect the LORD’s word left his servants and his livestock in the field.
22The LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”
23Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and the LORD sent thunder and hail; and lightning flashed down to the earth. The LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt.
24So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
27Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. The LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28Pray to the LORD; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”
29Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD. The thunders shall cease, and there will not be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.
30But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear the LORD God.”
31The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley had ripened and the flax was blooming.
