Dürfte ich doch hinübergehen und das schöne Land jenseits des Jordan schauen, dies schöne Bergland und den Libanon!"

Pase yo, ruégote, y vea aquella tierra buena, que está á la parte allá del Jordán, aquel buen monte, y el Líbano.

I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that fine mountain, and Lebanon.”
