Je ne l'expulserai pas de devant toi en une seule année , car le pays deviendrait un désert et les bêtes sauvages se multiplieraient à tes dépens:

No los echaré de delante de ti en un año, porque no quede la tierra desierta, y se aumenten contra ti las bestias del campo.

I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
