Wenn das Gestohlene lebend in seiner Hand gefunden wird, es sei ein Ochse oder ein Esel oder ein Stück Kleinvieh, soll er das Doppelte erstatten.

Si fuere hallado con el hurto en la mano, sea buey ó asno ú oveja vivos, pagará el duplo.

If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

If the stolen property is found in his hand alive, whether it is ox, donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
