Deuteronomio 9

Écoute, Israël, tu vas aujourd'hui passer le Jourdain pour marcher à la conquête de nations grandes et fortes plus que toi, de villes grandes et fortifiées jusques au ciel,

OYE, Israel: tú estás hoy para pasar el Jordán, para entrar á poseer gentes más numerosas y más fuertes que tú, ciudades grandes y encastilladas hasta el cielo,

Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,

Hear, Israel! You are to pass over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the sky,

du peuple des Anakites, grand et de haute taille que tu connais et duquel tu as ouï dire : Qui tiendrait tête aux Anakites ?

Un pueblo grande y alto, hijos de gigantes, de los cuales tienes tú conocimiento, y has oído decir: ¿Quién se sostendrá delante de los hijos del gigante?

A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!

a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard say, “Who can stand before the sons of Anak?”

Or, sache maintenant que c'est l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qui marchera à votre tête, en feu dévorant ; c'est lui qui les détruira, lui qui les fera plier devant toi, et tu les chasseras et les extermineras bien vite, comme l'Éternel te l'a promis.

Sabe, pues, hoy que Jehová tu Dios es el que pasa delante de ti, fuego consumidor, que los destruirá y humillará delante de ti: y tú los echarás, y los destruirás luego, como Jehová te ha dicho.

Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

Know therefore today that the LORD your God is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire. He will destroy them and he will bring them down before you. So you shall drive them out and make them perish quickly, as the LORD has spoken to you.

Ne dis pas en ton cœur, lorsque l'Éternel, ton Dieu, les dissipera devant toi : C'est à raison de ma justice que l'Éternel m'a fait parvenir à la conquête de ce pays ; quand c'est à raison de l'impiété de ces nations-là que l'Éternel les chasse devant toi.

No discurras en tu corazón cuando Jehová tu Dios los habrá echado de delante de ti, diciendo: Por mi justicia me ha metido Jehová á poseer esta tierra; pues por la impiedad de estas gentes Jehová las echa de delante de ti.

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.

Don’t say in your heart, after the LORD your God has thrust them out from before you, “For my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land;” because the LORD drives them out before you because of the wickedness of these nations.

Ce n'est pas à raison de ta justice et de la droiture de ton cœur que tu viens conquérir leur pays, mais c'est à raison de l'impiété de ces nations-là que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, les chasse devant toi, et afin de mettre à effet la promesse que l'Éternel fit par serment à tes pères, à Abraham, à lsaac et à Jacob.

No por tu justicia, ni por la rectitud de tu corazón entras á poseer la tierra de ellos; mas por la impiedad de estas gentes Jehová tu Dios las echa de delante de ti, y por confirmar la palabra que Jehová juró á tus padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob.

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

Reconnais donc que ce n'est pas pour ta justice que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne ce beau pays pour en faire la conquête ; car tu es un peuple au col roide.

Por tanto, sabe que no por tu justicia Jehová tu Dios te da esta buena tierra para poseerla; que pueblo duro de cerviz eres tú.

Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.

Know therefore that the LORD your God doesn’t give you this good land to possess for your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.

Rappelle-toi, n'oublie pas comment tu as provoqué la colère de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, dans le désert ; depuis le jour que tu es sorti du pays d'Egypte jusqu'à votre arrivée en ce lieu-ci, vous avez été en rébellion contre l'Éternel.

Acuérdate, no te olvides que has provocado á ira á Jehová tu Dios en el desierto: desde el día que saliste de la tierra de Egipto, hasta que entrasteis en este lugar, habéis sido rebeldes á Jehová.

Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.

Remember, and don’t forget, how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD.

Et en Horeb vous avez irrité l'Éternel, et Il s'est courroucé contre vous au point de penser à vous détruire,

Y en Horeb provocasteis á ira á Jehová, y enojóse Jehová contra vosotros para destruiros.

Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.

