3Si un homme avait cent fils, et s'il vivait un grand nombre d'années, et que les jours de ses années se multipliassent, et si son âme ne se rassasiait pas de bien-être, et que de plus il restât sans sépulture, je dirais : Plus heureux que lui est l'avorton ;

3If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
