1[21:37] Wenn jemand einen Ochsen oder ein Schaf stiehlt und schlachtet's oder verkauft's, der soll fünf Ochsen für einen Ochsen wiedergeben und vier Schafe für ein Schaf.
2[22:1] Wenn ein Dieb ergriffen wird, daß er einbricht, und wird dabei geschlagen, daß er stirbt, so soll man kein Blutgericht über jenen lassen gehen.
3[22:2] Ist aber die Sonne über ihn aufgegangen, so soll man das Blutgericht gehen lassen. Es soll aber ein Dieb wiedererstatten; hat er nichts, so verkaufe man ihn um seinen Diebstahl.
4[22:3] Findet man aber bei ihm den Diebstahl lebendig, es sei ein Ochse, Esel oder Schaf, so soll er's zwiefältig wiedergeben.
5[22:4] Wenn jemand einen Acker oder Weinberg beschädigt, daß er sein Vieh läßt Schaden tun in eines andern Acker, der soll von dem Besten auf seinem Acker und Weinberg wiedererstatten.
6[22:5] Wenn ein Feuer auskommt und ergreift die Dornen und verbrennt die Garben oder Getreide, das noch steht, oder den Acker, so soll der wiedererstatten, der das Feuer angezündet hat.
7[22:6] Wenn jemand seinem Nächsten Geld oder Geräte zu bewahren gibt, und es wird demselben aus seinem Hause gestohlen: findet man den Dieb, so soll er's zwiefältig wiedergeben;
8[22:7] findet man aber den Dieb nicht, so soll man den Hauswirt vor die “Götter” bringen, ob er nicht seine Hand habe an seines Nächsten Habe gelegt.
9[22:8] Wo einer den andern beschuldigt um irgend ein Unrecht, es sei um Ochsen oder Esel oder Schaf oder Kleider oder allerlei, das verloren ist, so soll beider Sache vor die “Götter” kommen. Welchen die “Götter” verdammen, der soll's zwiefältig seinem Nächsten wiedergeben.
10[22:9] Wenn jemand seinem Nächsten einen Esel oder Ochsen oder ein Schaf oder irgend ein Vieh zu bewahren gibt, und es stirbt ihm oder wird beschädigt oder wird ihm weggetrieben, daß es niemand sieht,
11[22:10] so soll man's unter ihnen auf einen Eid bei dem HERRN kommen lassen, ob er nicht habe seine Hand an seines Nächsten Habe gelegt; und des Gutes Herr soll's annehmen, also daß jener nicht bezahlen müsse.
12[22:11] Stiehlt's ihm aber ein Dieb, so soll er's seinem Herrn bezahlen.
13[22:12] Wird es aber zerrissen, soll er Zeugnis davon bringen und nicht bezahlen.
14[22:13] Wenn's jemand von seinem Nächsten entlehnt, und es wird beschädigt oder stirbt, daß sein Herr nicht dabei ist, so soll er's bezahlen.
15[22:14] Ist sein Herr aber dabei, soll er's nicht bezahlen, so er's um sein Geld gedingt hat.
16[22:15] Wenn jemand eine Jungfrau beredet, die noch nicht verlobt ist, und bei ihr schläft, der soll ihr geben ihre Morgengabe und sie zum Weibe haben.
17[22:16] Weigert sich aber ihr Vater, sie ihm zu geben, soll er Geld darwägen, wieviel einer Jungfrau zur Morgengabe gebührt.
18[22:17] Die Zauberinnen sollst du nicht leben lassen.
19[22:18] Wer bei einem Vieh liegt, der soll des Todes sterben.
20[22:19] Wer den Göttern opfert und nicht dem HERRN allein, der sei verbannt.
21[22:20] Die Fremdlinge sollst du nicht schinden noch unterdrücken; denn ihr seid auch Fremdlinge in Ägyptenland gewesen.
22[22:21] Ihr sollt keine Witwen und Waisen bedrängen.
23[22:22] Wirst du sie bedrängen, so werden sie zu mir schreien, und ich werde ihr Schreien erhören;
24[22:23] so wird mein Zorn ergrimmen, daß ich euch mit dem Schwert töte und eure Weiber Witwen und eure Kinder Waisen werden.
25[22:24] Wenn du Geld leihst einem aus meinem Volk, der arm ist bei dir, sollst du ihn nicht zu Schaden bringen und keinen Wucher an ihm treiben.
26[22:25] Wenn du von deinem Nächsten ein Kleid zum Pfande nimmst, sollst du es ihm wiedergeben, ehe die Sonne untergeht;
27[22:26] denn sein Kleid ist seine einzige Decke seiner Haut, darin er schläft. Wird er aber zu mir schreien, so werde ich ihn erhören; denn ich bin gnädig.
28[22:27] Den “Göttern” sollst du nicht fluchen, und den Obersten in deinem Volk nicht lästern.
29[22:28] Deiner Frucht Fülle und Saft sollst du nicht zurückhalten. Deinen ersten Sohn sollst du mir geben.
30[22:29] So sollst du auch tun mit deinem Ochsen und Schafe. Sieben Tage laß es bei seiner Mutter sein, am achten Tag sollst du mir's geben.
31[22:30] Ihr sollt heilige Leute vor mir sein; darum sollt ihr kein Fleisch essen, das auf dem Felde von Tieren zerrissen ist, sondern es vor die Hunde werfen.

