36Mais s`il est reconnu que le boeuf frappait de la corne depuis longtemps, et que son maître ne l`ait pas surveillé, celui-ci indemnisera en donnant boeuf pour boeuf, et le boeuf tué sera pour lui. (21:37)Si un homme dérobe un boeuf ou un agneau et qu`il l`égorge ou le vende, il restituera cinq boeufs pour le boeuf, et quatre agneaux pour l`agneau.

36Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

36Or if it is known that the bull was in the habit of goring in the past, and its owner has not kept it in, he shall surely pay bull for bull, and the dead animal shall be his own.
