Y Después de esto, Moisés y Aarón fueron a Faraón, y le dijeron: Él Señor Dios de Israel dice: Deja ir a mi pueblo para que hagan un banquete en mi honor en el desierto.
DESPUÉS entraron Moisés y Aarón á Faraón, y le dijeron: Jehová, el Dios de Israel, dice así: Deja ir á mi pueblo á celebrarme fiesta en el desierto.
And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”
Y Faraón dijo: ¿Quién es el Señor, a cuya voz he de prestar oído, y dejar ir a Israel? No conozco al Señor y no dejaré ir a Israel.
Y Faraón respondió: ¿Quién es Jehová, para que yo oiga su voz y deje ir á Israel? Yo no conozco á Jehová, ni tampoco dejaré ir á Israel.
And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should listen to his voice to let Israel go? I don’t know the LORD, and moreover I will not let Israel go.”
Y ellos dijeron: El Dios de los hebreos ha venido a nosotros; vayamos entonces a un viaje de tres días a la tierra baldía para hacer una ofrenda al Señor nuestro Dios, para que no nos envíe la muerte por peste o por la espada.
Y ellos dijeron: El Dios de los Hebreos nos ha encontrado: iremos, pues, ahora camino de tres días por el desierto, y sacrificaremos á Jehová nuestro Dios; porque no venga sobre nosotros con pestilencia ó con espada.
And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
They said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD, our God, lest he fall on us with pestilence, or with the sword.”
Y el rey de Egipto les dijo: ¿Por qué, Moisés y Aarón, distraen al pueblo de su trabajo? vuelvan a su trabajo!
Entonces el rey de Egipto les dijo: Moisés y Aarón, ¿por qué hacéis cesar al pueblo de su obra? idos á vuestros cargos.
And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
The king of Egypt said to them, “Why do you, Moses and Aaron, take the people from their work? Get back to your burdens!”
Y Faraón dijo: En verdad, la gente de la tierra está aumentando en número, y tú los estás reteniendo de su trabajo.
Dijo también Faraón: He aquí el pueblo de la tierra es ahora mucho, y vosotros les hacéis cesar de sus cargos.
And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
Pharaoh said, “Behold, the people of the land are now many, and you make them rest from their burdens.”
El mismo día Faraón dio órdenes a los supervisores y a los que eran responsables del trabajo, diciendo:
Y mandó Faraón aquel mismo día á los cuadrilleros del pueblo que le tenían á su cargo, y á sus gobernadores, diciendo:
And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
The same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying,
No le den a estos hombres mas paja para su fabricación de ladrillos como lo han estado haciendo; déjalos ir a recoger la paja por sí mismos.
De aquí adelante no daréis paja al pueblo para hacer ladrillo, como ayer y antes de ayer; vayan ellos y recojan por sí mismos la paja:
Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
“You shall no longer give the people straw to make brick, as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves.
Pero demanda que hagan la misma cantidad de ladrillos que antes, y nada menos: porque son unos holgazanes; por eso ellos claman y dicen, vayamos y hagamos una ofrenda a nuestro Dios.
Y habéis de ponerles la tarea del ladrillo que hacían antes, y no les disminuiréis nada; porque están ociosos, y por eso levantan la voz diciendo: Vamos y sacrificaremos á nuestro Dios.
And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
You shall require from them the number of the bricks which they made before. You shall not diminish anything of it, for they are idle. Therefore they cry, saying, ‘Let’s go and sacrifice to our God.’
Dales trabajo más duro a los hombres, mantenlos ocupados; que no presten atención a las palabras falsas.
Agrávese la servidumbre sobre ellos, para que se ocupen en ella, y no atiendan á palabras de mentira.
Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.
Let heavier work be laid on the men, that they may labor in it. Don’t let them pay any attention to lying words.”
Y los príncipes del pueblo y sus hombres responsables salieron y dijeron al pueblo: Faraón dice: No te daré más paja.
Y saliendo los cuadrilleros del pueblo y sus gobernadores, hablaron al pueblo, diciendo: Así ha dicho Faraón: Yo no os doy paja.
And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.
The taskmasters of the people went out with their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, “This is what Pharaoh says: ‘I will not give you straw.
Vayan y recojan más paja de donde sea posible; pero no se les rebajará la cantidad de trabajo.
Id vosotros, y recoged paja donde la hallareis; que nada se disminuirá de vuestra tarea.
Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
Go yourselves, get straw where you can find it, for nothing of your work shall be diminished.’”
