El SEÑORé habló a Moisés: "Sal de aquí, tú y la gente a quien haz traído de la tierra de Egipto. Vayan a la tierra acerca de la cual hice un juramento a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob, cuando les dije: 'Yo se la daré a tus descendientes.'
Y JEHOVÁ dijo á Moisés: Ve, sube de aquí, tú y el pueblo que sacaste de la tierra de Egipto, á la tierra de la cual juré á Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, diciendo: A tu simiente la daré:
And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
The LORD spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people that you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’
Yo enviaré un ángel delante de ustedes, y sacaré a los Cananeos, Amorreos, Hititas, Ferezeos, Heveos y Jebuseos.
Y yo enviaré delante de ti el ángel, y echaré fuera al Cananeo y al Amorrheo, y al Hetheo, y al Pherezeo, y al Heveo y al Jebuseo:
And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

Vayan a la tierra, que está fluyendo con leche y miel, pero no iré con ustedes, porque son personas tercas. Yo podría destruirles en el camino."
(A la tierra que fluye leche y miel); porque yo no subiré en medio de ti, porque eres pueblo de dura cerviz, no sea que te consuma en el camino.
Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
Go to a land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, lest I consume you on the way.”
Cuando la gente escuchó estas palabras preocupantes, hicieron duelo y nadie se puso joya alguna.
Y oyendo el pueblo esta sensible palabra, vistieron luto, y ninguno se puso sus atavíos:
And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
When the people heard this evil news, they mourned; and no one put on his jewelry.
El SEÑOR le había dicho a Moisés: "Dile a los Israelitas: 'Ustedes son personas tercas. Si Yo fuera entre ustedes tan sólo un momento, Yo los destruiría. Así que ahora, quiten sus joyas para decidir qué hacer con ustedes."
Pues Jehová dijo á Moisés: Di á los hijos de Israel: Vosotros sois pueblo de dura cerviz: en un momento subiré en medio de ti, y te consumiré: quítate pues ahora tus atavíos, que yo sabré lo que te tengo de hacer.
For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
The LORD had said to Moses, “Tell the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up among you for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.’”
Así que los Israelitas no usaron ninguna joya desde el Monte Horeb en adelante.

Moisés tomó una tienda de campaña y la colocó fuera del campamento, lejos del campamento. La llamó la tienda de la reunión. Todo aquel que le pedía algo a el SEÑOR iba a la tienda de la reunión, fuera del campamento.
Y Moisés tomó el tabernáculo, y extendiólo fuera del campo, lejos del campo, y llamólo el Tabernáculo del Testimonio. Y fué, que cualquiera que requería á Jehová, salía al tabernáculo del testimonio, que estaba fuera del campo.
And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far away from the camp, and he called it “The Tent of Meeting.” Everyone who sought the LORD went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp.
Cuando Moisés iba a la tienda de campaña, toda la gente se paraba a la puerta de su tienda y miraba a Moisés hasta que entraba a la tienda.
Y sucedía que, cuando salía Moisés al tabernáculo, todo el pueblo se levantaba, y estaba cada cual en pie á la puerta de su tienda, y miraban en pos de Moisés, hasta que él entraba en el tabernáculo.
And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

Cada vez que Moisés entraba a la tienda, bajaba la columna de nube y se situaba a la entrada de la tienda, y el SEÑOR hablaba con Moisés.
Y cuando Moisés entraba en el tabernáculo, la columna de nube descendía, y poníase á la puerta del tabernáculo, y Jehová hablaba con Moisés.
And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

Cada vez que toda la gente veía la columna de nube en la entrada de la tienda, se levantaban y adoraraban, cada hombre a la entrada de su tienda.
Y viendo todo el pueblo la columna de la nube, que estaba á la puerta del tabernáculo, levantábase todo el pueblo, cada uno á la puerta de su tienda, y adoraba.

