1Mose aber weidete das Kleinvieh seines Schwiegervaters Jethro, des Priesters der Midianiter. Als er nun einst die Herde über die Steppe hinaus getrieben hatte, kam er an den Berg Gottes, an den Horeb.
2Da erschien ihm der Engel des HERRN als eine Feuerflamme, die mitten aus einem Dornbusch hervorschlug; und als er hinblickte, sah er, daß der Dornbusch im Feuer brannte, ohne jedoch vom Feuer verzehrt zu werden.
3Da dachte Mose: »Ich will doch hingehen und mir diese wunderbare Erscheinung ansehen, warum der Dornbusch nicht verbrennt.«
4Als nun der HERR sah, daß er herankam, um nachzusehen, rief Gott ihm aus dem Dornbusch heraus die Worte zu: »Mose, Mose!« Er antwortete: »Hier bin ich!«
5Da sagte er: »Tritt nicht näher heran! Ziehe dir die Schuhe aus von den Füßen; denn die Stätte, auf der du stehst, ist heiliger Boden.«
6Dann fuhr er fort: »Ich bin der Gott deines Vaters, der Gott Abrahams, der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs.« Da verhüllte Mose sein Gesicht; denn er fürchtete sich, Gott anzuschauen.
7Hierauf sagte der HERR: »Ich habe das Elend meines Volkes in Ägypten gesehen und ihr Geschrei über ihre Fronvögte gehört; ja, ich kenne ihre Leiden!
8Daher bin ich herabgekommen, um sie aus der Gewalt der Ägypter zu erretten und sie aus jenem Lande in ein schönes, geräumiges Land zu führen, in ein Land, das von Milch und Honig überfließt, in die Wohnsitze der Kanaanäer, Hethiter, Amoriter, Pherissiter, Hewiter und Jebusiter.
9Weil also jetzt das Wehgeschrei der Israeliten zu mir gedrungen ist und ich auch gesehen habe, wie schwer die Ägypter sie bedrücken,
10so gehe jetzt hin! Denn ich will dich zum Pharao senden, damit du mein Volk, die Israeliten, aus Ägypten hinausführst.«
11Da sagte Mose zu Gott: »Wer bin ich, daß ich zum Pharao gehen und die Israeliten aus Ägypten hinausführen sollte?«
12Er antwortete: »Ich selbst werde mit dir sein! Und dies soll dir das Wahrzeichen dafür sein, daß ich dich gesandt habe: Wenn du das Volk aus Ägypten wegführst, werdet ihr an diesem Berge Gott dienen.«
13Da sagte Mose zu Gott: »Wenn ich nun aber zu den Israeliten komme und ihnen sage: ›Der Gott eurer Väter hat mich zu euch gesandt‹, und wenn sie mich dann fragen: ›Wie heißt er denn?‹, was soll ich ihnen dann antworten?«
14Da sagte Gott zu Mose: »Ich bin, der ich bin.« Dann fuhr er fort: »So sollst du zu den Israeliten sagen: Der ›Ich bin‹ hat mich zu euch gesandt!«
15Und weiter sagte Gott zu Mose: »So sollst du zu den Israeliten sagen: ›Der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, der Gott Abrahams, der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs, hat mich zu euch gesandt.‹ Das ist mein Name in Ewigkeit und meine Benennung von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht.«
16»Gehe hin und versammle die Ältesten der Israeliten und sage zu ihnen: ›Der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, ist mir erschienen, der Gott Abrahams, Isaaks und Jakobs, und hat gesagt: Ich habe auf euch und auf das, was euch in Ägypten widerfahren ist, genau achtgegeben
17und habe beschlossen, euch aus dem Elend Ägyptens in das Land der Kanaanäer, Hethiter, Amoriter, Pherissiter, Hewiter und Jebusiter wegzuführen, in ein Land, das von Milch und Honig überfließt.‹
18Wenn sie dann auf dich hören, sollst du mit den Ältesten der Israeliten zum König von Ägypten hingehen, und ihr sollt zu ihm sagen: ›Der HERR, der Gott der Hebräer, ist uns erschienen; und nun möchten wir drei Tagereisen weit in die Wüste ziehen, um dort dem HERRN, unserm Gott, zu opfern.‹
19Ich weiß aber, daß der König von Ägypten euch nicht wird ziehen lassen, wenn er nicht durch eine starke Hand dazu gezwungen wird.
20Darum werde ich dann meine Hand ausstrecken und das Ägyptervolk mit all meinen Wundertaten schlagen, die ich in seiner Mitte verrichten werde; daraufhin wird er euch ziehen lassen.
21Auch will ich dieses Volk bei den Ägyptern Gunst finden lassen, so daß ihr bei eurem Auszug nicht mit leeren Händen ausziehen sollt,
22nein, jede Frau soll sich von ihrer Nachbarin und ihrer Hausgenossin silberne und goldene Schmucksachen und Kleider geben lassen; die sollt ihr dann euren Söhnen und Töchtern anlegen und so die Ägypter ausplündern.«

