1OR questi sono i comandamenti, gli statuti e le leggi, che il Signore Iddio vostro mi ha comandato di insegnarvi, acciocchè le mettiate in opera, nel paese al quale voi passate per possederlo;
2acciocchè tu tema il Signore Iddio tuo, osservando tutti i suoi statuti e comandamenti, i quali io ti do; tu, e il tuo figliuolo, e il figliuolo del tuo figliuolo, tutto il tempo della tua vita; e acciocchè i tuoi giorni sieno prolungati.
3Ascolta adunque o Israele, e osserva di metterli in opera, acciocchè ti sia bene, e acciocchè siate grandemente moltiplicati, nel paese stillante latte e miele, come il Signore Iddio dei tuoi padri ti ha detto.
4Ascolta, Israele: Il Signore Iddio nostro è l'unico Signore;
5Ama dunque il Signore Iddio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta l'anima tua, e con tutto il tuo maggior potere.
6E dimorino queste parole, le quali oggi ti comando, nel tuo cuore;
7e inculcale a' tuoi figliuoli, e ragionane quando tu sarai a sedere in casa tua, e quando tu camminerai per via, e quando tu giacerai, e quando tu ti leverai.
8E legale per segnale, in su la tua mano, e sieno per frontali fra' tuoi occhi.
9Scrivile ancora sopra gli stipiti della tua casa, e sopra le tue porte.
10E quando il Signore Iddio tuo ti avrà introdotto nel paese, del quale egli ha giurato a' tuoi padri, ad Abrahamo, a Isacco, e a Giacobbe, ch'egli te lo darebbe, nelle città grandi e belle, le quali tu non hai edificate;
11e nelle case piene d'ogni bene, le quali tu non hai empiute; e a' pozzi cavati, che tu non hai cavati; e alle vigne, e agli uliveti, che tu non hai piantati; e tu avrai mangiato, e sarai sazio;
12guardati che talora tu non dimentichi il Signore, che ti ha tratto fuor del paese di Egitto, della casa di servitù.
13Temi il Signore Iddio tuo, e a lui servi,
14e giura per lo suo Nome. Non andate dietro agl'iddii stranieri, d'infra gl'iddii de' popoli che saranno d'intorno a voi;
15perciocchè il Signore Iddio tuo è un Dio geloso nel mezzo di te; che talora l'ira del Signore Iddio tuo non si accenda contro a te, e ch'egli non ti distrugga d'in su la terra.
16Non tentate il Signore Iddio vostro, come voi lo tentaste in Massa.
17Del tutto osservate i comandamenti del Signore Iddio vostro, e le sue testimonianze, e i suoi statuti ch'egli vi ha dati.
18E fa' ciò che è diritto e buono negli occhi del Signore; acciocchè ti sia bene, e che tu entri nel buon paese, il quale il Signore ha giurato a' tuoi padri; e che tu lo possegga.
19Acciocchè egli cacci d'innanzi a te tutti i tuoi nemici; come il Signore ne ha parlato.
20Quando il tuo figliuolo per l'innanzi ti domanderà, dicendo: Che voglion dire queste testimonianze, e questi statuti, e queste leggi, che il Signore Iddio nostro vi ha date?
21Di' al tuo figliuolo: Noi eravamo servi di Faraone in Egitto; e il Signore ci trasse fuor di Egitto con potente mano.
22E il Signore fece miracoli, e prodigi grandi e dannosi sopra gli Egizj, e sopra Faraone, e sopra tutta la sua casa, davanti agli occhi nostri.
23E ci trasse fuor di là, per condurci nel paese il quale egli avea giurato a' nostri padri, e per darcelo.
24E il Signore ci comandò di mettere in opera tutti questi statuti, per temere il Signore Iddio nostro, acciocchè ci sia bene in perpetuo, e siamo conservati in vita, come siamo oggi.
25E ciò ci sarà giustizia, quando noi osserveremo di mettere in opera tutti questi comandamenti, nel cospetto del Signore Iddio nostro, siccome egli ci ha comandato.

