Findet man das Gestohlene, es sei Rind oder Esel oder Schaf, noch lebend bei ihm, so soll er es doppelt erstatten.

Si fuere hallado con el hurto en la mano, sea buey ó asno ú oveja vivos, pagará el duplo.

If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

If the stolen property is found in his hand alive, whether it is ox, donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
