1Da befahl Jahwe Mose: haue dir zwei Steintafeln zurecht, wie die früheren waren; dann will ich auf die Tafeln die Gebote schreiben, die auf den früheren Tafeln standen, welche du zerbrochen hast.
2Und sei bereit, morgen in aller Frühe auf den Berg Sinai hinaufzusteigen; dann erwarte mich dort auf der Spitze des Berges.
3Es darf aber niemand mit dir hinaufsteigen. Ja es darf sich niemand im Bereiche des ganzen Berges blicken lassen; selbst Schafe und Rinder dürfen nirgends in der Nähe dieses Berges weiden.
4Da hieb er zwei Steintafeln aus wie die früheren. Und Mose brach des anderen Tages früh auf und stieg auf den Berg Sinai, wie ihm Jahwe befohlen hatte, und nahm zwei Steintafeln mit sich.
5Da fuhr Jahwe in einer Wolke hernieder; er aber stellte sich dort neben ihn und rief den Namen Jahwes an.
6Da zog Jahwe an ihm vorüber, indem er rief: Jahwe, Jahwe ist ein barmherziger und gnädiger Gott, langsam zum Zorn und reich an Huld und Treue,
7der Huld bewahrt Tausenden, der Missethat, Übertretung und Sünde vergiebt, aber nicht ganz ungestraft läßt, sondern Väterschuld ahndet an den Kindern und an den Enkeln, am dritten und vierten Gliede.
8Da neigte sich Mose eilends bis auf den Boden, warf sich nieder
9und sprach: O Herr, wenn ich irgend Gnade vor dir gefunden habe, so wolle doch mitten unter uns einherziehen! Das Volk ist ja halsstarrig; aber verzeihe uns unsere Missethaten und Sünden und mache uns zu deinem Eigentum!
10Er antwortete: Wohlan, ich verordne feierlich im Beisein deines ganzen Volkes: Ich will Wunder thun, wie sie nicht verrichtet worden sind auf der ganzen Erde und unter allen Völkern, und das ganze Volk, inmitten dessen du dich befindest, soll das Thun Jahwes gewahren; denn staunenswert ist, was ich an dir thun werde!
11Beobachte, was ich dir heute gebiete. Ich will vor dir vertreiben die Amoriter, die Kanaaniter, die Hethiter, die Pheresiter, die Heviter und die Jebusiter.
12Hüte dich davor, mit den Bewohnern des Landes, in welches du kommen wirst, ein Abkommen zu treffen; sie könnten euch sonst, wenn sie mitten unter euch wohnen, zum Fallstricke werden.
13Vielmehr sollt ihr ihre Altäre zerstören, ihre Malsteine zertrümmern und ihre heiligen Bäume umhauen.
14Aber du sollst dich vor keinem anderen Gotte niederwerfen. Denn Jahwe heißt eifersüchtig; ein eifersüchtiger Gott ist er.
15Wenn du ein Abkommen mit den Bewohnern des Landes triffst, und sie mit ihren Göttern Abgötterei treiben und ihren Göttern Opfer bringen und dich dazu einladen, so lauft ihr Gefahr, von ihrer Opfergabe zu essen.
16Auch würdet ihr ihre Töchter für eure Söhne freien; wenn dann ihre Töchter ihren Göttern dienend Abgötterei trieben, so würden sie auch deine Söhne zu der gleichen Abgötterei verführen.
17Du sollst dir nicht ein gegossenes Gottesbild machen.
18Das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sollst du halten; sieben Tage hindurch sollst du ungesäuerte Brote essen, wie ich dir befohlen habe, zur Zeit des Monats Abib; denn im Monat Abib bist du aus Ägypten weggezoggen.
19Alle Erstgeburt gehört mir; ebenso all' dein Vieh, soweit es männlich ist, - der erste Wurf von Rindern und Schafen.
20Den ersten Wurf eines Esels aber sollst du mit einem Schaf auslösen und wenn du ihn nicht auslösen willst, so mußt du ihm das Genick brechen. Alle Erstgeburt unter deinen Söhnen sollst du auslösen; und vor mir soll man nicht mit leeren Händen erscheinen.
21Sechs Tage hindurch magst du arbeiten, aber am siebenten Tage sollst du ruhen; selbst während der Zeit des Pflügens und Erntens sollst du ruhen.
22Und das Wochenfest sollst du halten, das Fest der Erstlinge der Weizenernte und das Fest des Einherbstens bei der Wende des Jahres.
23Dreimal im Jahre soll alles, was männlich unter euch ist, vor dem Herrn, Jahwe, dem Gott Israels erscheinen.
24Denn ich will dir zuliebe Völker ihres Besitzes berauben und deinem Gebiete eine weite Ausdehnung geben; aber niemand soll sich gelüsten lassen nach deinem Lande, während du hinziehst, um vor Jahwe, deinem Gotte, zu erscheinen, dreimal im Jahre.
