OYE, Israel: tú estás hoy para pasar el Jordán, para entrar á poseer gentes más numerosas y más fuertes que tú, ciudades grandes y encastilladas hasta el cielo,
Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,

um povo grande e alto, os filhos dos anaquins, que você conhece, e de quem você ouviu dizer: “Quem pode resistir diante dos filhos de Anaque?”
Un pueblo grande y alto, hijos de gigantes, de los cuales tienes tú conocimiento, y has oído decir: ¿Quién se sostendrá delante de los hijos del gigante?
A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!

Saiba, portanto, hoje, que o SENHOR, o seu Deus, é aquele que atravessa adiante de você como um fogo consumidor. Ele os destruirá e os subjugará diante de você. Assim você os expulsará e os fará perecer rapidamente, como o SENHOR lhe falou.
Sabe, pues, hoy que Jehová tu Dios es el que pasa delante de ti, fuego consumidor, que los destruirá y humillará delante de ti: y tú los echarás, y los destruirás luego, como Jehová te ha dicho.
Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
Know therefore today that the LORD your God is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire. He will destroy them and he will bring them down before you. So you shall drive them out and make them perish quickly, as the LORD has spoken to you.
Não diga em seu coração, depois que o SENHOR, o seu Deus, os tiver expulsado de diante de você: “Por causa da minha justiça o SENHOR me trouxe para possuir esta terra”; porque é por causa da maldade destas nações que o SENHOR as expulsa de diante de você.
No discurras en tu corazón cuando Jehová tu Dios los habrá echado de delante de ti, diciendo: Por mi justicia me ha metido Jehová á poseer esta tierra; pues por la impiedad de estas gentes Jehová las echa de delante de ti.
Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
Don’t say in your heart, after the LORD your God has thrust them out from before you, “For my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land;” because the LORD drives them out before you because of the wickedness of these nations.
Não é por causa da sua justiça ou pela retidão do seu coração que você entra para possuir a terra deles; mas é por causa da maldade destas nações que o SENHOR, o seu Deus, as expulsa de diante de você, e para que ele possa confirmar a palavra que o SENHOR jurou aos seus pais, a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó.
No por tu justicia, ni por la rectitud de tu corazón entras á poseer la tierra de ellos; mas por la impiedad de estas gentes Jehová tu Dios las echa de delante de ti, y por confirmar la palabra que Jehová juró á tus padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob.
Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Saiba, portanto, que o SENHOR, o seu Deus, não lhe dá esta boa terra para possuí-la por causa da sua justiça, pois você é um povo de dura cerviz.
Por tanto, sabe que no por tu justicia Jehová tu Dios te da esta buena tierra para poseerla; que pueblo duro de cerviz eres tú.
Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
Know therefore that the LORD your God doesn’t give you this good land to possess for your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.
Lembre-se, e não se esqueça, de como você provocou a ira do SENHOR, o seu Deus, no deserto. Desde o dia em que você saiu da terra do Egito até chegar a este lugar, você tem sido rebelde contra o SENHOR.
Acuérdate, no te olvides que has provocado á ira á Jehová tu Dios en el desierto: desde el día que saliste de la tierra de Egipto, hasta que entrasteis en este lugar, habéis sido rebeldes á Jehová.
Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.

Também em Horebe você provocou a ira do SENHOR, e o SENHOR se irou contra você a ponto de querer destruí-lo.
Y en Horeb provocasteis á ira á Jehová, y enojóse Jehová contra vosotros para destruiros.

Quando eu subi o monte para receber as tábuas de pedra, as tábuas da aliança que o SENHOR fez com você, então eu fiquei no monte quarenta dias e quarenta noites. Eu não comi pão nem bebi água.

O SENHOR me entregou as duas tábuas de pedra escritas com o dedo de Deus. Nelas estavam todas as palavras que o SENHOR falou com você no monte, do meio do fogo, no dia da assembleia.
Y dióme Jehová las dos tablas de piedra escritas con el dedo de Dios; y en ellas estaba escrito conforme á todas las palabras que os habló Jehová en el monte de en medio del fuego, el día de la asamblea.
And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.

Aconteceu que, ao fim de quarenta dias e quarenta noites, o SENHOR me deu as duas tábuas de pedra, as tábuas da aliança.

Y díjome Jehová: Levántate, desciende presto de aquí; que tu pueblo que sacaste de Egipto se ha corrompido: pronto se han apartado del camino que yo les mandé: hanse hecho una efigie de fundición.
And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
The LORD said to me, “Arise, get down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned away from the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten image for themselves!”
Além disso, o SENHOR me falou, dizendo: “Eu vi este povo, e eis que é um povo de dura cerviz.

Deixe-me em paz, para que eu os destrua e apague o nome deles de debaixo do céu; e farei de você uma nação mais poderosa e maior do que eles.”
Déjame que los destruya, y raiga su nombre de debajo del cielo; que yo te pondré sobre gente fuerte y mucha más que ellos.
Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.

Então eu me virei e desci do monte, e o monte ardia em fogo. As duas tábuas da aliança estavam nas minhas duas mãos.
Y volví y descendí del monte, el cual ardía en fuego, con las tablas del pacto en mis dos manos.
So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.

Eu olhei, e eis que você havia pecado contra o SENHOR, o seu Deus. Você tinha feito para si um bezerro de fundição. Você havia se desviado rapidamente do caminho que o SENHOR lhe havia ordenado.
Y miré, y he aquí habíais pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios: os habíais hecho un becerro de fundición, apartándoos presto del camino que Jehová os había mandado.
And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.

Eu peguei as duas tábuas, e as atirei das minhas duas mãos, e as quebrei diante dos seus olhos.
Entonces tomé las dos tablas, y arrojélas de mis dos manos, y quebrélas delante de vuestros ojos.
And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.

Eu me prostrei diante do SENHOR, como da primeira vez, quarenta dias e quarenta noites. Eu não comi pão nem bebi água, por causa de todo o pecado que você cometeu, fazendo o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR, para provocá-lo à ira.
Y postréme delante de Jehová, como antes, cuarenta días y cuarenta noches: no comí pan ni bebí agua, á causa de todo vuestro pecado que habíais cometido haciendo mal en ojos de Jehová para enojarlo.
And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Pois eu tive medo da ira e do grande furor com que o SENHOR estava irado contra você para destruí-lo. Mas o SENHOR me ouviu também daquela vez.
Porque temí á causa del furor y de la ira con que Jehová estaba enojado contra vosotros para destruiros. Pero Jehová me oyó aún esta vez.
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.

O SENHOR estava tão irado contra Arão a ponto de destruí-lo. Eu orei por Arão também, ao mesmo tempo.

Quando o SENHOR o enviou de Cades-Barneia, dizendo: “Suba e possua a terra que eu lhe dei”, você se rebelou contra o mandamento do SENHOR, o seu Deus, e não acreditou nele nem deu ouvidos à sua voz.

Então eu me prostrei diante do SENHOR os quarenta dias e quarenta noites em que estive prostrado, porque o SENHOR tinha dito que o destruiria.

para que a terra de onde nos tiraste não diga: 'Porque o SENHOR não foi capaz de levá-los para a terra que lhes prometeu, e porque os odiava, ele os tirou para matá-los no deserto.'
Porque no digan los de la tierra de donde nos sacaste: Por cuanto no pudo Jehová introducirlos en la tierra que les había dicho, ó porque los aborrecía, los sacó para matarlos en el desierto.
Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.

Contudo, eles são o teu povo e a tua herança, que tiraste pelo teu grande poder e pelo teu braço estendido.”