Also in Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, and the LORD was angry with you to destroy you.

lorsque je montai à la montagne pour recevoir les Tables de pierre, Tables de l'alliance que l'Éternel concluait avec vous. Et je demeurai sur la montagne quarante jours et quarante nuits sans manger de pain et sans boire d'eau ;

Cuando yo subí al monte para recibir las tablas de piedra, las tablas del pacto que Jehová hizo con vosotros, estuve entonces en el monte cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, sin comer pan ni beber agua:

When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:

When I had gone up onto the mountain to receive the stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.

et l'Éternel me donna les deux Tables de pierre écrites du doigt de Dieu et portant le texte de toutes les paroles que l'Éternel vous avait dites sur la montagne, du milieu du feu le jour de l'Assemblée.

Y dióme Jehová las dos tablas de piedra escritas con el dedo de Dios; y en ellas estaba escrito conforme á todas las palabras que os habló Jehová en el monte de en medio del fuego, el día de la asamblea.

And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.

The LORD delivered to me the two stone tablets written with God’s finger. On them were all the words which the LORD spoke with you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly.

Et au bout des quarante jours et des quarante nuits, l'Éternel me donna les deux Tables de pierre, Tables de l'alliance,

Y fué al cabo de los cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, que Jehová me dió las dos tablas de piedra, las tablas del pacto.

And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.

et l'Éternel me dit : Lève-toi, hâte-toi de descendre d'ici, car ton peuple, que tu as retiré de l'Egypte, forfait ; ils ont bientôt quitté la voie que je leur avais prescrite : ils se sont fabriqué une idole de fonte.

Y díjome Jehová: Levántate, desciende presto de aquí; que tu pueblo que sacaste de Egipto se ha corrompido: pronto se han apartado del camino que yo les mandé: hanse hecho una efigie de fundición.

And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.

The LORD said to me, “Arise, get down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned away from the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten image for themselves!”

Puis l'Éternel me parla en ces termes : Je considère ce peuple-là ; et, voici, c'est un peuple au col roide ;

Y hablóme Jehová, diciendo: He visto ese pueblo, y he aquí, que él es pueblo duro de cerviz:

Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Furthermore the LORD spoke to me, saying, “I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.

ne m'arrête pas ! je veux les anéantir et effacer leur nom de dessous les Cieux, et faire de toi un peuple plus fort et plus grand que lui.

Déjame que los destruya, y raiga su nombre de debajo del cielo; que yo te pondré sobre gente fuerte y mucha más que ellos.

Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.

Leave me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under the sky; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.”

Me retournant donc je descendis de la montagne, les deux Tables de l'alliance dans mes deux mains, et le feu embrasait la montagne.

Y volví y descendí del monte, el cual ardía en fuego, con las tablas del pacto en mis dos manos.

So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.

Et je vis ! et voilà que vous aviez péché contre l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous vous étiez fait un veau de fonte ; vous aviez bientôt quitté la voie que vous avait prescrite l'Éternel.

Y miré, y he aquí habíais pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios: os habíais hecho un becerro de fundición, apartándoos presto del camino que Jehová os había mandado.

And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.

I looked, and behold, you had sinned against the LORD your God. You had made yourselves a molded calf. You had quickly turned away from the way which the LORD had commanded you.

Alors saisissant les deux Tables je les jetai hors de mes deux mains et les brisai sous vos yeux.

Entonces tomé las dos tablas, y arrojélas de mis dos manos, y quebrélas delante de vuestros ojos.

And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.

I took hold of the two tablets, and threw them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes.

Ensuite je m'abattis devant l'Éternel, comme auparavant, quarante jours et quarante nuits, sans manger de pain ni boire d'eau, à cause de tous vos péchés que vous aviez commis en faisant ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, pour l'irriter.

Y postréme delante de Jehová, como antes, cuarenta días y cuarenta noches: no comí pan ni bebí agua, á causa de todo vuestro pecado que habíais cometido haciendo mal en ojos de Jehová para enojarlo.

