1Wenn jemand ein Rind oder ein Schaf stiehlt und es schlachtet oder verkauft, so soll er fünf Rinder für das eine Rind und vier Schafe für das eine Schaf erstatten. (1) Die Lutherbibel hat für 2.Mo. 22,1-31 die Zählung 2.Mo. 21,37; 22,1-30.
2Wenn der Dieb beim Einbruch ertappt und totgeschlagen wird, so trifft den Täter keine Blutschuld.
3Geschieht es aber nach Sonnenaufgang, so trifft ihn Blutschuld. Ersatz muss er leisten; hat er nichts, so soll er um den Wert des Gestohlenen verkauft werden.
4Findet man das Gestohlene, es sei Rind oder Esel oder Schaf, noch lebend bei ihm, so soll er es doppelt erstatten.
5Wenn jemand ein Feld oder einen Weinberg abweiden und sein Vieh dabei frei laufen lässt, sodass es auf dem Felde eines andern weidet, so soll er mit dem Besten (vom Ertrage) seines Feldes oder seines Weinbergs Ersatz leisten.
6Wenn Feuer ausbricht und Dorngestrüpp ergreift, und es wird so ein Garbenhaufen oder das Korn, das noch steht, oder das Feld zerstört, so soll der, der das Feuer angezündet hat, Ersatz leisten.
7Wenn jemand einem andern Geld oder Kostbarkeiten zu verwahren gibt, und es wird diesem aus dem Hause gestohlen, so soll der Dieb, wenn man ihn findet, doppelten Ersatz leisten.
8Findet man aber den Dieb nicht, so soll der Besitzer des Hauses vor Gott treten, (damit man sehe,) ob er sich nicht am Gute des andern vergriffen habe.
9Wenn es sich um Unterschlagung handelt, sei es eines Rindes, eines Esels, eines Schafes, eines Mantels oder sonst einer Sache, die verlorengegangen ist und die einer als Eigentum anspricht, so soll die Sache der beiden vor Gott kommen; wen Gott schuldig spricht, der soll dem andern doppelten Ersatz leisten.
10Wenn jemand einem andern einen Esel, ein Rind, ein Schaf oder sonst ein Tier zu hüten gibt, und es stirbt oder bricht ein Bein, ohne dass es jemand sieht,
11so soll zwischen den beiden ein Eid bei dem Herrn entscheiden, ob der Hüter sich nicht am Gute seines Nächsten vergriffen habe; dann muss der Besitzer es hinnehmen und (der andre) braucht nicht Ersatz zu leisten.
12Wird es ihm aber gestohlen, so soll er dem Besitzer Ersatz leisten.
13Wird es (von einem Raubtier) zerrissen, so soll er es als Beweis beibringen; dann braucht er das Zerrissene nicht zu ersetzen.
14Wenn jemand von einem andern (ein Tier) entlehnt, und es bricht ein Bein oder stirbt, ohne dass der Besitzer dabei ist, so muss er Ersatz leisten.
15Ist aber der Besitzer dabei, so muss er nicht Ersatz leisten; ist es (um Geld) gemietet, so geht der Mietpreis dafür.
16Wenn jemand eine Jungfrau, die noch nicht verlobt ist, verführt und ihr beiwohnt, so soll er den Brautpreis für sie zahlen und sie zum Weibe nehmen. (a) 5Mo 22:28 29
17Weigert sich aber ihr Vater, sie ihm zu geben, so soll er doch Geld darwägen, soviel der Brautpreis für eine Jungfrau beträgt.
18Eine Zauberin sollst du nicht am Leben lassen. (a) 5Mo 18:10

23Wenn du sie doch bedrückst, und sie schreien zu mir, so werde ich ihr Schreien gewiss erhören,
24und mein Zorn wird entbrennen, und ich werde euch mit dem Schwerte töten, dass eure Frauen Witwen und eure Kinder Waisen werden.

26Wenn du den Mantel eines andern zum Pfande nimmst, so sollst du ihm denselben zurückgeben, ehe die Sonne untergeht; (a) 5Mo 24:13
27ist er doch seine einzige Decke, die Hülle seines Leibes. Worauf sollte er sonst schlafen? Wenn er zu mir schreit, so werde ich ihn erhören; denn ich bin gnädig.
28Gott sollst du nicht lästern, und den Fürsten in deinem Volke sollst du nicht verfluchen.
29Die Fülle (deiner Tenne) und den Saft (deiner Kelter) sollst du nicht zurückbehalten. Deinen erstgeborenen Sohn sollst du mir geben. (a) 2Mo 13:2
30Ebenso sollst du es halten mit deinem Rind und deinem Schaf: sieben Tage mag es bei seiner Mutter bleiben, am achten Tage aber sollst du es mir geben. (a) 3Mo 22:27

