8Bei jedem Fall von Veruntreuung, mag es sich um ein Rind, einen Esel, ein Stück Kleinvieh, ein Kleidungsstück, kurz um irgend etwas abhanden Gekommenes handeln, wovon jemand behauptet, daß es sein Eigentum sei, soll die Angelegenheit beider vor Gott kommen, und wen Gott für schuldig erklärt, der soll dem andern doppelten Ersatz leisten. –

8Si el ladrón no se hallare, entonces el dueño de la casa será presentado á los jueces, para ver si ha metido su mano en la hacienda de su prójimo.

8If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.

8If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.
