Da hieb Mose zwei steinerne Tafeln zurecht, wie die ersten gewesen waren. Und am andern Morgen in der Frühe stieg er auf den Berg Sinai, wie ihm der Herr geboten hatte, und nahm die zwei steinernen Tafeln mit.

Er erwiderte: Siehe, ich schliesse einen Bund: vor deinem ganzen Volke will ich Wunder tun, dergleichen nicht gewirkt worden sind auf der ganzen Erde und unter allen Völkern, und das ganze Volk, unter dem du weilst, soll das Tun des Herrn sehen; denn furchtbar ist, was ich für dich tun werde.
