Onde io dissi in cuor mio: Se e lo stolto, ed io egualmente morremo, che giova a me l'aver fatto maggior studio della sapienza? E dopo averla discorsa coll'animo mio, conobbi, che questo stesso è vanità:
Entonces dije yo en mi corazón: Como sucederá al necio me sucederá también á mí: ¿para qué pues he trabajado hasta ahora por hacerme más sabio? Y dije en mi corazón, que también esto era vanidad.