1ESTOS pues son los mandamientos, estatutos, y derechos que Jehová vuestro Dios mandó que os enseñase, para que los pongáis por obra en la tierra á la cual pasáis vosotros para poseerla:
2Para que temas á Jehová tu Dios, guardando todos sus estatutos y sus mandamientos que yo te mando, tú, y tu hijo, y el hijo de tu hijo, todos los días de tu vida, y que tus días sean prolongados.
3Oye pues, oh Israel, y cuida de ponerlos por obra, para que te vaya bien, y seáis multiplicados, como te ha dicho Jehová el Dios de tus padres, en la tierra que destila leche y miel.
4Oye, Israel: Jehová nuestro Dios, Jehová uno es:
5Y amarás á Jehová tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y con todo tu poder.
6Y estas palabras que yo te mando hoy, estarán sobre tu corazón:
7Y las repetirás á tus hijos, y hablarás de ellas estando en tu casa, y andando por el camino, y al acostarte, y cuando te levantes:
8Y has de atarlas por señal en tu mano, y estarán por frontales entre tus ojos:
9Y las escribirás en los postes de tu casa, y en tus portadas.
10Y será, cuando Jehová tu Dios te hubiere introducido en la tierra que juró á tus padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, que te daría; en ciudades grandes y buenas que tú no edificaste,
11Y casas llenas de todo bien, que tú no henchiste, y cisternas cavadas, que tú no cavaste, viñas y olivares que no plantaste: luego que comieres y te hartares,
12Guárdate que no te olvides de Jehová, que te sacó de tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos.
13A Jehová tu Dios temerás, y á él servirás, y por su nombre jurarás.
14No andaréis en pos de dioses ajenos, de los dioses de los pueblos que están en vuestros contornos:
15Porque el Dios celoso, Jehová tu Dios, en medio de ti está; porque no se inflame el furor de Jehová tu Dios contra ti, y te destruya de sobre la haz de la tierra.
16No tentaréis á Jehová vuestro Dios, como lo tentasteis en Massa.
17Guardad cuidadosamente los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios, y sus testimonios, y sus estatutos, que te ha mandado.
18Y harás lo recto y bueno en ojos de Jehová, para que te vaya bien, y entres y poseas la buena tierra que Jehová juró á tus padres;
19Para que él eche á todos tus enemigos de delante de ti, como Jehová ha dicho.
20Cuando mañana te preguntare tu hijo, diciendo: ¿Qué significan los testimonios, y estatutos, y derechos, que Jehová nuestro Dios os mandó?
21Entonces dirás á tu hijo: Nosotros éramos siervos de Faraón en Egipto, y Jehová nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte;
22Y dió Jehová señales y milagros grandes y nocivos en Egipto, sobre Faraón y sobre toda su casa, delante de nuestros ojos;
23Y sacónos de allá, para traernos y darnos la tierra que juró á nuestros padres;
24Y mandónos Jehová que ejecutásemos todos estos estatutos, y que temamos á Jehová nuestro Dios, porque nos vaya bien todos los días, y para que nos dé vida, como hoy.
25Y tendremos justicia cuando cuidáremos de poner por obra todos estos mandamientos delante de Jehová nuestro Dios, como él nos ha mandado.

1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
2That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
10And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
11And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
12Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
14Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
15(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
16Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
19To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.
20And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
21Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
22And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
23And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
24And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land that you go over to possess;
2that you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you—you, your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
3Hear therefore, Israel, and observe to do it, that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
4Hear, Israel: The LORD is our God. The LORD is one.
5You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.
6These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart;
7and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.
9You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.
10It shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities which you didn’t build,
11and houses full of all good things which you didn’t fill, and cisterns dug out which you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees which you didn’t plant, and you shall eat and be full;
12then beware lest you forget the LORD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
13You shall fear the LORD your God; and you shall serve him, and shall swear by his name.
14You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you,
15for the LORD your God among you is a jealous God, lest the anger of the LORD your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.
16You shall not tempt the LORD your God, as you tempted him in Massah.
17You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.

20When your son asks you in time to come, saying, “What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD our God has commanded you mean?”
21then you shall tell your son, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. The LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;
22and the LORD showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;
23and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.
24The LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.
25It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.”
