5Wenn Feuer auskommt und das Gestrüpp ergreift, hernach aber ein Getreidehaufen oder das in Halmen stehende Korn oder überhaupt Ackerfrüchte verbrennen, so muß der, welcher den Brand verursacht hat, vollen Ersatz leisten.

5If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.

5“If a man causes a field or vineyard to be eaten by letting his animal loose, and it grazes in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field, and from the best of his own vineyard.
