Deuteronomio 3

Tomando, pues, otro camino, nos dirigimos hacia Basán, donde nos salió al encuentro Og, rey de Basán, con toda su gente para darnos la batalla en Edrai.

Y VOLVIMOS, y subimos camino de Basán, y saliónos al encuentro Og rey de Basán para pelear, él y todo su pueblo, en Edrei.

Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

Y me dijo el Señor: No le temas, porque así él como todo su pueblo y país están entregados en tus manos; y harás con éste lo mismo que hiciste con Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que habitaba en Hesebón.

Y díjome Jehová: No tengas temor de él, porque en tu mano he entregado á él y á todo su pueblo, y su tierra: y harás con él como hiciste con Sehón rey Amorrheo, que habitaba en Hesbón.

And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

The LORD said to me, “Don’t fear him; for I have delivered him, with all his people and his land, into your hand. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

Así, pues, entregó también Dios nuestro Señor en nuestras manos a Og, rey de Basán, y a todo su pueblo; y a todos los pasamos a cuchillo, sin dejar uno,

Y Jehová nuestro Dios entregó también en nuestra mano á Og rey de Basán, y á todo su pueblo, al cual herimos hasta no quedar de él ninguno.

So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

devastando a un mismo tiempo todas sus ciudades: no hubo población que se nos escapara: nos apoderamos de sesenta ciudades, y de toda la comarca de Argob, del reino de Og en Basán.

Y tomamos entonces todas sus ciudades; no quedó ciudad que no les tomásemos: sesenta ciudades, toda la tierra de Argob, del reino de Og en Basán.

And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

Las ciudades todas estaban guarnecidas de muros altísimos, y con puertas, y trancas o rastrillos; sin contar los innumerables pueblos que no tenían murallas.

Todas éstas eran ciudades fortalecidas con alto muro, con puertas y barras; sin otras muy muchas ciudades sin muro.

All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.

All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, in addition to a great many villages without walls.

Y exterminamos aquella gente como habíamos hecho con Sehón, rey de Hesebón, acabando con todas las ciudades, con hombres, mujeres y niños;

Y destruímoslas, como hicimos á Sehón rey de Hesbón, destruyendo en toda ciudad hombres, mujeres, y niños.

And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.

y cogimos los ganados y los despojos de las ciudades.

Y tomamos para nosotros todas las bestias, y los despojos de las ciudades.

But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

But all the livestock, and the plunder of the cities, we took for plunder for ourselves.

Con lo que nos hicimos entonces dueños de la tierra ocupada por los dos reyes amorreos que habitaban de este lado del Jordán, desde el torrente de Arnón hasta el monte Hermón,

También tomamos en aquel tiempo de mano de dos reyes Amorrheos que estaban de esta parte del Jordán, la tierra desde el arroyo de Arnón hasta el monte de Hermón:

And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;

We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon.

que los sidonios llaman Sarión, y los amorreos Sanir;

(Los Sidonios llaman á Hermón Sirión; y los Amorrheos, Senir:)

(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)

(The Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir.)

y tomamos todas las ciudades de la llanura, y la tierra toda de Galaad y de Basán hasta Selca y Edrai, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán.

Todas las ciudades de la llanura, y todo Galaad, y todo Basán hasta Salchâ y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán.

All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

We took all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, to Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

Es de saber que Og, rey de Basán, era el único que había quedado en esta tierra de la casta de los gigantes. Se muestra su cama de hierro en Rabbat, ciudad de los hijos de Amón, la cual tiene nueve codos de largo y cuatro de ancho, según la medida del codo ordinario de un hombre.

Porque sólo Og rey de Basán había quedado de los gigantes que quedaron. He aquí su cama, una cama de hierro, ¿no está en Rabbath de los hijos de Ammón?; la longitud de ella de nueve codos, y su anchura de cuatro codos, al codo de un hombre.

For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim. Behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron. Isn’t it in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? Nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its width, after the cubit of a man.)

Tomamos, pues, entonces posesión de la tierra desde Aroer, situada sobre la ribera del torrente Arnón, hasta la mitad de la montaña de Galaad; y di sus ciudades a las tribus de Rubén y de Gad.

Y esta tierra que heredamos entonces desde Aroer, que está al arroyo de Arnón, y la mitad del monte de Galaad con sus ciudades, dí á los Rubenitas y á los Gaditas:

And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead with its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites;

La otra mitad del país de Galaad y todo el de Basán, del reino de Og, con toda la comarca de Argob, lo entregué a la media tribu de Manasés. Todo este país de Basán es llamado tierra de los gigantes.

Y el resto de Galaad, y todo Basán, del reino de Og, dílo á la media tribu de Manasés; toda la tierra de Argob, todo Basán, que se llamaba la tierra de los gigantes.

And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh—all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (The same is called the land of Rephaim.

Jair, hijo o descendiente de Manasés, entró en posesión de todo el territorio de Argob hasta los términos de Gesuri y de Macati. Y puso su nombre a Basán, llamándole Havot Jair, es decir, Aldeas de Jair, hasta el día de hoy.

Jair hijo de Manasés tomó toda la tierra de Argob hasta el término de Gessuri y Machâti; y llamóla de su nombre Basán-havoth-jair, hasta hoy.

Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashan-havoth-jair, unto this day.

Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth Jair, to this day.)

Di también a la familia de Maquir parte de Galaad.

Y á Machîr dí á Galaad.

And I gave Gilead unto Machir.

