15Die Eilboten machten sich nach dem Befehl des Königs eilends auf den Weg, während der Erlaß in der Residenz Susa veröffentlicht wurde. Der König und Haman aber setzten sich hin, um zu zechen, während in der Stadt Susa Bestürzung herrschte.

15The posts went out, being hastened by the king’s commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
