E il Signore disse a Mosè: Di' a' figliuoli d'Israele: Popolo di dura cervice sei tu: se io mi porrò una volta in mezzo a te, io ti sterminerò. Su via, deponi i tuoi ornamenti affinché io sappia, come ho da trattarti.
Pues Jehová dijo á Moisés: Di á los hijos de Israel: Vosotros sois pueblo de dura cerviz: en un momento subiré en medio de ti, y te consumiré: quítate pues ahora tus atavíos, que yo sabré lo que te tengo de hacer.
For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
The LORD had said to Moses, “Tell the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up among you for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.’”