Entonces la gente fue enviada en todas direcciones por la tierra de Egipto para recoger rastrojo en vez de paja.

So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

Y los capataces los siguieron y les dijeron: Hagan su trabajo de día completo como antes, cuando se les daba la paja.
Y los cuadrilleros los apremiaban, diciendo: Acabad vuestra obra, la tarea del día en su día, como cuando se os daba paja.
And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
The taskmasters were urgent saying, “Fulfill your work quota daily, as when there was straw!”
Y los hombres responsables de los hijos de Israel, que los príncipes de Faraón habían puesto sobre ellos, fueron castigados, y ellos les dijeron: ¿Por qué no hiciste tu trabajo ordinario, haciendo ladrillos como antes?
Y azotaban á los capataces de los hijos de Israel, que los cuadrilleros de Faraón habían puesto sobre ellos, diciendo: ¿Por qué no habéis cumplido vuestra tarea de ladrillo ni ayer ni hoy, como antes?
And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
The officers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and were asked, “Why haven’t you fulfilled your quota both yesterday and today, in making brick as before?”
Entonces los hombres responsables de los hijos de Israel vinieron a Faraón, protestando y diciendo: ¿Por qué tratas así a tus siervos?
Y los capataces de los hijos de Israel vinieron á Faraón, y se quejaron á él, diciendo: ¿Por qué lo haces así con tus siervos?
Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?
Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried to Pharaoh, saying, “Why do you deal this way with your servants?
No nos dan paja, y nos dicen: Haz ladrillos, y dan golpes a tus siervos; pero es tu gente quien está equivocada.
No se da paja á tus siervos, y con todo nos dicen: Haced el ladrillo. Y he aquí tus siervos son azotados, y tu pueblo cae en falta.
There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.
No straw is given to your servants, and they tell us, ‘Make brick!’ and behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in your own people.”
Pero él dijo: son unos holgazanes; por eso dices: vayamos y hagamos una ofrenda al Señor.
Y él respondió: Estáis ociosos, sí, ociosos, y por eso decís: Vamos y sacrifiquemos á Jehová.
But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.
But Pharaoh said, “You are idle! You are idle! Therefore you say, ‘Let’s go and sacrifice to the LORD.’
Ve ahora, vuelve a tu trabajo; no se les dará paja, pero deben hacer la cantidad completa de ladrillos.
Id pues ahora, y trabajad. No se os dará paja, y habéis de dar la tarea del ladrillo.
Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.
Go therefore now, and work; for no straw shall be given to you; yet you shall deliver the same number of bricks!”
Entonces los hombres responsables de los hijos de Israel vieron que estaban en aprietos cuando dijeron: El número de ladrillos que tienen que hacer todos los días no será menor que antes.
Entonces los capataces de los hijos de Israel se vieron en aflicción, habiéndoseles dicho: No se disminuirá nada de vuestro ladrillo, de la tarea de cada día.
And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.
The officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in trouble when it was said, “You shall not diminish anything from your daily quota of bricks!”
Y se encontraron cara a cara con Moisés y Aarón, que estaban en su camino cuando salieron de Faraón.
Y encontrando á Moisés y á Aarón, que estaban á la vista de ellos cuando salían de Faraón,
And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
They met Moses and Aaron, who stood along the way, as they came out from Pharaoh.
Y ellos les dijeron: El Señor tome nota de ti y sea tu juez; porque le has dado a Faraón y a sus siervos una mala opinión de nosotros, poniendo una espada en sus manos para nuestra destrucción.
Dijéronles: Mire Jehová sobre vosotros, y juzgue; pues habéis hecho heder nuestro olor delante de Faraón y de sus siervos, dándoles el cuchillo en las manos para que nos maten.
And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
They said to them, “May the LORD look at you and judge, because you have made us a stench to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us!”
Y Moisés volvió al Señor y le dijo: Señor, ¿por qué has hecho mal a este pueblo? ¿Por qué me has enviado?
Entonces Moisés se volvió á Jehová, y dijo: Señor, ¿por qué afliges á este pueblo? ¿para qué me enviaste?
And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?
Moses returned to the LORD, and said, “Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Why is it that you have sent me?
Porque desde el tiempo en que fui a Faraón para poner tus palabras delante de él, él ha hecho mal a este pueblo, y tú no les has dado ayuda.
Porque desde que yo vine á Faraón para hablarle en tu nombre, ha afligido á este pueblo; y tú tampoco has librado á tu pueblo.
For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people. You have not rescued your people at all!”
