Efesios 6

1Ihr Kinder, seid gehorsam euren Eltern in dem Herrn; denn das ist billig.
2«Ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter», das ist das erste Gebot mit Verheißung:
3«auf daß es dir wohl gehe und du lange lebest auf Erden.»
4Und ihr Väter, reizet eure Kinder nicht zum Zorn, sondern ziehet sie auf in der Zucht und Ermahnung des Herrn.
5Ihr Knechte, gehorchet euren leiblichen Herren mit Furcht und Zittern, in Einfalt eures Herzens, wie dem Herrn Christus;
6nicht mit Augendienerei als Menschengefällige, sondern als Knechte Christi, die den Willen Gottes von Herzen tun;
7dienet mit gutem Willen, als dem Herrn und nicht den Menschen,
8da ihr wisset, daß ein jeder für das Gute, das er tut, vom Herrn belohnt wird er sei ein Knecht oder ein Freier.
9Und ihr Herren, erzeiget ihnen dasselbe und lasset das Drohen, da ihr wisset, daß auch ihr einen Herrn im Himmel habt und daß bei ihm kein Ansehen der Person gilt.
10Im übrigen, meine Brüder, erstarket im Herrn und in der Macht seiner Stärke.
11Ziehet die ganze Waffenrüstung Gottes an, damit ihr den Kunstgriffen des Teufels gegenüber standzuhalten vermöget;
12denn unser Kampf richtet sich nicht wider Fleisch und Blut, sondern wider die Herrschaften, wider die Gewalten, wider die Weltbeherrscher dieser Finsternis, wider die geistlichen Mächte der Bosheit in den himmlischen Regionen.
13Deshalb ergreifet die ganze Waffenrüstung Gottes, damit ihr am bösen Tage zu widerstehen vermöget und, nachdem ihr alles wohl ausgerichtet habt, das Feld behalten könnet.
14So stehet nun, eure Lenden umgürtet mit Wahrheit, und angetan mit dem Panzer der Gerechtigkeit,
15und die Füße gestiefelt mit Bereitwilligkeit, die frohe Botschaft des Friedens zu verkündigen.
16Bei dem allen aber ergreifet den Schild des Glaubens, mit welchem ihr alle feurigen Pfeile des Bösewichts auslöschen könnet.
17Und nehmet den Helm des Heils und das Schwert des Geistes, nämlich das Wort Gottes.
18Bei allem Gebet und Flehen aber betet jederzeit im Geist, und wachet zu diesem Zwecke in allem Anhalten und Flehen für alle Heiligen,
19auch für mich, damit mir ein Wort gegeben werde, so oft ich meinen Mund auftue, freimütig das Geheimnis des Evangeliums kundzutun,
20für welches ich ein Botschafter bin in Ketten, auf daß ich darin freimütig rede, wie ich reden soll.
21Damit aber auch ihr wisset, wie es mir geht und was ich tue, wird euch Tychikus alles mitteilen, der geliebte Bruder und treue Diener im Herrn,
22den ich eben darum zu euch gesandt habe, daß ihr erfahret, wie es um uns stehe, und daß er eure Herzen tröste.
23Friede sei den Brüdern und Liebe mit Glauben von Gott, dem Vater und dem Herrn Jesus Christus.
24Die Gnade sei mit allen, die unsren Herrn Jesus Christus lieb haben, unwandelbar!

1HIJOS, obedeced en el Señor á vuestros padres; porque esto es justo.
2Honra á tu padre y á tu madre, que es el primer mandamiento con promesa,
3Para que te vaya bien, y seas de larga vida sobre la tierra.
4Y vosotros, padres, no provoquéis á ira á vuestros hijos; sino criadlos en disciplina y amonestación del Señor.
5Siervos, obedeced á vuestros amos según la carne con temor y temblor, con sencillez de vuestro corazón, como á Cristo;
6No sirviendo al ojo, como los que agradan á los hombres; sino como siervos de Cristo, haciendo de ánimo la voluntad de Dios;
7Sirviendo con buena voluntad, como al Señor, y no á los hombres;
8Sabiendo que el bien que cada uno hiciere, esto recibirá del Señor, sea siervo ó sea libre.
9Y vosotros, amos, haced á ellos lo mismo, dejando las amenazas: sabiendo que el Señor de ellos y vuestro está en los cielos, y que no hay acepción de personas con él.
10Por lo demás, hermanos míos, confortaos en el Señor, y en la potencia de su fortaleza.
11Vestíos de toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis estar firmes contra las asechanzas del diablo.
12Porque no tenemos lucha contra sangre y carne; sino contra principados, contra potestades, contra señores del mundo, gobernadores de estas tinieblas, contra malicias espirituales en los aires.
13Por tanto, tomad toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo, y estar firmes, habiendo acabado todo.
14Estad pues firmes, ceñidos vuestros lomos de verdad, y vestidos de la cota de justicia,
15Y calzados los pies con el apresto del evangelio de paz;
16Sobre todo, tomando el escudo de la fe, con que podáis apagar todos los dardos de fuego del maligno.
17Y tomad el yelmo de salud, y la espada del Espíritu; que es la palabra de Dios;
18Orando en todo tiempo con toda deprecación y súplica en el Espíritu, y velando en ello con toda instancia y suplicación por todos los santos,
19Y por mí, para que me sea dada palabra en el abrir de mi boca con confianza, para hacer notorio el misterio del evangelio,
20Por el cual soy embajador en cadenas; que resueltamente hable de él, como debo hablar.
21Mas para que también vosotros sepáis mis negocios, y cómo lo paso, todo os lo hará saber Tichîco, hermano amado y fiel ministro en el Señor:
22Al cual os he enviado para esto mismo, para que entendáis lo tocante á nosotros, y que consuele vuestros corazones.
23Paz sea á los hermanos y amor con fe, de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
24Gracia sea con todos los que aman á nuestro Señor Jesucristo en sinceridad. Amén. Escrita de Roma á los Efesios por Tichîco.

1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
22Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

12For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace,
16above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
19Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,
20for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things.
22I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state and that he may comfort your hearts.
23Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.
