1Cuando el Señor tu Dios los lleve a la tierra donde van, que será tu herencia, y expulsara a las naciones de delante de ti, los hititas y los gergeseos y los amorreos y los cananeos y los ferezeos los heveos y los jebuseos, siete naciones más grandes y más fuertes que tú;
2Y cuando el Señor te haya entregado en tus manos y los hayas vencido, destrúyelos por completo. No hagas pacto con ellos, y no tengan piedad de ellos.
3No tomen esposas o esposos de entre ellos; no darás tus hijas, a sus hijos, ni las tomen para tus hijos.
4Porque a través de ellos sus hijos se volverán de mí a la adoración de otros dioses, y el Señor se moverá a la ira contra ti y te enviará la destrucción rápidamente.
5Pero esto es lo que deben hacerles: sus altares deben ser derribados y sus pilares destrozados, y sus árboles sagrados y sus imágenes quemadas con fuego.
6Porque son un pueblo santo para el Señor tu Dios: marcado por el Señor tu Dios para ser su pueblo especial de todas las naciones en la faz de la tierra.
7El Señor no les dio su amor ni los tomó para sí mismo porque eran más numeroso que cualquier otra persona; porque ustedes eran el más pequeño de las naciones;
8Pero debido a su amor por ustedes, y para mantener su juramento a sus padres, el Señor los sacó con la fuerza de su mano, liberándolos de la esclavitud de la mano de Faraón, rey de egipto.
9Entonces conoce de que el Señor tu Dios es Dios; él Dios fiel, que guarda su pacto y misericordia, a través de mil generaciones para aquellos que lo aman y guardan sus leyes;
10Recompensando a sus enemigos en su rostro con destrucción; no tendrá piedad de quienes le odian, sino que les dará un castigo.
11Así que guarda las órdenes y las leyes y las decisiones que les doy hoy y hazlas.
12Y será que si prestas atención a estas decisiones y las guardas y las cumples, entonces el Señor mantendrá su pacto con ustedes y su misericordia, como dijo en su juramento a tus padres.
13Y él les dará su amor, bendiciéndolos y multiplicándolos, enviará su bendición sobre su descendencia y el fruto de su tierra, su grano y su vino y su aceite, el aumento de su ganado. y las crías de su rebaño, en la tierra que por su juramento a su padres se comprometió a darles.
14Tendrán mayores bendiciones que cualquier otro pueblo; ningún hombre o mujer entre ustedes o entre su ganado quedará sin descendencia.
15Y el Señor les quitará todas las enfermedades, y no les pondrá ninguna de las enfermedades malignas de Egipto que han visto, sino que las pondrá sobre sus enemigos.
16Y Deben enviar destrucción sobre todos los pueblos que el Señor su Dios entregue en sus manos; no tengan piedad de ellos, y no le den adoración a sus dioses; porque eso será causa de pecado para ustedes.
17Si dicen en sus corazones, estas naciones son más numerosas que nosotros: ¿cómo vamos a quitarles su tierra?
18No temas a ellos, pero ten en cuenta lo que el Señor tu Dios hizo a Faraón y a todo Egipto;
19Los grandes castigos que sus ojos vieron, y las señales y maravillas, y la mano fuerte y el brazo extendido, mediante el cual el Señor su Dios los sacó: así hará el Señor su Dios a todos los pueblos. Así mismo hará con quienes son la causa de sus temores.
20Y el Señor enviará un avispón entre ellos, hasta que todos los demás que se han mantenido a salvo de ustedes en lugares secretos hayan sido cortados.
21No tengas miedo de ellos, porque el Señor su Dios está en medio de ustedes, un gran Dios para ser temido.
22El Señor su Dios expulsará las naciones delante de ustedes poco a poco; no deben ser eliminados rápidamente, por temor a que las bestias del campo aumenten demasiado contra ustedes.
23Pero el Señor su Dios los entregará en sus manos, dominándolos hasta que su destrucción sea completa.
24Él entregará sus reyes a sus manos, y ustedes pondrán sus nombres fuera de la existencia bajo el cielo; no hay ninguno de ellos que no ceda ante ustedes, hasta que su destrucción sea completa.
25Las imágenes de sus dioses deben ser quemadas con fuego. No tengan ningún deseo por el oro y la plata en ellos, y no lo tomen para ustedes mismos, ya que será un peligro para ustedes: es algo desagradable para el Señor tu Dios.
26Y no pueden llevar una cosa abominable a tu casa, porque como tal serán destruidos junto con ellos, pero manténganse alejados de ella con temor y odio, porque es una cosa maldita.

