18Puis je me prosternai devant le Seigneur, restant comme la première fois quarante jours et quarante nuits, sans manger de pain ni boire d'eau, à cause du grave péché que vous aviez commis en faisant ce qui déplaît au Seigneur, ce qui devait l'offenser.

18And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

18I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you sinned, in doing that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, to provoke him to anger.
