1Et Betsaleël fit l’arche de bois de sittim : sa longueur était de deux coudées et demie, et sa largeur d’une coudée et demie, et sa hauteur d’une coudée et demie.

2Et il la plaqua d’or pur, dedans et dehors, et lui fit un couronnement d’or tout autour ;

3et il fondit pour elle quatre anneaux d’or, pour ses quatre coins, deux anneaux à l’un de ses côtés, et deux anneaux à l’autre de ses côtés.

4Et il fit des barres de bois de sittim, et les plaqua d’or ;

5et il fit entrer les barres dans les anneaux, aux côtés de l’arche, pour porter l’arche.

6– Et il fit un propitiatoire d’or pur : sa longueur était de deux coudées et demie, et sa largeur d’une coudée et demie.

7Et il fit deux chérubins d’or ; il les fit d’or battu, aux deux bouts du propitiatoire,

8un chérubin au bout de deçà, et un chérubin au bout de delà ; il fit les chérubins [tirés] du propitiatoire, à ses deux bouts.

9Et les chérubins étendaient les ailes en haut, couvrant de leurs ailes le propitiatoire ; et leurs faces étaient l’une vis-à-vis de l’autre ; les faces des chérubins étaient [tournées] vers le propitiatoire.

10Et il fit la table de bois de sittim : sa longueur était de deux coudées, et sa largeur d’une coudée, et sa hauteur d’une coudée et demie ;

11et il la plaqua d’or pur, et y fit un couronnement d’or tout autour.

12Et il y fit un rebord d’une paume tout autour, et il fit un couronnement d’or à son rebord, tout autour ;

13et il lui fondit quatre anneaux d’or, et il mit les anneaux aux quatre coins qui étaient à ses quatre pieds.

14Les anneaux étaient près du rebord, pour recevoir les barres, pour porter la table ;

15et il fit les barres de bois de sittim, et les plaqua d’or, pour porter la table.

16Et il fit d’or pur les ustensiles qui étaient sur la table, ses plats, et ses coupes, et ses vases, et les gobelets avec lesquels on fait les libations.

17Et il fit le chandelier d’or pur ; il fit le chandelier [d’or] battu ; son pied, et sa tige, ses calices, ses pommes, et ses fleurs, étaient [tirés] de lui ;

18et six branches sortaient de ses côtés, trois branches du chandelier d’un côté, et trois branches du chandelier de l’autre côté.

19Il y avait, sur une branche, trois calices en forme de fleur d’amandier, une pomme et une fleur, et, sur une [autre] branche, trois calices en forme de fleur d’amandier, une pomme et une fleur ; ainsi pour les six branches sortant du chandelier.

20Et il y avait au chandelier quatre calices en forme de fleur d’amandier, ses pommes et ses fleurs ;

21et une pomme sous deux branches [sortant] de lui, et une pomme sous deux branches [sortant] de lui, et une pomme sous deux branches [sortant] de lui, pour les six branches qui sortaient de lui ;

22leurs pommes et leurs branches étaient [tirées] de lui, le tout battu, d’une pièce, d’or pur.

23– Et il fit ses sept lampes, et ses mouchettes, et ses vases à cendre, d’or pur :

24il le fit, avec tous ses ustensiles, d’un talent d’or pur.

25Et il fit l’autel de l’encens, de bois de sittim : sa longueur était d’une coudée, et sa largeur d’une coudée ; il était carré ; et sa hauteur était de deux coudées ; ses cornes étaient [tirées] de lui.

26Et il le plaqua d’or pur, le dessus et ses parois, tout autour, et ses cornes. Et il lui fit un couronnement d’or tout autour.

27Et il lui fit deux anneaux d’or au-dessous de son couronnement, sur ses deux côtés, à ses deux coins, pour recevoir les barres, pour le porter par elles.

28Et il fit les barres de bois de sittim, et les plaqua d’or.

29Et il fit l’huile sainte de l’onction et le pur encens des drogues odoriférantes, d’ouvrage de parfumeur.

1HIZO también Bezaleel el arca de madera de Sittim: su longitud era de dos codos y medio, y de codo y medio su anchura, y su altura de otro codo y medio:

2Y cubrióla de oro puro por de dentro y por de fuera, é hízole una cornisa de oro en derredor.

3Hízole además de fundición cuatro anillos de oro á sus cuatro esquinas; en el un lado dos anillos y en el otro lado dos anillos.

4Hizo también las varas de madera de Sittim, y cubriólas de oro.

5Y metió las varas por los anillos á los lados del arca, para llevar el arca.

6Hizo asimismo la cubierta de oro puro: su longitud de dos codos y medio, y su anchura de codo y medio.

7Hizo también los dos querubines de oro, hízolos labrados á martillo, á los dos cabos de la cubierta:

8El un querubín de esta parte al un cabo, y el otro querubín de la otra parte al otro cabo de la cubierta: hizo los querubines á sus dos cabos.

9Y los querubines extendían sus alas por encima, cubriendo con sus alas la cubierta: y sus rostros el uno enfrente del otro, hacia la cubierta los rostros de los querubines.

