1E tu fa’ accostare a te, di tra i figliuoli d’Israele, Aaronne tuo fratello e i suoi figliuoli con lui perché mi esercitino l’ufficio di sacerdoti: Aaronne, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar e Ithamar, figliuoli d’Aaronne.
2E farai ad Aaronne, tuo fratello, dei paramenti sacri, come insegne della loro dignità e come ornamento.
3Parlerai a tutti gli uomini intelligenti, i quali io ho ripieni di spirito di sapienza, ed essi faranno i paramenti d’Aaronne per consacrarlo, onde mi eserciti l’ufficio di sacerdote.
4E questi sono i paramenti che faranno: un pettorale, un efod, un manto, una tunica lavorata a maglia, una mitra e una cintura. Faranno dunque de’ paramenti sacri per Aaronne tuo fratello e per i suoi figliuoli, affinché mi esercitino l’ufficio di sacerdoti;
5e si serviranno d’oro, di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino.
6Faranno l’efod d’oro, di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto, lavorato artisticamente.
7Esso avrà alle due estremità due spallette, che si uniranno, in guisa ch’esso si terra bene insieme.
8E la cintura artistica che è sull’efod per fissarlo, sarà del medesimo lavoro dell’efod, e tutto d’un pezzo con esso; sarà d’oro, di filo color violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto.
9E prenderai due pietre d’onice e v’inciderai su i nomi dei figliuoli d’Israele:
10sei de’ loro nomi sopra una pietra, e gli altri sei nomi sopra la seconda pietra, secondo il loro ordine di nascita.
11Inciderai su queste due pietre i nomi de’ figliuoli d’Israele come fa il lapidario, come s’incide un sigillo; le farai incastrare in castoni d’oro.
12Metterai le due pietre sulle spallette dell’efod, come pietre di ricordanza per i figliuoli d’Israele; e Aaronne porterà i loro nomi davanti all’Eterno sulle sue due spalle, per ricordanza.
13E farai de’ castoni d’oro,
14e due catenelle d’oro puro che intreccerai a mo’ di cordone, e metterai ne’ castoni le catenelle così intrecciate.
15Farai pure il pettorale del giudizio, artisticamente lavorato; lo farai come il lavoro dell’efod: d’oro, di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto.
16Sarà quadrato e doppio; avrà la lunghezza d’una spanna, e una spanna di larghezza.
17E v’incastonerai un fornimento di pietre: quattro ordini di pietre; nel primo ordine sarà un sardonio, un topazio e uno smeraldo;
18nel secondo ordine, un rubino, uno zaffiro, un calcedonio;
19nel terzo ordine, un’opale, un’agata, un’ametista;
20nel quarto ordine, un grisolito, un onice e un diaspro. Queste pietre saranno incastrate nei loro castoni d’oro.
21E le pietre corrisponderanno ai nomi dei figliuoli d’Israele, e saranno dodici, secondo i loro nomi; saranno incise come de’ sigilli, ciascuna col nome d’una delle tribù d’Israele.
22Farai pure sul pettorale delle catenelle d’oro puro, intrecciate a mo’ di cordoni.
23Poi farai sul pettorale due anelli d’oro, e metterai i due anelli alle due estremità del pettorale.
24Fisserai i due cordoni d’oro ai due anelli alle estremità del pettorale;
25e attaccherai gli altri due capi dei due cordoni ai due castoni, e li metterai sulle due spallette dell’efod, sul davanti.
26E farai due anelli d’oro, e li metterai alle altre due estremità del pettorale, sull’orlo interiore vòlto verso l’efod.
27Farai due altri anelli d’oro, e li metterai alle due spallette dell’efod, in basso, sul davanti, vicino al punto dove avviene la giuntura, al disopra della cintura artistica dell’efod.
28E si fisserà il pettorale mediante i suoi anelli agli anelli dell’efod con un cordone violaceo, affinché il pettorale sia al di sopra della cintura artistica dell’efod, e non si possa staccare dall’efod.