Y a las tribus de Rubén y de Gad les di del país de Galaad hasta el torrente Arnón, con la mitad del torrente y sus tierras hasta el arroyo Jeboc, que parte términos con los hijos de Amón;

Y á los Rubenitas y Gaditas dí de Galaad hasta el arroyo de Arnón, el medio del arroyo por término; hasta el arroyo de Jaboc, término de los hijos de Ammón:

And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

To the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the valley of the Arnon, the middle of the valley, and its border, even to the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

y la llanura del desierto y ribera del Jordán, y los confines de Cerenet o Genezaret hasta el mar del desierto, llamado mar Salado o Muerto, hasta la raíz del monte Fasga hacia el Oriente.

Asimismo la campiña, y el Jordán, y el término, desde Cinereth hasta la mar del llano, el mar Salado, las vertientes abajo del Pisga al oriente.

The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdoth-pisgah eastward.

the Arabah also, and the Jordan and its border, from Chinnereth even to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.

Entonces os di esta orden, diciendo a los de estas tres tribus: El Señor Dios vuestro os da esta tierra por heredad; todos los hombres robustos habéis de ir armados a la ligera a la frente de vuestros hermanos los hijos de Israel,

Y os mandé entonces, diciendo: Jehová vuestro Dios os ha dado esta tierra para que la poseáis: pasaréis armados delante de vuestros hermanos los hijos de Israel todos los valientes.

And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.

I commanded you at that time, saying, “The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it. All of you men of valor shall pass over armed before your brothers, the children of Israel.

dejando las mujeres, y los niños, y las bestias: que ya sé que tenéis muchos ganados; y deberán quedar en las ciudades que os he dado,

Solamente vuestras mujeres, vuestros niños, y vuestros ganados, (yo sé que tenéis mucho ganado,) quedarán en vuestras ciudades que os he dado,

But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you;

But your wives, and your little ones, and your livestock, (I know that you have much livestock), shall live in your cities which I have given you,

hasta tanto que conceda el Señor a vuestros hermanos descanso, como os le ha concedido a vosotros; y posean ellos también la tierra que les ha de dar a la otra parte del Jordán; entonces se volverá cada uno de vosotros a la posesión propia que os he dado.

Hasta que Jehová dé reposo á vuestros hermanos, así como á vosotros, y hereden también ellos la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios les da á la otra parte del Jordán: entonces os volveréis cada uno á su heredad que yo os he dado.

Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.

until the LORD gives rest to your brothers, as to you, and they also possess the land which the LORD your God gives them beyond the Jordan. Then you shall each return to his own possession, which I have given you.”

A Josué también lo previne en aquel tiempo diciendo: Bien han visto tus ojos lo que ha hecho el Señor Dios vuestro con estos dos reyes; pues así lo hará con todos los reinos a que has de pasar.

Mandé también á Josué entonces, diciendo: Tus ojos vieron todo lo que Jehová vuestro Dios ha hecho á aquellos dos reyes: así hará Jehová á todos los reinos á los cuales pasarás tú.

And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.

I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, “Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings. So shall the LORD do to all the kingdoms where you go over.

No los temas: porque el Señor Dios vuestro peleará por vosotros.

No los temáis; que Jehová vuestro Dios, él es el que pelea por vosotros.

Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

You shall not fear them; for the LORD your God himself fights for you.”

Al mismo tiempo supliqué al Señor, diciendo:

Y oré á Jehová en aquel tiempo, diciendo:

And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

I begged GOD at that time, saying,

Señor Dios, tú has empezado a mostrar a tu siervo tu grandeza y el poder excelso de tu brazo; como que no hay otro Dios en el cielo ni en la tierra que pueda hacer lo que tú haces, ni compararse contigo en fortaleza.

Señor Jehová, tú has comenzado á mostrar á tu siervo tu grandeza, y tu mano fuerte: porque ¿qué dios hay en el cielo ni en la tierra que haga según tus obras, y según tus valentías?

O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

“Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or in earth that can do works like yours, and mighty acts like yours?

Permíteme, pues, pasar adelante a ver esa bellísima tierra de la otra parte del Jordán, y aquel incomparable monte de Sión, y el Líbano.

Pase yo, ruégote, y vea aquella tierra buena, que está á la parte allá del Jordán, aquel buen monte, y el Líbano.

I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that fine mountain, and Lebanon.”

Mas el Señor enojado contra mí por causa de vosotros, no quiso oírme; antes me dijo: Basta ya de eso, no me hables más de tal cosa.

Mas Jehová se había enojado contra mí por causa de vosotros, por lo cual no me oyó: y díjome Jehová: Bástate, no me hables más de este negocio.

But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

But the LORD was angry with me because of you, and didn’t listen to me. The LORD said to me, “That is enough! Speak no more to me of this matter.

Sube a la cumbre del Fasga, y tiende la vista a la redonda, al poniente y al norte, al mediodía y al oriente, y mira de lejos la tierra prometida: porque no has de pasar ese Jordán.

Sube á la cumbre del Pisga, y alza tus ojos al occidente, y al aquilón, y al mediodía, y al oriente, y ve por tus ojos: porque no pasarás este Jordán.

Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes; for you shall not go over this Jordan.

Da tus órdenes a Josué, y fortalécele y aliéntale, pues él es quien ha de conducir a ese pueblo y distribuirle la tierra que tú verás.

Y manda á Josué, y anímalo, y confórtalo; porque él ha de pasar delante de este pueblo, y él les hará heredar la tierra que verás.

But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

Con eso nos quedamos en este valle, enfrente del templo del ídolo Fogor.

Y paramos en el valle delante de Beth-peor.

So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor.

So we stayed in the valley near Beth Peor.