1CUANDO alguno hurtare buey ú oveja, y le degollare ó vendiere, por aquel buey pagará cinco bueyes, y por aquella oveja cuatro ovejas.
2Si el ladrón fuere hallado forzando una casa, y fuere herido y muriere, el que le hirió no será culpado de su muerte.
3Si el sol hubiere sobre él salido, el matador será reo de homicidio: el ladrón habrá de restituir cumplidamente; si no tuviere, será vendido por su hurto.
4Si fuere hallado con el hurto en la mano, sea buey ó asno ú oveja vivos, pagará el duplo.
5Si alguno hiciere pacer campo ó viña, y metiere su bestia, y comiere la tierra de otro, de lo mejor de su tierra y de lo mejor de su viña pagará.
6Cuando rompiere un fuego, y hallare espinas, y fuere quemado montón, ó haza, ó campo, el que encendió el fuego pagará lo quemado.
7Cuando alguno diere á su prójimo plata ó alhajas á guardar, y fuere hurtado de la casa de aquel hombre, si el ladrón se hallare, pagará el doble.
8Si el ladrón no se hallare, entonces el dueño de la casa será presentado á los jueces, para ver si ha metido su mano en la hacienda de su prójimo.
9Sobre todo negocio de fraude, sobre buey, sobre asno, sobre oveja, sobre vestido, sobre toda cosa perdida, cuando uno dijere: Esto es mío, la causa de ambos vendrá delante de los jueces; y el que los jueces condenaren, pagará el doble á su prójimo.
10Si alguno hubiere dado á su prójimo asno, ó buey, ú oveja, ó cualquier otro animal á guardar, y se muriere, ó se perniquebrare, ó fuere llevado sin verlo nadie;
11Juramento de Jehová tendrá lugar entre ambos de que no echó su mano á la hacienda de su prójimo: y su dueño lo aceptará, y el otro no pagará.
12Mas si le hubiere sido hurtado, resarcirá á su dueño.
13Y si le hubiere sido arrebatado por fiera, traerle ha testimonio, y no pagará lo arrebatado.
14Pero si alguno hubiere tomado prestada bestia de su prójimo, y fuere estropeada ó muerta, ausente su dueño, deberá pagarla.
15Si el dueño estaba presente, no la pagará. Si era alquilada, él vendrá por su alquiler.
16Y si alguno engañare á alguna doncella que no fuere desposada, y durmiere con ella, deberá dotarla y tomarla por mujer.
17Si su padre no quisiere dársela, él le pesará plata conforme al dote de las vírgenes.
18A la hechicera no dejarás que viva.
19Cualquiera que tuviere ayuntamiento con bestia, morirá.
20El que sacrificare á dioses, excepto á sólo Jehová, será muerto.
21Y al extranjero no engañarás, ni angustiarás, porque extranjeros fuisteis vosotros en la tierra de Egipto.
22A ninguna viuda ni huérfano afligiréis.
23Que si tú llegas á afligirle, y él á mí clamare, ciertamente oiré yo su clamor;
24Y mi furor se encenderá, y os mataré á cuchillo, y vuestras mujeres serán viudas, y huérfanos vuestros hijos.
25Si dieres á mi pueblo dinero emprestado, al pobre que está contigo, no te portarás con él como logrero, ni le impondrás usura.
26Si tomares en prenda el vestido de tu prójimo, á puestas del sol se lo volverás:
27Porque sólo aquello es su cubierta, es aquél el vestido para cubrir sus carnes, en el que ha de dormir: y será que cuando él á mí clamare, yo entonces le oiré, porque soy misericordioso.
28No denostarás á los jueces, ni maldecirás al príncipe de tu pueblo.
29No dilatarás la primicia de tu cosecha, ni de tu licor: me darás el primogénito de tus hijos.
30Así harás con el de tu buey y de tu oveja: siete días estará con su madre, y al octavo día me lo darás.
31Y habéis de serme varones santos: y no comeréis carne arrebatada de las fieras en el campo; á los perros la echaréis.

1If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
2If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
3If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
4If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.
5If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
6If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
7If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man’s house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.
8If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.
9For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
10If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:
11Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.
12And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.
13If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.
14And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.
15But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.
16And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
17If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
18Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
19Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
20He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
21Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
22Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
23If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
24And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
25If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.
26If thou at all take thy neighbour’s raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down:
27For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.
28Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.
29Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
30Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me.
31And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.
World English Bible
1“If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
2If the thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt of bloodshed for him.
3If the sun has risen on him, he is guilty of bloodshed. He shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
4If the stolen property is found in his hand alive, whether it is ox, donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
5“If a man causes a field or vineyard to be eaten by letting his animal loose, and it grazes in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field, and from the best of his own vineyard.
6“If fire breaks out, and catches in thorns so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed; he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
7“If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.
8If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.
9For every matter of trespass, whether it is for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any kind of lost thing, about which one says, ‘This is mine,’ the cause of both parties shall come before God. He whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor.

15If its owner is with it, he shall not make it good. If it is a leased thing, it came for its lease.
16“If a man entices a virgin who isn’t pledged to be married, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
17If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
18“You shall not allow a sorceress to live.
19“Whoever has sex with an animal shall surely be put to death.
20“He who sacrifices to any god, except to the LORD only, shall be utterly destroyed.
21“You shall not wrong an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.
22“You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child.
23If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;
24and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
25“If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest.
26If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,
27for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.
28“You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse a ruler of your people.
29“You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. “You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.
30You shall do likewise with your cattle and with your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days, then on the eighth day you shall give it to me.
31“You shall be holy men to me, therefore you shall not eat any meat that is torn by animals in the field. You shall cast it to the dogs.