1CUANDO Jehová tu Dios te hubiere introducido en la tierra en la cual tú has de entrar para poseerla, y hubiere echado de delante de ti muchas gentes, al Hetheo, al Gergeseo, y al Amorrheo, y al Cananeo, y al Pherezeo, y al Heveo, y al Jebuseo, siete naciones mayores y más fuertes que tú;
2Y Jehová tu Dios las hubiere entregado delante de ti, y las hirieres, del todo las destruirás: no harás con ellos alianza, ni las tomarás á merced.
3Y no emparentarás con ellos: no darás tu hija á su hijo, ni tomarás á su hija para tu hijo.
4Porque desviará á tu hijo de en pos de mí, y servirán á dioses ajenos; y el furor de Jehová se encenderá sobre vosotros, y te destruirá presto.
5Mas así habéis de hacer con ellos: sus altares destruiréis, y quebraréis sus estatuas, y cortaréis sus bosques, y quemaréis sus esculturas en el fuego.
6Porque tú eres pueblo santo á Jehová tu Dios: Jehová tu Dios te ha escogido para serle un pueblo especial, más que todos los pueblos que están sobre la haz de la tierra.
7No por ser vosotros más que todos los pueblos os ha querido Jehová, y os ha escogido; porque vosotros erais los más pocos de todos los pueblos:
8Sino porque Jehová os amó, y quiso guardar el juramento que juró á vuestros padres, os ha sacado Jehová con mano fuerte, y os ha rescatado de casa de siervos, de la mano de Faraón, rey de Egipto.
9Conoce, pues, que Jehová tu Dios es Dios, Dios fiel, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia á los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos, hasta las mil generaciones;
10Y que da el pago en su cara al que le aborrece, destruyéndolo: ni lo dilatará al que le odia, en su cara le dará el pago.
11Guarda por tanto los mandamientos, y estatutos, y derechos que yo te mando hoy que cumplas.
12Y será que, por haber oído estos derechos, y guardado y puéstolos por obra, Jehová tu Dios guardará contigo el pacto y la misericordia que juró á tus padres;
13Y te amará, y te bendecirá, y te multiplicará, y bendecirá el fruto de tu vientre, y el fruto de tu tierra, y tu grano, y tu mosto, y tu aceite, la cría de tus vacas, y los rebaños de tus ovejas, en la tierra que juró á tus padres que te daría.
14Bendito serás más que todos los pueblos: no habrá en ti varón ni hembra estéril, ni en tus bestias.
15Y quitará Jehová de ti toda enfermedad; y todas las malas plagas de Egipto, que tú sabes, no las pondrá sobre ti, antes las pondrá sobre todos los que te aborrecieren.
16Y consumirás á todos los pueblos que te da Jehová tu Dios: no los perdonará tu ojo; ni servirás á sus dioses, que te será tropiezo.
17Cuando dijeres en tu corazón: Estas gentes son muchas más que yo, ¿cómo las podré desarraigar?;
18No tengas temor de ellos: acuérdate bien de lo que hizo Jehová tu Dios con Faraón y con todo Egipto;
19De las grandes pruebas que vieron tus ojos, y de las señales y milagros, y de la mano fuerte y brazo extendido con que Jehová tu Dios te sacó: así hará Jehová tu Dios con todos los pueblos de cuya presencia tú temieres.
20Y también enviará Jehová tu Dios sobre ellos avispas, hasta que perezcan los que quedaren, y los que se hubieren escondido de delante de ti.
21No desmayes delante de ellos, que Jehová tu Dios está en medio de ti, Dios grande y terrible.
22Y Jehová tu Dios echará á estas gentes de delante de ti poco á poco: no las podrás acabar luego, porque las bestias del campo no se aumenten contra ti.
23Mas Jehová tu Dios las entregará delante de ti, y él las quebrantará con grande destrozo, hasta que sean destruídos.
24Y él entregará sus reyes en tu mano, y tú destruirás el nombre de ellos de debajo del cielo: nadie te hará frente hasta que los destruyas.
25Las esculturas de sus dioses quemarás en el fuego: no codiciarás plata ni oro de sobre ellas para tomarlo para ti, porque no tropieces en ello, pues es abominación á Jehová tu Dios;
26Y no meterás abominación en tu casa, porque no seas anatema como ello; del todo lo aborrecerás y lo abominarás; porque es anatema.

1When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
2And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
4For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
5But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
6For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
7The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
8But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
10And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
11Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
12Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
13And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
14Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
15And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
16And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
17If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
18Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
19The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
20Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
21Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
22And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
23But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
24And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
25The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.
26Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

1When the LORD your God brings you into the land where you go to possess it, and casts out many nations before you—the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite—seven nations greater and mightier than you;
2and when the LORD your God delivers them up before you, and you strike them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them.
3You shall not make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to his son, nor shall you take his daughter for your son.
4For that would turn away your sons from following me, that they may serve other gods. So the LORD’s anger would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you quickly.
5But you shall deal with them like this: you shall break down their altars, dash their pillars in pieces, cut down their Asherah poles, and burn their engraved images with fire.
6For you are a holy people to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.
7The LORD didn’t set his love on you nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all peoples;
8but because the LORD loves you, and because he desires to keep the oath which he swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

13He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your livestock and the young of your flock, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.
14You will be blessed above all peoples. There won’t be male or female barren among you, or among your livestock.
15The LORD will take away from you all sickness; and he will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, on you, but will lay them on all those who hate you.
16You shall consume all the peoples whom the LORD your God shall deliver to you. Your eye shall not pity them. You shall not serve their gods; for that would be a snare to you.
17If you shall say in your heart, “These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?”
18you shall not be afraid of them. You shall remember well what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt:
19the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, the wonders, the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, by which the LORD your God brought you out. So shall the LORD your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.

24He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you shall make their name perish from under the sky. No one will be able to stand before you until you have destroyed them.
25You shall burn the engraved images of their gods with fire. You shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourself, lest you be snared in it; for it is an abomination to the LORD your God.
26You shall not bring an abomination into your house and become a devoted thing like it. You shall utterly detest it. You shall utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.
