4Porque así yo como mi nación estamos condenados a la ruina, al degüello, al exterminio. Ojalá que al menos fuésemos vendidos por esclavos y esclavas; el mal sería tolerable, y me contentaría con gemir en silencio; mas ahora tenemos por enemigo un hombre, cuya crueldad redunda contra el rey.

4Porque vendidos estamos yo y mi pueblo, para ser destruídos, para ser muertos y exterminados. Y si para siervos y siervas fuéramos vendidos, callárame, bien que el enemigo no compensara el daño del rey.

4For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.