And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Car j'appréhendais, vu la colère et le courroux dont l'Éternel était animé contre vous au point de vouloir vous anéantir, mais l'Éternel m'exauça encore cette fois.

Porque temí á causa del furor y de la ira con que Jehová estaba enojado contra vosotros para destruiros. Pero Jehová me oyó aún esta vez.

For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.

Et l'Éternel était aussi tellement irrité contre Aaron qu'il voulait le détruire, et j'intercédai alors aussi pour Aaron.

Contra Aarón también se enojó Jehová en gran manera para destruirlo: y también oré por Aarón entonces.

And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.

Et l'objet de votre péché, le veau que vous aviez fait, je le pris et je le brûlai au feu ; et l'ayant concassé et bien trituré jusqu'à le réduire en poudre menue, j'en jetai la poudre dans la rivière qui descend de la montagne.

Y tomé vuestro pecado, el becerro que habíais hecho, y quemélo en el fuego, y lo desmenucé moliéndole muy bien, hasta que fué reducido á polvo: y eché el polvo de él en el arroyo que descendía del monte.

And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.

Et à Thabeèra et à Massa et aux tombeaux de la convoitise vous excitâtes la colère de l'Éternel,

También en Tabera, y en Massa, y en Kibroth-hataavah, enojasteis á Jehová.

And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.

et aussi lorsque l'Éternel vous envoyait de Cadès-Barnéa en disant : Montez et faites la conquête du pays que je vous ai donné ; vous fûtes rebelles à l'ordre de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et vous n'eûtes pas foi en lui, et n'obéîtes point à sa voix.

Y cuando Jehová os envió desde Cades-barnea, diciendo, Subid y poseed la tierra que yo os he dado; también fuisteis rebeldes al dicho de Jehová vuestro Dios, y no lo creisteis, ni obedecisteis á su voz.

Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.

Vous avez été en rébellion contre l'Éternel, depuis que je vous connais.

Rebeldes habéis sido á Jehová desde el día que yo os conozco.

Je fus donc abattu devant l'Éternel pendant les quarante jours et les quarante nuits où je m'étais abattu, parce que l'Éternel avait parlé de vous détruire

Postréme, pues, delante de Jehová cuarenta días y cuarenta noches que estuve postrado; porque Jehová dijo que os había de destruir.

Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.

et je suppliai l'Éternel en disant : Seigneur, Éternel, ne perds pas ton peuple et ton héritage que tu as racheté, dans ta grande puissance, que tu as retiré de l'Egypte d'une main forte.

Y oré á Jehová, diciendo: Oh Señor Jehová, no destruyas tu pueblo y tu heredad que has redimido con tu grandeza, al cual sacaste de Egipto con mano fuerte.

I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

I prayed to the LORD, and said, “Lord GOD, don’t destroy your people and your inheritance that you have redeemed through your greatness, that you have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

Souviens-toi de tes serviteurs, d'Abraham, d'Isaac et de Jacob, ne regarde pas à la roideur de ce peuple, ni à son impiété ni à son péché,

Acuérdate de tus siervos Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob; no mires á la dureza de este pueblo, ni á su impiedad, ni á su pecado:

Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:

Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Don’t look at the stubbornness of this people, nor at their wickedness, nor at their sin,

de peur que le pays d'où tu nous as retirés, ne dise : C'est par impuissance de l'Éternel à les introduire dans le pays qu'il leur avait promis, et parce qu'il les haïssait, qu'il les en a tirés pour les faire mourir dans le désert.

Porque no digan los de la tierra de donde nos sacaste: Por cuanto no pudo Jehová introducirlos en la tierra que les había dicho, ó porque los aborrecía, los sacó para matarlos en el desierto.

Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.

Hé ! ils sont ton peuple et ton héritage que tu as délivré par ta grande force et de ton bras étendu.

Y ellos son tu pueblo y tu heredad, que sacaste con tu gran fortaleza y con tu brazo extendido.

Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.

Yet they are your people and your inheritance, which you brought out by your great power and by your outstretched arm.”
