E i commissari sollecitavano, dicendo: Fornite le vostre opere, giorno per giorno, come quando avevate della paglia.

Y los cuadrilleros los apremiaban, diciendo: Acabad vuestra obra, la tarea del día en su día, como cuando se os daba paja.

And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

The taskmasters were urgent saying, “Fulfill your work quota daily, as when there was straw!”
