3Il t'a donc humilié, fait sentir la faim, et Il t'a nourri de la manne que tu ne connaissais pas et que ne connurent pas tes pères, afin de te montrer que ce n'est pas du pain seul que l'homme vit, mais que, de tout ce qui procède de la bouche de l'Éternel, l'homme peut vivre.

3And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

3He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the LORD’s mouth.