1CUANDO alguno hurtare buey ú oveja, y le degollare ó vendiere, por aquel buey pagará cinco bueyes, y por aquella oveja cuatro ovejas.
2Si el ladrón fuere hallado forzando una casa, y fuere herido y muriere, el que le hirió no será culpado de su muerte.
3Si el sol hubiere sobre él salido, el matador será reo de homicidio: el ladrón habrá de restituir cumplidamente; si no tuviere, será vendido por su hurto.
4Si fuere hallado con el hurto en la mano, sea buey ó asno ú oveja vivos, pagará el duplo.
5Si alguno hiciere pacer campo ó viña, y metiere su bestia, y comiere la tierra de otro, de lo mejor de su tierra y de lo mejor de su viña pagará.
6Cuando rompiere un fuego, y hallare espinas, y fuere quemado montón, ó haza, ó campo, el que encendió el fuego pagará lo quemado.
7Cuando alguno diere á su prójimo plata ó alhajas á guardar, y fuere hurtado de la casa de aquel hombre, si el ladrón se hallare, pagará el doble.
8Si el ladrón no se hallare, entonces el dueño de la casa será presentado á los jueces, para ver si ha metido su mano en la hacienda de su prójimo.
9Sobre todo negocio de fraude, sobre buey, sobre asno, sobre oveja, sobre vestido, sobre toda cosa perdida, cuando uno dijere: Esto es mío, la causa de ambos vendrá delante de los jueces; y el que los jueces condenaren, pagará el doble á su prójimo.
10Si alguno hubiere dado á su prójimo asno, ó buey, ú oveja, ó cualquier otro animal á guardar, y se muriere, ó se perniquebrare, ó fuere llevado sin verlo nadie;
11Juramento de Jehová tendrá lugar entre ambos de que no echó su mano á la hacienda de su prójimo: y su dueño lo aceptará, y el otro no pagará.
12Mas si le hubiere sido hurtado, resarcirá á su dueño.
13Y si le hubiere sido arrebatado por fiera, traerle ha testimonio, y no pagará lo arrebatado.
14Pero si alguno hubiere tomado prestada bestia de su prójimo, y fuere estropeada ó muerta, ausente su dueño, deberá pagarla.
15Si el dueño estaba presente, no la pagará. Si era alquilada, él vendrá por su alquiler.
16Y si alguno engañare á alguna doncella que no fuere desposada, y durmiere con ella, deberá dotarla y tomarla por mujer.
17Si su padre no quisiere dársela, él le pesará plata conforme al dote de las vírgenes.
18A la hechicera no dejarás que viva.
19Cualquiera que tuviere ayuntamiento con bestia, morirá.
20El que sacrificare á dioses, excepto á sólo Jehová, será muerto.
21Y al extranjero no engañarás, ni angustiarás, porque extranjeros fuisteis vosotros en la tierra de Egipto.
22A ninguna viuda ni huérfano afligiréis.
23Que si tú llegas á afligirle, y él á mí clamare, ciertamente oiré yo su clamor;
24Y mi furor se encenderá, y os mataré á cuchillo, y vuestras mujeres serán viudas, y huérfanos vuestros hijos.
25Si dieres á mi pueblo dinero emprestado, al pobre que está contigo, no te portarás con él como logrero, ni le impondrás usura.
26Si tomares en prenda el vestido de tu prójimo, á puestas del sol se lo volverás:
27Porque sólo aquello es su cubierta, es aquél el vestido para cubrir sus carnes, en el que ha de dormir: y será que cuando él á mí clamare, yo entonces le oiré, porque soy misericordioso.
28No denostarás á los jueces, ni maldecirás al príncipe de tu pueblo.
29No dilatarás la primicia de tu cosecha, ni de tu licor: me darás el primogénito de tus hijos.
30Así harás con el de tu buey y de tu oveja: siete días estará con su madre, y al octavo día me lo darás.
31Y habéis de serme varones santos: y no comeréis carne arrebatada de las fieras en el campo; á los perros la echaréis.

1If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
2If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
3If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
4If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.
5If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
6If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
7If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man’s house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.
8If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.
9For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
10If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:
11Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.
12And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.
13If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.
14And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.

1“If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
2If the thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt of bloodshed for him.
3If the sun has risen on him, he is guilty of bloodshed. He shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
4If the stolen property is found in his hand alive, whether it is ox, donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
5“If a man causes a field or vineyard to be eaten by letting his animal loose, and it grazes in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field, and from the best of his own vineyard.
6“If fire breaks out, and catches in thorns so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed; he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
7“If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.
8If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.

22“You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child.
23If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;
24and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
25“If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest.
26If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,
27for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.
28“You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse a ruler of your people.
29“You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. “You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.
30You shall do likewise with your cattle and with your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days, then on the eighth day you shall give it to me.
31“You shall be holy men to me, therefore you shall not eat any meat that is torn by animals in the field. You shall cast it to the dogs.