29Così Aaronne porterà i nomi de’ figliuoli d’Israele incisi nel pettorale del giudizio, sul suo cuore, quando entrerà nel santuario, per conservarne del continuo la ricordanza dinanzi all’Eterno.
30Metterai sul pettorale del giudizio l’Urim e il Thummim; e staranno sul cuore d’Aaronne quand’egli si presenterà davanti all’Eterno. Così Aaronne porterà il giudizio de’ figliuoli d’Israele sul suo cuore, davanti all’Eterno, del continuo.
31Farai anche il manto dell’efod, tutto di color violaceo.
32Esso avrà, in mezzo, un’apertura per passarvi il capo; e l’apertura avrà all’intorno un’orlatura tessuta, come l’apertura d’una corazza, perché non si strappi.
33All’orlo inferiore del manto, tutt’all’intorno, farai delle melagrane di color violaceo, porporino e scarlatto; e in mezzo ad esse, d’ogn’intorno, porrai de’ sonagli d’oro:
34un sonaglio d’oro e una melagrana, un sonaglio d’oro e una melagrana, sull’orlatura del manto, tutt’all’intorno.
35Aaronne se lo metterà per fare il servizio; quand’egli entrerà nel luogo santo dinanzi all’Eterno e quando ne uscirà, s’udrà il suono, ed egli non morrà.
36Farai anche una lamina d’oro puro, e sovr’essa inciderai, come s’incide sopra un sigillo: SANTO ALL’ETERNO.
37La fisserai ad un nastro violaceo sulla mitra, e starà sul davanti della mitra.
38Starà sulla fronte d’Aaronne, e Aaronne porterà le iniquità commesse dai figliuoli d’Israele nelle cose sante che consacreranno, in ogni genere di sante offerte; ed essa starà continuamente sulla fronte di lui, per renderli graditi nel cospetto dell’Eterno.
39Farai pure la tunica di lino fino, lavorata a maglia; farai una mitra di lino fino, e farai una cintura in lavoro di ricamo.
40E per i figliuoli d’Aaronne farai delle tuniche, farai delle cinture, e farai delle tiare, come insegne della loro dignità e come ornamento.
41E ne vestirai Aaronne, tuo fratello, e i suoi figliuoli con lui; e li ungerai, li consacrerai e li santificherai perché mi esercitino l’ufficio di sacerdoti.
42Farai anche loro delle brache di lino per coprire la loro nudità; esse andranno dai fianchi fino alle cosce.
43Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli le porteranno quando entreranno nella tenda di convegno, o quando s’accosteranno all’altare per fare il servizio nel luogo santo, affinché non si rendano colpevoli e non muoiano. Questa è una regola perpetua per lui e per la sua progenie dopo di lui.

1Y TÚ allega á ti á Aarón tu hermano, y á sus hijos consigo, de entre los hijos de Israel, para que sean mis sacerdotes; á Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar é Ithamar, hijos de Aarón.
2Y harás vestidos sagrados á Aarón tu hermano, para honra y hermosura.
3Y tú hablarás á todos los sabios de corazón, á quienes yo he henchido de espíritu de sabiduría, á fin que hagan los vestidos de Aarón, para consagrarle á que me sirva de sacerdote.
4Los vestidos que harán son estos: el racional, y el ephod, y el manto, y la túnica labrada, la mitra, y el cinturón. Hagan, pues, los sagrados vestidos á Aarón tu hermano, y á sus hijos, para que sean mis sacerdotes.
5Tomarán oro, y cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido.
6Y harán el ephod de oro y cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido de obra de bordador.
7Tendrá dos hombreras que se junten á sus dos lados, y se juntará.
8Y el artificio de su cinto que está sobre él, será de su misma obra, de lo mismo; de oro, cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido.
9Y tomarás dos piedras oniquinas, y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los hijos de Israel:
10Los seis de sus nombres en la una piedra, y los otros seis nombres en la otra piedra, conforme al nacimiento de ellos.
