El Señor le dijo a Moisés: «Preséntate nuevamente ante el faraón y dile que yo, el Señor, le ordeno que deje que mi pueblo vaya y me adore.
ENTONCES Jehová dijo á Moisés: Entra á Faraón, y dile: Jehová ha dicho así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirvan.

Que si se niega, enviaré una plaga de ranas a toda la tierra, de un rincón a otro del país.
Y si no lo quisieres dejar ir, he aquí yo heriré con ranas todos tus términos:

El río Nilo se llenará de ranas que entrarán aun a sus cuartos y estarán sobre sus camas. Cada casa de Egipto se llenará de ranas, de modo que hasta se meterán en los hornos y en donde amasan la harina para el pan. ¡Tantas serán las ranas que hasta se treparán sobre sus hombros, y sobre sus funcionarios y sobre toda la gente!».
Y el río criará ranas, las cuales subirán, y entrarán en tu casa, y en la cámara de tu cama, y sobre tu cama, y en las casas de tus siervos, y en tu pueblo, y en tus hornos, y en tus artesas:
And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
The river will swarm with frogs, which will go up and come into your house, and into your bedroom, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs.

―Muy bien —le dijo Moisés—. Solamente dime cuándo quieres que ore al Señor por ti, por tus funcionarios y por todo el pueblo. Al hacerlo, las ranas se irán de sus casas, y sólo estarán en el río.
Y dijo Moisés á Faraón: Gloríate sobre mí: ¿cuándo oraré por ti, y por tus siervos, y por tu pueblo, para que las ranas sean quitadas de ti, y de tus casas, y que solamente se queden en el río?
And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
Moses said to Pharaoh, “I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only.”
―Mañana mismo —respondió el faraón. ―De acuerdo —dijo Moisés—. Será como has dicho. Así sabrás que no hay nadie como el Señor nuestro Dios.
Y él dijo: Mañana. Y Moisés respondió: Se hará conforme á tu palabra, para que conozcas que no hay como Jehová nuestro Dios:
And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.
Pharaoh said, “Tomorrow.” Moses said, “Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.
Te aseguro que las ranas ya no serán una molestia, pues saldrán de tu casa, de las casas de tus oficiales y de las de todo el pueblo, y sólo quedarán las que están en el río.

Moisés y Aarón salieron de la presencia del faraón, y Moisés rogó al Señor que quitara las ranas que había enviado.
Entonces salieron Moisés y Aarón de con Faraón, y clamó Moisés á Jehová sobre el negocio de las ranas que había puesto á Faraón.
And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.

Y el Señor hizo lo que Moisés le pidió. Entonces murieron todas las ranas que estaban en las casas, en las granjas y en el campo.

El Señor le dijo a Moisés: «Dile a Aarón que golpee el polvo con su vara, para que todo el país se llene de mosquitos».
Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: Di á Aarón: Extiende tu vara, y hiere el polvo de la tierra, para que se vuelva piojos por todo el país de Egipto.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

Moisés y Aarón hicieron lo que Dios les mandó. Tan pronto Aarón tocó el suelo con su vara, los mosquitos salieron de la tierra y picaban a hombres y animales. ¡Todo el polvo que había en Egipto se convirtió en mosquitos!
Y ellos lo hicieron así; y Aarón extendió su mano con su vara, é hirió el polvo de la tierra, el cual se volvió piojos, así en los hombres como en las bestias: todo el polvo de la tierra se volvió piojos en todo el país de Egipto.
And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

Los magos trataron de hacer lo mismo con sus artes secretas, pero esta vez fracasaron. Los mosquitos seguían picando a hombres y animales.
Y los encantadores hicieron así también, para sacar piojos con sus encantamientos; mas no pudieron. Y había piojos así en los hombres como en las bestias.
And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.

