3Er demütigte dich, ließ dich Hunger leiden und speiste dich dann mit dem Manna, das dir und deinen Vätern unbekannt war, um dir kundzuthun, daß der Mensch nicht von Brot allein lebt, sondern daß der Mensch durch irgend ein beliebiges Wort, das aus dem Munde Jahwes hervorgeht, am Leben erhalten werden kann.

3Y te afligió, é hízote tener hambre, y te sustentó con maná, comida que no conocías tú, ni tus padres la habían conocido; para hacerte saber que el hombre no vivirá de solo pan, mas de todo lo que sale de la boca de Jehová vivirá el hombre.

3And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

World English Bible

3He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the LORD’s mouth.