El SEÑORhablaba con Moisés cara a cara, como un hombre habla con su amigo. Luego Moisés regresaba al campamento, pero su siervo Josué hijo de Nun, un hombre jóven, se quedaba en la tienda.
Y hablaba Jehová á Moisés cara á cara, como habla cualquiera á su compañero. Y volvíase al campo; mas el joven Josué, su criado, hijo de Nun, nunca se apartaba de en medio del tabernáculo.
And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

Moisés le dijo al SEÑOR: "Mira, Me haz dicho: 'Lleva a esta gente en su viaje,' pero no me has dicho a quién enviarás conmigo. Haz dicho: 'te conozco por tu nombre, y además haz encontrado favor ante mi vista.'
Y dijo Moisés á Jehová: Mira, tú me dices á mí: Saca este pueblo: y tú no me has declarado á quién has de enviar conmigo: sin embargo tú dices: Yo te he conocido por tu nombre, y has hallado también gracia en mis ojos.
And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, you tell me, ‘Bring up this people;’ and you haven’t let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’
Ahora si he encontrado favor ante tu vista, muéstrame Tus caminos para que Te pueda conocer y siga encontrando favor ante tu vista. Recuerda que esta nación es tu pueblo.
Ahora, pues, si he hallado gracia en tus ojos, ruégote que me muestres ahora tu camino, para que te conozca, porque halle gracia en tus ojos: y mira que tu pueblo es aquesta gente.
Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me your way, now, that I may know you, so that I may find favor in your sight; and consider that this nation is your people.”
El SEÑOR contesto: "Mi propia presencia irá contigo, y Yo te daré descanso."
Y él dijo: Mi rostro irá contigo, y te haré descansar.
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Moisés le dijo: "Si tu presencia no va con nosotros, no nos saques de aquí.
Y él respondió: Si tu rostro no ha de ir conmigo, no nos saques de aquí.
And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
Moses said to him, “If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here.
Porque de lo contrario, ¿cómo se sabrá que tu pueblo y yo hemos encontrado favor ante tu vista? ¿No será solamente si tú vas con nosotros para que tu pueblo y yo seamos diferentes de todos los demás que están sobre la faz de la tierra?"
¿Y en qué se conocerá aquí que he hallado gracia en tus ojos, yo y tu pueblo, sino en andar tú con nosotros, y que yo y tu pueblo seamos apartados de todos los pueblos que están sobre la faz de la tierra?
For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
For how would people know that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Isn’t it that you go with us, so that we are separated, I and your people, from all the people who are on the surface of the earth?”
El SEÑOR le dijo a Moisés: "También haré esto que me haz pedido, por que haz encontrado favor ante mi vista, y te conozco por tu nombre."
Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: También haré esto que has dicho, por cuanto has hallado gracia en mis ojos, y te he conocido por tu nombre.
And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
The LORD said to Moses, “I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”
Moisés dijo: "Por favor enséñame tu gloria."
El entonces dijo: Ruégote que me muestres tu gloria.
And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”
El SEÑOR dijo: "Haré que toda mi bondad pase frente a tí, y proclamaré mi nombre 'El SEÑOR' ante tí. Seré compasivo con el que seré compasivo, y mostraré misericordia a quien le muestre misericordia."
Y respondióle: Yo haré pasar todo mi bien delante de tu rostro, y proclamaré el nombre de Jehová delante de ti; y tendré misericordia del que tendré misericordia, y seré clemente para con el que seré clemente.
And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the LORD’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”
Pero el SEÑOR dijo: "No podrás ver mi rostro, ya que nadie me puede ver y vivir."
Dijo más: No podrás ver mi rostro: porque no me verá hombre, y vivirá.
And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
He said, “You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live.”
El SEÑOR dijo: "Mira, aquí hay un lugar cerca de Mí; tú te pondrás en pie sobre esta roca.
Y dijo aún Jehová: He aquí lugar junto á mí, y tú estarás sobre la peña:
And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
The LORD also said, “Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock.
Mientras Mi gloria pase, Yo te pondré en una hendidura de la roca y te cubriré con Mi mano hasta que Yo haya pasado.
Y será que, cuando pasare mi gloria, yo te pondré en una hendidura de la peña, y te cubriré con mi mano hasta que haya pasado:
And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by;
Después quitaré mi mano, y verás mi espalda, pero Mi rostro no será visto."
Después apartaré mi mano, y verás mis espaldas; mas no se verá mi rostro.
And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back; but my face shall not be seen.”
