5Car l'Éternel avait dit à Moïse: Dis aux enfants d'Israël: Vous êtes un peuple de cou roide. Si je montais un seul moment au milieu de toi, je te consumerais; maintenant donc ôte tes ornements de dessus toi, et je verrai ce que je te ferai.

5For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

5The LORD had said to Moses, “Tell the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up among you for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.’”