«¡No hay la menor duda de que esto es obra de Dios!», exclamaron ante el faraón. Pero el faraón persistió en su terquedad, y no quiso oírlos, tal como el Señor lo había advertido.
Entonces los magos dijeron á Faraón: Dedo de Dios es este. Mas el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no los escuchó; como Jehová lo había dicho.

Luego el Señor le dijo a Moisés: «Levántate temprano, y sal al encuentro del faraón, cuando vaya a bañarse al río, y dile que yo, el Señor, le ordeno que deje que mi pueblo vaya y me adore.
Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Levántate de mañana y ponte delante de Faraón, he aquí él sale á las aguas; y dile: Jehová ha dicho así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirva.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Que si se niega, enviaré plagas de tábanos por todo Egipto, de modo que todas las casas se llenarán de ellos. ¡Hasta el piso se cubrirá de tábanos!

Pero que en la tierra de Gosén, donde viven los israelitas, no habrá tábanos. Que de este modo sabrá que yo soy el Señor, Dios de toda la tierra.

Y el Señor hizo lo que había dicho, de modo que hubo una terrible plaga de tábanos en el palacio del faraón y en la casa de cada egipcio.
Y Jehová lo hizo así: que vino toda suerte de moscas molestísimas sobre la casa de Faraón, y sobre las casas de sus siervos, y sobre todo el país de Egipto; y la tierra fué corrompida á causa de ellas.

El faraón inmediatamente llamó a Moisés y a Aarón y les dijo: ―Está bien, vayan y ofrézcanle sacrificios a su Dios, pero háganlo aquí en Egipto. No vayan al desierto.
Entonces Faraón llamó á Moisés y á Aarón, y díjoles: Andad, sacrificad á vuestro Dios en la tierra.

Pero Moisés replicó: ―¡Imposible! Los sacrificios al Señor nuestro Dios no son aprobados por los egipcios, y si lo hacemos aquí, delante de sus ojos, nos apedrearán.
Y Moisés respondió: No conviene que hagamos así, porque sacrificaríamos á Jehová nuestro Dios la abominación de los Egipcios. He aquí, si sacrificáramos la abominación de los Egipcios delante de ellos, ¿no nos apedrearían?
And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?
Moses said, “It isn’t appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God. Behold, if we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, won’t they stone us?
Tenemos que ir al desierto, a tres días de camino, a ofrecer allí nuestros sacrificios al Señor nuestro Dios, tal como él nos lo ha ordenado.
Camino de tres días iremos por el desierto, y sacrificaremos á Jehová nuestro Dios, como él nos dirá.

―Está bien, vayan —respondió el faraón—, pero no se vayan demasiado lejos. Ahora, dense prisa y oren por mí.
Y dijo Faraón: Yo os dejaré ir para que sacrifiquéis á Jehová vuestro Dios en el desierto, con tal que no vayáis más lejos: orad por mí.

―Sí —dijo Moisés—, le pediré al Señor que haga desaparecer los tábanos, pero te advierto que no debes engañarnos más prometiendo que el pueblo saldrá y cambiando luego de parecer.
Y respondió Moisés: He aquí, en saliendo yo de contigo, rogaré á Jehová que las diversas suertes de moscas se vayan de Faraón, y de sus siervos, y de su pueblo mañana; con tal que Faraón no falte más, no dejando ir al pueblo á sacrificar á Jehová.
And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.
Moses said, “Behold, I am going out from you. I will pray to the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only don’t let Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.”
Moisés salió de la presencia del faraón y le pidió a Dios que librara al país de los tábanos.
Entonces Moisés salió de con Faraón, y oró á Jehová.
And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

El Señor hizo lo que Moisés le pidió, de modo que los tábanos desaparecieron por completo de la casa del faraón, y de las casas de sus funcionarios y del pueblo en general. Pero el faraón endureció su corazón nuevamente y no permitió que el pueblo fuera a adorar al Señor.
Y Jehová hizo conforme á la palabra de Moisés; y quitó todas aquellas moscas de Faraón, y de sus siervos, y de su pueblo, sin que quedara una.
