8Über jeder Sache der Übertretung, sei es ein Ochse, ein Esel, ein Schaf, ein Kleid, alles Verlorene, wovon man sagt, daß es dies sei, so soll beider Sache vor Gott gebracht werden. Wen Gott für ungerecht erklärt, der soll dem Genossen das Doppelte erstatten.

8Si el ladrón no se hallare, entonces el dueño de la casa será presentado á los jueces, para ver si ha metido su mano en la hacienda de su prójimo.

8If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.

8If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.