11De obra de escultor en piedra á modo de grabaduras de sello, harás grabar aquellas dos piedras con los nombres de los hijos de Israel; harásles alrededor engastes de oro.
12Y pondrás aquellas dos piedras sobre los hombros del ephod, para piedras de memoria á los hijos de Israel; y Aarón llevará los nombres de ellos delante de Jehová en sus dos hombros por memoria.
13Harás pues, engastes de oro,
14Y dos cadenillas de oro fino; las cuales harás de hechura de trenza; y fijarás las cadenas de hechura de trenza en los engastes.
15Harás asimismo el racional del juicio de primorosa obra, le has de hacer conforme á la obra del ephod, de oro, y cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido.
16Será cuadrado y doble, de un palmo de largo y un palmo de ancho:
17Y lo llenarás de pedrería con cuatro órdenes de piedras: un orden de una piedra sárdica, un topacio, y un carbunclo; será el primer orden;
18El segundo orden, una esmeralda, un zafiro, y un diamante;
19El tercer orden, un rubí, un ágata, y una amatista;
20Y el cuarto orden, un berilo, un onix, y un jaspe: estarán engastadas en oro en sus encajes.
21Y serán aquellas piedras según los nombres de los hijos de Israel, doce según sus nombres; como grabaduras de sello cada una con su nombre, vendrán á ser según las doce tribus.
22Harás también en el racional cadenetas de hechura de trenzas de oro fino.
23Y harás en el racional dos anillos de oro, los cuales dos anillos pondrás á las dos puntas del racional.
24Y pondrás las dos trenzas de oro en los dos anillos á las dos puntas del racional:
25Y los dos cabos de las dos trenzas sobre los dos engastes, y las pondrás á los lados del ephod en la parte delantera.
26Harás también dos anillos de oro, los cuales pondrás á las dos puntas del racional, en su orilla que está al lado del ephod de la parte de dentro.
27Harás asimismo dos anillos de oro, los cuales pondrás á los dos lados del ephod abajo en la parte delantera, delante de su juntura sobre el cinto del ephod.
28Y juntarán el racional con sus anillos á los anillos del ephod con un cordón de jacinto, para que esté sobre el cinto del ephod, y no se aparte el racional del ephod.
29Y llevará Aarón los nombres de los hijos de Israel en el racional del juicio sobre su corazón, cuando entrare en el santuario, para memoria delante de Jehová continuamente.
30Y pondrás en el racional del juicio Urim y Thummim, para que estén sobre el corazón de Aarón cuando entrare delante de Jehová: y llevará siempre Aarón el juicio de los hijos de Israel sobre su corazón delante de Jehová.
31Harás el manto del ephod todo de jacinto:
32Y en medio de él por arriba habrá una abertura, la cual tendrá un borde alrededor de obra de tejedor, como el cuello de un coselete, para que no se rompa.
33Y abajo en sus orillas harás granadas de jacinto, y púrpura, y carmesí, por sus bordes alrededor; y entre ellas campanillas de oro alrededor:
34Una campanilla de oro y una granada, campanilla de oro y granada, por las orillas del manto alrededor.
35Y estará sobre Aarón cuando ministrare; y oiráse su sonido cuando él entrare en el santuario delante de Jehová y cuando saliere, porque no muera.
36Harás además una plancha de oro fino, y grabarás en ella grabadura de sello, SANTIDAD Á JEHOVÁ.
37Y la pondrás con un cordón de jacinto, y estará sobre la mitra; por el frente anterior de la mitra estará.
38Y estará sobre la frente de Aarón: y llevará Aarón el pecado de las cosas santas, que los hijos de Israel hubieren consagrado en todas sus santas ofrendas; y sobre su frente estará continuamente para que hayan gracia delante de Jehová.
39Y bordarás una túnica de lino, y harás una mitra de lino; harás también un cinto de obra de recamador.