25Du sollst das Blut meiner Opfer nicht zu gesäuertem Brote schlachten, und das Opferfleich des Passahfestes soll nicht bis zum andern Morgen aufbehalten werden.
26Die Erstlinge von den ersten Früchten deines Bodens sollst du zum Hause Jahwes, deines Gottes, bringen. Du sollst ein Böckchen nicht in der Milch seiner Mutter kochen.
27Und Jahwe befahl Mose: Schreibe dir diese Gebote auf; denn auf Grund dieser Gebote schließe ich mit dir und mit Israel einen Bund.
28Er verweilte aber dort bei Jahwe vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte, ohne Speise und Trank zu sich zu nehmen. Da schrieb er die Bundesgebote, die zehn Gebote, auf die Tafeln.
29Als aber Mose vom Berge Sinai herabstieg mit den beiden Gesetztafeln in der Hand, - als er vom Berge herabstieg, wußte Mose nicht, daß die Haut seines Antlitzes glänzend geworden war infolge seiner Unterredung mit ihm.
30Als nun Aaron und alle Israeliten an Mose wahrnahmen, daß die Haut seines Antlitzes glänzte, fürchteten sie sich, ihm nahe zu kommen.
31Mose aber rief ihnen zu; da wandten sie sich ihm wieder zu, sowohl Aaron, als alle Fürsten in der Gemeinde. Und Mose redete mit ihnen.
32Darnach traten alle übrigen Israeliten heran. Da trug er ihnen alle Gebote vor, welche ihm Jahwe auf dem Berge Sinai anbefohlen hatte.
33Als aber Mose seine Unterredung mit ihnen beendigt hatte, legte er eine Hülle auf sein Antlitz.
34Jedesmal wenn Mose vor Jahwe trat, um mit ihm zu reden, entfernte er die Hülle, bis er wieder herauskam. Und jedesmal wenn er herauskam, richtete er den Israeliten aus, was ihm aufgetragen worden war.
35Da sahen dann jedesmal die Israeliten, daß die Haut des Antlitzes Moses glänzte. Dann legte Mose die Hülle wieder auf sein Antlitz, bis er hineinging, mit ihm zu reden.

1Y JEHOVÁ dijo á Moisés: Alísate dos tablas de piedra como las primeras, y escribiré sobre esas tablas las palabras que estaban en las tablas primeras que quebraste.
2Apercíbete, pues, para mañana, y sube por la mañana al monte de Sinaí, y estáme allí sobre la cumbre del monte.
3Y no suba hombre contigo, ni parezca alguno en todo el monte; ni ovejas ni bueyes pazcan delante del monte.
4Y Moisés alisó dos tablas de piedra como las primeras; y levantóse por la mañana, y subió al monte de Sinaí, como le mandó Jehová, y llevó en su mano las dos tablas de piedra.
5Y Jehová descendió en la nube, y estuvo allí con él, proclamando el nombre de Jehová.
6Y pasando Jehová por delante de él, proclamó: Jehová, Jehová, fuerte, misericordioso, y piadoso; tardo para la ira, y grande en benignidad y verdad;
7Que guarda la misericordia en millares, que perdona la iniquidad, la rebelión, y el pecado, y que de ningún modo justificará al malvado; que visita la iniquidad de los padres sobre los hijos y sobre los hijos de los hijos, sobre los terceros, y sobre los cuartos.
8Entonces Moisés, apresurándose, bajó la cabeza hacia el suelo y encorvóse;
9Y dijo: Si ahora, Señor, he hallado gracia en tus ojos, vaya ahora el Señor en medio de nosotros; porque este es pueblo de dura cerviz; y perdona nuestra iniquidad y nuestro pecado, y poséenos.
10Y él dijo: He aquí, yo hago concierto delante de todo tu pueblo: haré maravillas que no han sido hechas en toda la tierra, ni en nación alguna; y verá todo el pueblo en medio del cual estás tú, la obra de Jehová; porque ha de ser cosa terrible la que yo haré contigo.
11Guarda lo que yo te mando hoy; he aquí que yo echo de delante de tu presencia al Amorrheo, y al Cananeo, y al Hetheo, y al Pherezeo, y al Heveo, y al Jebuseo.
12Guárdate que no hagas alianza con los moradores de la tierra donde has de entrar, porque no sean por tropezadero en medio de tí:
13Mas derribaréis sus altares, y quebraréis sus estatuas, y talaréis sus bosques:
14Porque no te has de inclinar á dios ajeno; que Jehová, cuyo nombre es Celoso, Dios celoso es.
15Por tanto no harás alianza con los moradores de aquella tierra; porque fornicarán en pos de sus dioses, y sacrificarán á sus dioses, y te llamarán, y comerás de sus sacrificios;
16O tomando de sus hijas para tus hijos, y fornicando sus hijas en pos de sus dioses, harán también fornicar á tus hijos en pos de los dioses de ellas.
