1Und dies sind die Gebote, die Satzungen und die Rechte, welche Jehova, euer Gott, geboten hat, euch zu lehren, damit ihr sie tuet in dem Lande, wohin ihr hinüberziehet, um es in Besitz zu nehmen;
2auf daß du Jehova, deinen Gott, fürchtest alle Tage deines Lebens, um zu beobachten alle seine Satzungen und seine Gebote, die ich dir gebiete, du und dein Sohn und deines Sohnes Sohn, und auf daß deine Tage sich verlängern.
3So höre denn, Israel, und achte darauf, sie zu tun, damit es dir wohlgehe, und ihr euch sehr mehret, so wie Jehova, der Gott deiner Väter, zu dir geredet hat, in einem Lande, das von Milch und Honig fließt!
4Höre Israel: Jehova, unser Gott, ist ein einziger Jehova!
5Und du sollst Jehova, deinen Gott, lieben mit deinem ganzen Herzen und mit deiner ganzen Seele und mit deiner ganzen Kraft.
6Und diese Worte, die ich dir heute gebiete, sollen auf deinem Herzen sein.
7Und du sollst sie deinen Kindern einschärfen und davon reden, wenn du in deinem Hause sitzest, und wenn du auf dem Wege gehst, und wenn du dich niederlegst, und wenn du aufstehst.
8Und du sollst sie zum Zeichen auf deine Hand binden, und sie sollen zu Stirnbändern sein zwischen deinen Augen;
9und du sollst sie auf die Pfosten deines Hauses und an deine Tore schreiben.
10Und es soll geschehen, wenn Jehova, dein Gott, dich in das Land bringt, das er deinen Vätern, Abraham, Isaak und Jakob, geschworen hat, dir zu geben: große und gute Städte, die du nicht gebaut hast,
11und Häuser, voll von allem Gut, die du nicht gefüllt, und gehauene Zisternen, die du nicht gehauen, Weinberge und Olivengärten, die du nicht gepflanzt hast, und du essen und satt werden wirst:
12so hüte dich, daß du Jehovas nicht vergessest, der dich herausgeführt hat aus dem Lande Ägypten, aus dem Hause der Knechtschaft.
13Jehova, deinen Gott, sollst du fürchten und ihm dienen, und bei seinem Namen sollst du schwören.
14Ihr sollt nicht anderen Göttern nachgehen, von den Göttern der Völker, die rings um euch her sind;
15denn ein eifernder Gott ist Jehova, dein Gott, in deiner Mitte: Damit nicht der Zorn Jehovas, deines Gottes, wider dich entbrenne, und er dich vertilge vom Erdboden hinweg.
16Ihr sollt Jehova, euren Gott, nicht versuchen, wie ihr ihn zu Massa versucht habt.
17Ihr sollt fleißig beobachten die Gebote Jehovas, eures Gottes, und seine Zeugnisse und seine Satzungen, die er dir geboten hat.
18Und du sollst tun, was recht und gut ist in den Augen Jehovas, auf daß es dir wohlgehe und du hineinkommest und das gute Land in Besitz nehmest, welches Jehova deinen Vätern zugeschworen hat,
19indem er alle deine Feinde vor dir ausstößt, so wie Jehova geredet hat.
20Wenn dein Sohn dich künftig fragt und spricht: Was bedeuten die Zeugnisse und die Satzungen und die Rechte, welche Jehova, unser Gott, euch geboten hat?
21so sollst du deinem Sohne sagen: Wir waren Knechte des Pharao in Ägypten, und Jehova hat uns mit starker Hand aus Ägypten herausgeführt;
22und Jehova tat vor unseren Augen große und verderbenbringende Zeichen und Wunder an Ägypten, an dem Pharao und an seinem ganzen Hause;
23und uns führte er von dannen heraus, um uns herzubringen, uns das Land zu geben, welches er unseren Vätern zugeschworen hat.
24Und Jehova hat uns geboten, alle diese Satzungen zu tun, Jehova, unseren Gott, zu fürchten, uns zum Guten alle Tage, daß er uns am Leben erhalte, wie es an diesem Tage ist.
25Und es wird unsere Gerechtigkeit sein, wenn wir darauf achten, dieses ganze Gebot vor Jehova, unserem Gott, zu tun, so wie er uns geboten hat.