1Y APACENTANDO Moisés las ovejas de Jethro su suegro, sacerdote de Madián, llevó las ovejas detrás del desierto, y vino á Horeb, monte de Dios.
2Y apareciósele el Angel de Jehová en una llama de fuego en medio de una zarza: y él miró, y vió que la zarza ardía en fuego, y la zarza no se consumía.
3Entonces Moisés dijo: Iré yo ahora, y veré esta grande visión, por qué causa la zarza no se quema.
4Y viendo Jehová que iba á ver, llamólo Dios de en medio de la zarza, y dijo: ¡Moisés, Moisés! Y él respondió: Heme aquí.
5Y dijo: No te llegues acá: quita tus zapatos de tus pies, porque el lugar en que tú estás, tierra santa es.
6Y dijo: Yo soy el Dios de tu padre, Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac, Dios de Jacob. Entonces Moisés cubrió su rostro, porque tuvo miedo de mirar á Dios.
7Y dijo Jehová: Bien he visto la aflicción de mi pueblo que está en Egipto, y he oído su clamor á causa de sus exactores; pues tengo conocidas sus angustias:
8Y he descendido para librarlos de mano de los Egipcios, y sacarlos de aquella tierra á una tierra buena y ancha, á tierra que fluye leche y miel, á los lugares del Cananeo, del Hetheo, del Amorrheo, del Pherezeo, del Heveo, y del Jebuseo.
9El clamor, pues, de los hijos de Israel ha venido delante de mí, y también he visto la opresión con que los Egipcios los oprimen.
10Ven por tanto ahora, y enviarte he á Faraón, para que saques á mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de Egipto.
11Entonces Moisés respondió á Dios: ¿Quién soy yo, para que vaya á Faraón, y saque de Egipto á los hijos de Israel?
12Y él le respondió: Ve, porque yo seré contigo; y esto te será por señal de que yo te he enviado: luego que hubieres sacado este pueblo de Egipto, serviréis á Dios sobre este monte.
13Y dijo Moisés á Dios: He aquí que llego yo á los hijos de Israel, y les digo, El Dios de vuestros padres me ha enviado á vosotros; si ellos me preguntaren: ¿Cuál es su nombre? ¿qué les responderé?
14Y respondió Dios á Moisés: YO SOY EL QUE SOY. Y dijo: Así dirás á los hijos de Israel: YO SOY me ha enviado á vosotros.
15Y dijo más Dios á Moisés: Así dirás á los hijos de Israel: Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac y Dios de Jacob, me ha enviado á vosotros. Este es mi nombre para siempre, este es mi memorial por todos los siglos.
16Ve, y junta los ancianos de Israel, y diles: Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Jacob, me apareció, diciendo: De cierto os he visitado, y visto lo que se os hace en Egipto;
17Y he dicho: Yo os sacaré de la aflicción de Egipto á la tierra del Cananeo, y del Hetheo, y del Amorrheo, y del Pherezeo, y del Heveo, y del Jebuseo, á una tierra que fluye leche y miel.
18Y oirán tu voz; é irás tú, y los ancianos de Israel, al rey de Egipto, y le diréis: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, nos ha encontrado; por tanto nosotros iremos ahora camino de tres días por el desierto, para que sacrifiquemos á Jehová nuestro Dios.
19Mas yo sé que el rey de Egipto no os dejará ir sino por mano fuerte.
20Empero yo extenderé mi mano, y heriré á Egipto con todas mis maravillas que haré en él, y entonces os dejará ir.
21Y yo daré á este pueblo gracia en los ojos de los Egipcios, para que cuando os partiereis, no salgáis vacíos:
22Sino que demandará cada mujer á su vecina y á su huéspeda vasos de plata, vasos de oro, y vestidos: los cuales pondréis sobre vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas; y despojaréis á Egipto.

1Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
7And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
10Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
11And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
12And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
13And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
15And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
16Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
17And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.
18And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
19And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
20And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
21And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
22But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.

1Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.
2The LORD’s angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3Moses said, “I will go now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”
4When the LORD saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said, “Moses! Moses!” He said, “Here I am.”
5He said, “Don’t come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.”
6Moreover he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.
7The LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
8I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
9Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
10Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
11Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

13Moses said to God, “Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what should I tell them?”
14God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
15God said moreover to Moses, “You shall tell the children of Israel this, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.
16Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.
17I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’
18They will listen to your voice. You shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall tell him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD, our God.’
19I know that the king of Egypt won’t give you permission to go, no, not by a mighty hand.
20I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do among them, and after that he will let you go.
21I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and it will happen that when you go, you shall not go empty-handed.
22But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and of her who visits her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and clothing. You shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters. You shall plunder the Egyptians.”