40Y para los hijos de Aarón harás túnicas; también les harás cintos, y les formarás chapeos (tiaras) para honra y hermosura.
41Y con ellos vestirás á Aarón tu hermano, y á sus hijos con él: y los ungirás, y los consagrarás, y santificarás, para que sean mis sacerdotes.
42Y les harás pañetes de lino para cubrir la carne vergonzosa; serán desde los lomos hasta los muslos:
43Y estarán sobre Aarón y sobre sus hijos cuando entraren en el tabernáculo del testimonio, ó cuando se llegaren al altar para servir en el santuario, porque no lleven pecado, y mueran. Estatuto perpetuo para él, y para su simiente después de él.

1And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.
2And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.
3And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
4And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
5And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.
6And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
7It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
8And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
10Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.
11With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
12And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
13And thou shalt make ouches of gold;
14And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.
15And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.
16Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.
17And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
18And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
19And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
20And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.
21And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
22And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.
23And thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
24And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.
25And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.
26And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.
27And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
28And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.
29And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.
30And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
31And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
32And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.
33And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

35And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
36And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
37And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
38And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
39And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.
40And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
41And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
42And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
43And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.

1“Bring Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, near to you from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office: Aaron, with Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.
2You shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.
3You shall speak to all who are wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron’s garments to sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.
4These are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a fitted tunic, a turban, and a sash. They shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.
5They shall use the gold, and the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the fine linen.
6“They shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the skillful workman.

14and two chains of pure gold; you shall make them like cords of braided work. You shall put the braided chains on the settings.
15“You shall make a breastplate of judgment, the work of the skillful workman; like the work of the ephod you shall make it; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, you shall make it.
16It shall be square and folded double; a span shall be its length, and a span its width.
17You shall set in it settings of stones, four rows of stones: a row of ruby, topaz, and beryl shall be the first row;
18and the second row a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald;
19and the third row a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
20and the fourth row a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They shall be enclosed in gold in their settings.
21The stones shall be according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet, everyone according to his name, they shall be for the twelve tribes.
22You shall make on the breastplate chains like cords, of braided work of pure gold.
23You shall make on the breastplate two rings of gold, and shall put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
24You shall put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
25The other two ends of the two braided chains you shall put on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod in its forepart.
26You shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its edge, which is toward the side of the ephod inward.
27You shall make two rings of gold, and shall put them on the two shoulder straps of the ephod underneath, in its forepart, close by its coupling, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
28They shall bind the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate may not swing out from the ephod.
29Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment on his heart, when he goes in to the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.
30You shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be on Aaron’s heart, when he goes in before the LORD. Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel on his heart before the LORD continually.
31“You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
32It shall have a hole for the head in the middle of it. It shall have a binding of woven work around its hole, as it were the hole of a coat of mail, that it not be torn.
33On its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, all around its hem; with bells of gold between and around them:
34a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, around the hem of the robe.
35It shall be on Aaron to minister: and its sound shall be heard when he goes in to the holy place before the LORD, and when he comes out, that he not die.
36“You shall make a plate of pure gold, and engrave on it, like the engravings of a signet, ‘HOLY TO THE LORD.’
37You shall put it on a lace of blue, and it shall be on the sash. It shall be on the front of the sash.
38It shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall make holy in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
39You shall weave the tunic with fine linen. You shall make a turban of fine linen. You shall make a sash, the work of the embroiderer.
40“You shall make tunics for Aaron’s sons. You shall make sashes for them. You shall make headbands for them, for glory and for beauty.
41You shall put them on Aaron your brother, and on his sons with him, and shall anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office.
42You shall make them linen pants to cover their naked flesh. They shall reach from the waist even to the thighs.
43They shall be on Aaron and on his sons, when they go in to the Tent of Meeting, or when they come near to the altar to minister in the holy place, that they don’t bear iniquity, and die. This shall be a statute forever to him and to his offspring after him.