1ESTOS pues son los mandamientos, estatutos, y derechos que Jehová vuestro Dios mandó que os enseñase, para que los pongáis por obra en la tierra á la cual pasáis vosotros para poseerla:
2Para que temas á Jehová tu Dios, guardando todos sus estatutos y sus mandamientos que yo te mando, tú, y tu hijo, y el hijo de tu hijo, todos los días de tu vida, y que tus días sean prolongados.
3Oye pues, oh Israel, y cuida de ponerlos por obra, para que te vaya bien, y seáis multiplicados, como te ha dicho Jehová el Dios de tus padres, en la tierra que destila leche y miel.
4Oye, Israel: Jehová nuestro Dios, Jehová uno es:
5Y amarás á Jehová tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y con todo tu poder.
6Y estas palabras que yo te mando hoy, estarán sobre tu corazón:
7Y las repetirás á tus hijos, y hablarás de ellas estando en tu casa, y andando por el camino, y al acostarte, y cuando te levantes:
8Y has de atarlas por señal en tu mano, y estarán por frontales entre tus ojos:
9Y las escribirás en los postes de tu casa, y en tus portadas.
10Y será, cuando Jehová tu Dios te hubiere introducido en la tierra que juró á tus padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, que te daría; en ciudades grandes y buenas que tú no edificaste,
11Y casas llenas de todo bien, que tú no henchiste, y cisternas cavadas, que tú no cavaste, viñas y olivares que no plantaste: luego que comieres y te hartares,
12Guárdate que no te olvides de Jehová, que te sacó de tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos.
13A Jehová tu Dios temerás, y á él servirás, y por su nombre jurarás.
14No andaréis en pos de dioses ajenos, de los dioses de los pueblos que están en vuestros contornos:
15Porque el Dios celoso, Jehová tu Dios, en medio de ti está; porque no se inflame el furor de Jehová tu Dios contra ti, y te destruya de sobre la haz de la tierra.
16No tentaréis á Jehová vuestro Dios, como lo tentasteis en Massa.
17Guardad cuidadosamente los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios, y sus testimonios, y sus estatutos, que te ha mandado.
18Y harás lo recto y bueno en ojos de Jehová, para que te vaya bien, y entres y poseas la buena tierra que Jehová juró á tus padres;
19Para que él eche á todos tus enemigos de delante de ti, como Jehová ha dicho.
20Cuando mañana te preguntare tu hijo, diciendo: ¿Qué significan los testimonios, y estatutos, y derechos, que Jehová nuestro Dios os mandó?
21Entonces dirás á tu hijo: Nosotros éramos siervos de Faraón en Egipto, y Jehová nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte;
22Y dió Jehová señales y milagros grandes y nocivos en Egipto, sobre Faraón y sobre toda su casa, delante de nuestros ojos;
23Y sacónos de allá, para traernos y darnos la tierra que juró á nuestros padres;
24Y mandónos Jehová que ejecutásemos todos estos estatutos, y que temamos á Jehová nuestro Dios, porque nos vaya bien todos los días, y para que nos dé vida, como hoy.
25Y tendremos justicia cuando cuidáremos de poner por obra todos estos mandamientos delante de Jehová nuestro Dios, como él nos ha mandado.

1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
2That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
10And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
11And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
12Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
14Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
15(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
16Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
19To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.
20And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
21Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
22And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
23And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
24And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land that you go over to possess;
2that you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you—you, your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
3Hear therefore, Israel, and observe to do it, that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
4Hear, Israel: The LORD is our God. The LORD is one.
5You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.
6These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart;
7and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.
9You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.
10It shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities which you didn’t build,
11and houses full of all good things which you didn’t fill, and cisterns dug out which you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees which you didn’t plant, and you shall eat and be full;
12then beware lest you forget the LORD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
13You shall fear the LORD your God; and you shall serve him, and shall swear by his name.
14You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you,
15for the LORD your God among you is a jealous God, lest the anger of the LORD your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.
16You shall not tempt the LORD your God, as you tempted him in Massah.
17You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.

19to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken.
20When your son asks you in time to come, saying, “What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD our God has commanded you mean?”
21then you shall tell your son, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. The LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;
22and the LORD showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;
23and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.
24The LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.
25It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.”