10Hizo también la mesa de madera de Sittim; su longitud de dos codos, y su anchura de un codo, y de codo y medio su altura;

11Y cubrióla de oro puro, é hízole una cornisa de oro en derredor.

12Hízole también una moldura alrededor, del ancho de una mano, á la cual moldura hizo la cornisa de oro en circunferencia.

13Hízole asimismo de fundición cuatro anillos de oro, y púsolos á las cuatro esquinas que correspondían á los cuatro pies de ella.

14Delante de la moldura estaban los anillos, por los cuales se metiesen las varas para llevar la mesa.

15E hizo las varas de madera de Sittim para llevar la mesa, y cubriólas de oro.

16También hizo los vasos que habían de estar sobre la mesa, sus platos, y sus cucharas, y sus cubiertos y sus tazones con que se había de libar, de oro fino.

17Hizo asimismo el candelero de oro puro, é hízolo labrado á martillo: su pie y su caña, sus copas, sus manzanas y sus flores eran de lo mismo.

18De sus lados salían seis brazos; tres brazos del un lado del candelero, y otros tres brazos del otro lado del candelero:

19En el un brazo, tres copas figura de almendras, una manzana y una flor; y en el otro brazo tres copas figura de almendras, una manzana y una flor: y así en los seis brazos que salían del candelero.

20Y en el candelero había cuatro copas figura de almendras, sus manzanas y sus flores:

21Y una manzana debajo de los dos brazos de lo mismo, y otra manzana debajo de los otros dos brazos de lo mismo, y otra manzana debajo de los otros dos brazos de lo mismo, conforme á los seis brazos que salían de él.

22Sus manzanas y sus brazos eran de lo mismo; todo era una pieza labrada á martillo, de oro puro.

23Hizo asimismo sus siete candilejas, y sus despabiladeras, y sus platillos, de oro puro;

24De un talento de oro puro lo hizo, con todos sus vasos.

25Hizo también el altar del perfume de madera de Sittim: un codo su longitud, y otro codo su anchura, era cuadrado; y su altura de dos codos; y sus cuernos de la misma pieza.

26Y cubriólo de oro puro, su mesa y sus paredes alrededor, y sus cuernos: é hízole una corona de oro alrededor.

27Hízole también dos anillos de oro debajo de la corona en las dos esquinas á los dos lados, para pasar por ellos las varas con que había de ser conducido.

28E hizo las varas de madera de Sittim, y cubriólas de oro.

29Hizo asimismo el aceite santo de la unción, y el fino perfume aromático, de obra de perfumador.

1And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:

2And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

3And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.

4And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.

5And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.

6And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

7And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

8One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

9And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

10And he made the table of shittim wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:

11And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about.

12Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.

13And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.

14Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.

15And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.

16And he made the vessels which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold.

17And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:

18And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:

19Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.

20And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:

21And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.

22Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.

23And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.

24Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.

25And he made the incense altar of shittim wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same.

26And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.

27And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.

28And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.

29And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

World English Bible

1Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood. Its length was two and a half cubits, and its width a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height.

2He overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside, and made a molding of gold for it around it.

3He cast four rings of gold for it in its four feet—two rings on its one side, and two rings on its other side.

4He made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

5He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.

6He made a mercy seat of pure gold. Its length was two and a half cubits, and a cubit and a half its width.

7He made two cherubim of gold. He made them of beaten work, at the two ends of the mercy seat:

8one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. He made the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends.

9The cherubim spread out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

10He made the table of acacia wood. Its length was two cubits, and its width was a cubit, and its height was a cubit and a half.

11He overlaid it with pure gold, and made a gold molding around it.

12He made a border of a hand’s width around it, and made a golden molding on its border around it.

13He cast four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that were on its four feet.

14The rings were close by the border, the places for the poles to carry the table.

15He made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table.

16He made the vessels which were on the table, its dishes, its spoons, its bowls, and its pitchers with which to pour out, of pure gold.

17He made the lamp stand of pure gold. He made the lamp stand of beaten work. Its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers were of one piece with it.

18There were six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the lamp stand out of its one side, and three branches of the lamp stand out of its other side:

19three cups made like almond blossoms in one branch, a bud and a flower, and three cups made like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bud and a flower; so for the six branches going out of the lamp stand.

20In the lamp stand were four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers;

21and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of it.

22Their buds and their branches were of one piece with it. The whole thing was one beaten work of pure gold.

23He made its seven lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff dishes, of pure gold.

24He made it of a talent of pure gold, with all its vessels.

25He made the altar of incense of acacia wood. It was square: its length was a cubit, and its width a cubit. Its height was two cubits. Its horns were of one piece with it.

26He overlaid it with pure gold: its top, its sides around it, and its horns. He made a gold molding around it.

27He made two golden rings for it under its molding crown, on its two ribs, on its two sides, for places for poles with which to carry it.

28He made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.

29He made the holy anointing oil and the pure incense of sweet spices, after the art of the perfumer.