17No harás dioses de fundición para ti.
18La fiesta de los ázimos guardarás: siete días comerás por leudar, según te he mandado, en el tiempo del mes de Abib; porque en el mes de Abib saliste de Egipto.
19Todo lo que abre matriz, mío es; y de tu ganado todo primerizo de vaca ó de oveja que fuere macho.
20Empero redimirás con cordero el primerizo del asno; y si no lo redimieres, le has de cortar la cabeza. Redimirás todo primogénito de tus hijos, y no serán vistos vacíos delante de mí.
21Seis días trabajarás, mas en el séptimo día cesarás: cesarás aun en la arada y en la siega.
22Y te harás la fiesta de las semanas á los principios de la siega del trigo: y la fiesta de la cosecha á la vuelta del año.
23Tres veces en el año será visto todo varón tuyo delante del Señoreador Jehová, Dios de Israel.
24Porque yo arrojaré las gentes de tu presencia, y ensancharé tu término: y ninguno codiciará tu tierra, cuando tú subieres para ser visto delante de Jehová tu Dios tres veces en el año.
25No ofrecerás con leudo la sangre de mi sacrificio; ni quedará de la noche para la mañana el sacrificio de la fiesta de la pascua.
26La primicia de los primeros frutos de tu tierra meterás en la casa de Jehová tu Dios. No cocerás el cabrito en la leche de su madre.
27Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Escribe tú estas palabras; porque conforme á estas palabras he hecho la alianza contigo y con Israel.
28Y él estuvo allí con Jehová cuarenta días y cuarenta noches: no comió pan, ni bebió agua; y escribió en tablas las palabras de la alianza, las diez palabras.
29Y aconteció, que descendiendo Moisés del monte Sinaí con las dos tablas del testimonio en su mano, mientras descendía del monte, no sabía él que la tez de su rostro resplandecía, después que hubo con El hablado.
30Y miró Aarón y todos los hijos de Israel á Moisés, y he aquí la tez de su rostro era resplandeciente; y tuvieron miedo de llegarse á él.
31Y llamólos Moisés; y Aarón y todos los príncipes de la congregación volvieron á él, y Moisés les habló.
32Y después se llegaron todos los hijos de Israel, á los cuales mandó todas las cosas que Jehová le había dicho en el monte de Sinaí.
33Y cuando hubo acabado Moisés de hablar con ellos, puso un velo sobre su rostro.
34Y cuando venía Moisés delante de Jehová para hablar con él, quitábase el velo hasta que salía; y saliendo, hablaba con los hijos de Israel lo que le era mandado;
35Y veían los hijos de Israel el rostro de Moisés, que la tez de su rostro era resplandeciente; y volvía Moisés á poner el velo sobre su rostro, hasta que entraba á hablar con El.

1And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
2And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
3And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
4And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
6And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
8And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
9And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
10And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
11Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
12Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
13But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
14For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
15Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
16And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
17Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
18The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
19All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.
20But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
21Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
22And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.
23Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.
24For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.
25Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
26The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
27And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
28And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
29And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
30And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
31And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
32And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
33And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
34But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
35And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
World English Bible
1The LORD said to Moses, “Chisel two stone tablets like the first. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.
2Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain.
3No one shall come up with you or be seen anywhere on the mountain. Do not let the flocks or herds graze in front of that mountain.”
4He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; then Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets.
5The LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the LORD’s name.
6The LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, “The LORD! The LORD, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,
7keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.”
8Moses hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.
9He said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go among us, even though this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”
10He said, “Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.
11Observe that which I command you today. Behold, I will drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
12Be careful, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be for a snare among you;
13but you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and you shall cut down their Asherah poles;
14for you shall worship no other god; for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
15“Don’t make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;
16and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters play the prostitute after their gods, and make your sons play the prostitute after their gods.
17“You shall make no cast idols for yourselves.
18“You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out of Egypt.
19“All that opens the womb is mine; and all your livestock that is male, the firstborn of cow and sheep.
20You shall redeem the firstborn of a donkey with a lamb. If you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. You shall redeem all the firstborn of your sons. No one shall appear before me empty.
21“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.
22“You shall observe the feast of weeks with the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of harvest at the year’s end.
23Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.
24For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before the LORD, your God, three times in the year.
25“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread. The sacrifice of the feast of the Passover shall not be left to the morning.
26“You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
27The LORD said to Moses, “Write these words; for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”
28He was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
29When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mountain, Moses didn’t know that the skin of his face shone by reason of his speaking with him.
30When Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.
31Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them.
32Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them all the commandments that the LORD had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.
33When Moses was done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.
34But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out; and he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
35The children of Israel saw Moses’ face, that the skin of Moses’ face shone; so Moses put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
